An RX7 and a 240Z in the same video. That's immediately a thumbs up from me. The RX7 do be missing the pop up headlights. The details on that 240Z are really nice. What a beauty.

they came standart on the 432z, a simple solution to run dual pipes on a single pipe hole without having to cut the body

Looks like a "normal" 2 tip exhaust turned 90°. (and the tips also turned 90° and re-welded)
Opel/Vauxhall did that on the VX200 / Speedster as well...

In 2017, when I went to the ring, I already saw this 240Z in front of the PistenKlaussen restaurant, but I didn't know that it was building this setup... impressive! Congrats to the owner! It deserved an easy lap at the ring!
In 2017 I was still running the original l24 engine and gearbox. No TC, big filter. 45mm Jenveys, not 50mm. But the wheels and body was the same :) I did a lap two days earlier. It is an old car, and it was the day before the drive back to Norway, so I did not want to take any chanses :)
That RX7 was 🥰. You could eat off the motor from that 240Z. I would take those 2 cars over most of the new sports cars any day. Great video, thank you for sharing. And I'm definitely subscribing.

For anyone curious that guy’s motor cost anywhere from 30-50 thousand dollars, my stock 280z engine sounds good but that thing sounds amazing 🤯

Wow 3 perfect cars! The FD with the Naca ducts and that stunning interior, the carbon brakes on the 1m...the 240's interior is stunning and I love the double stacked exhaust and the carbon airbox! The noise was fantastic.

That Datsun sounds exactly like a GTR
long live inline 6's, that motor is the big block of nissan's and only came in very few cars. Lot's of power for ohc of the time. Essentially race motor in a street car
that high pitched sound is achieved by equal length headers, intake runners and resonance. Typical of Nissan and toyota inline 6's of the time both boosted and NA
i love the 240z. Childhood dream. That built is epic.

First time i've seen a Mcintosh reciever for a car or in a car. Had no idea they made car audio, Impressive!
6:04 that startup by itself shows how much better are built cars rather than bought cars. You literally can't get this bit of "hesitation" startup from a modern Nissan GT-R persay, yet get this pure sound of a real JDM engine. This is what being a petrolhead is all about!
I think the 240Z boom is still yet to really start in Europe. In the US it is big. It is such a marvellous car to look and technically very versatile with either proven old tech or modern high power.
I heard from a very authorative source that the original design spec was in short ”Combine Healey and 250 GTO with reasonable price.” They really succeeded. Definitely a member of a dream garage with the likes of 911, Elan, A110, 037 etc.
Would have loved to see it go around the track.

Misha must know Datsuns, "StopTech brakes? In the front I guess... all around?!" It's the Z Car Garage kit. Most other kits use Wilwood or some form of OEM caliper.

Nothing like the sound on an L28 or an L24. Setup correctly with a quality cam and springs they are sick.
awesome, loved seeing the FD RX7 (I havent watched past that yet while I comment lol) love to see it has the same Burnout (brand name of the originals) front guards and rear flares that both of our FDs have. Please do a lap!!

Somehow i wish interior designers of modern cars would take a few rides in cars like the 240Z to see how elegant a dashboard can look.
Oh, and i noticed on the driving footage that the Datsun was in Switzerland in 2014 and in austria in 2017 if i'm not mistaken ;-)
Yeah, I was also very surprised how well this held up. Try a 20 year old Porsche and the dash looks horrible; this design stood the test of time.
That is true. I drove ModBall in 2014 with a friend. Norway -> England -> France -> Should have been Ibiza but the rear crankshaft seal startet to leak. Goot it fixed. Drove through Switzerland after that. 2017 was Grossglokcner, Stelvio Pass, Lake Garda, Nurburgring ++ :)

The reason you were confused about L6 vs V6 sound is likely coming from the exhaust header (equal vs unequal length). ;)
