I love seeing "before" pictures. I like to see how much work someone does on a piece in a given time.
I love your finished piece just the way it is with not mat. I love seeing before pictures. Love your progress on your wips. Happy stitching!
I think your framed piece looks perfect as is, the brown matboard will make it look cramped. Happy Stitching 🧵🥰💜
I love that you're working on The Favorite! I have that pattern in my stash and am excited to start. I never trust that super detailed paintings like this won't be too pixellated (having started a few, but not getting very far yet), but yours looks crystal clear on screen. It looks beautiful! I'm looking forward to seeing your progress. On the flower of the month question, if you don't care about them being actual flower of the months, I would switch the red one over. If I was a casual visitor looking at your work, it wouldn't be obvious to me that they go with a month, and I would just see pretty flowers and wonder, "but why put two red ones together?" OH WOW, I love the sharks! That gave me a huge thrill. I might have to search up that pattern. We're huge Columbo fans. Columbo and Monk we watch over and over. Lately we've been giggling about what a close talker Columbo is. With that coffee and cigar breath. ha, ha, ha!
Amy love seeing your before pictures. Your wips are amazing. Love your finish without the brown mat. I would flip the last two months on your flower project.
I always enjoy your flosstubes. And I enjoy seeing your progress. I am amazed at the progress on your full coverage stitches. And I think the brown mat completely complements the red in your piece.
I would leave the mat out of the square FFO. It looks great! Congratulations on that lovely finish. :-) I wouldn't flip the flowers. I think the poinsettia should be the last flower. Thanks for including your flowers at the end. Take care.
First Berry Bowl I’ve seen finished. Love it. No mat. It’s perfect. Love the before pictures.
I liked your hair! Yes to before pictures.
Always love your projects and your creativity.
I love your before photos, you always have progress on your whips!!
love seeing before and after. It amazes me how much you get accomplished. The berry bowl is great.
That brown mat for the berry bowl looks (on my screen) perfect! I think the color looks great with it! ✨
I love visiting you however you chose to share your life and stitchin. I always have a wonderful time 🥰💕
I’ve had to stop midway or I’ll forget the questions 😂 No to the mat (although I think it would still look fab, I prefer it without), yes to the desire pictures (I love seeing them!) and yes to swapping the flowers 🌸
Great video!♥️. Answering your questions: definite YES to the before photos 👍; YES to the flower switch…your instincts are great and the color balance will be much better; and last--just cut the mat down by increments and keep seeing how you like it with each cut. YOU will know what pleases your eye (it is for you after all) and know the answer for yourself. By the way, the brown mat does not clash with the sampler colors and because you don’t love red, it will tone the reds down too.
Thanks for another great video!!!😊
I so thought of you when I saw the Lindy Stitches vultures!! You're making me want to pull out my Cottage Garden fox. 😉
For the flowers, I think flip it is better. There's too much red if the poinsettia is on the last one. I think it's alright to flip it since there are no months written in the project. For the brown border I think best to skip it since there is not enough space. But maybe you can paint the frame instead. For the Santa, don't cut off the trees you've already stitched. It looks nicer longer. Praying for your speedy recovery on your surgery 🙏
I love the before and current so I hope you’ll continue. Your wips look fantastic and I love the finish on your berry bowl piece.
I like the Berry Bowl Sampler without the mat. I also like seeing progress from video to video. Please continue to put the before pictures.
Soo happy that your daughter is close by again! It does make a mama heart happy to be near her children, even if they are adults, doesn't it? I also wrote down my answers to your questions as you asked them. I think the brown of the mat detracts from the stitching. The frame is such a rich, dark brown and the mat just pales in comparison. Save it for another finish. I love the before pics and keep meaning to add them to my own videos, so please continue with that. And yes, switch around the flowers. The two red flowers above each other would big me every time I looked at the finished piece. And you aren't doing it for the months anyway, but for the flowers themselves so let them shine!
I remember when you started the bears and Santa. It looks so good..❤️❤️❤️
🦬🦬🦬 Love the brown mat! That will look stunning!!! I so want to start my Santa with the puppy after seeing yours! I kit my Mill Hills the same way! Sort the floss I know..I also have my DMC Floss guide by me so I can compare in case I am a little confused!! Happy Stitching!!!!
I like the berry bowl finish like it is without the mat. It is a beautiful stitch.
I like the berry bowls as is. I think the mat would distract from the stitching. Best wishes for your surgery. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Stitch on!!
Hey Amy! Just getting caught up on some FlossTubes & all of your WIPS are fabulous!!! 😮😍 I hope your surgery went well & recovery was speedy & complete! I love how you changed your LDS & the crow is holding a flower now!!! 🤩
Aw, thank you so much Sarah!!
I would also choose to swap those yellow and red flowers. I think that a better color placement is more important than the “correct” placement.
Amy your halloween frog is so cute. On the flowers it really doesn't matter how you want to do it. It will still be a beautiful piece. Love the berry bowls is stunning. I think the mat will take away from your stitching. I like it the way it is. I love the progress on Smokey mountain Christmas I have that on my wishlist. I love the before and after pictures. Always look forward to seeing your channel. Happy Stitching and be safe and kind. God bless
Pat
I would not add the brown border. The piece is beautiful as it is. Save it for another piece. I do like your idea of flipping the flowers 💐 so they don't blend together.
I kind of like it better without the mat. I love seeing the before! I know it's time consuming to put it in, but I will still be adding mine to my videos! If you don't care about the order, I'd say switch the flowers!
I love how you have your berry bowl framed. The brown mat would look good also I think. I think it looks lovely the way it is.
I love seeing your before progress on your wips. Its so inspiring to see how much you get done. 😁
The flowers are gorgeous. I think you should do whatever your heart desires. If you feel it's going to bother you with the reds and yellows..then move them. You want to be happy with the result 😍.
You have such beautiful pieces going. Love seeing the progress🤗
Your two framed pieces are fabulous! I would choose no mat, even though I think the color of the mat is nice and could work well with the piece. The nerdy part of me says to not switch the flowers, especially since you don’t necessarily have to stitch a poinsettia in red. The poinsettia could be a pale pink or even a white. In any case, I know it’ll be beautiful no matter what. Good luck with your surgery and recovery, and I’m so happy for you that your daughter is so close to home now. My daughter is still clear across the country, so we don’t see her in person all that much. Thank goodness for video calls.
Hi Amy!
So to answer some of your questions, I love seeing your before and after!! Also the berry bowl looks so amazing and I like it the way you presently have it!!
So happy for you that your daughter is back!!
Lots of luck with your surgery!! See you when you are feeling better ( of course on the video). Lol:-)
Amy, all of your stitching is so amazing. You have been very busy and I love them all. Take care of yourself and don't overdo after surgery.
Choose flowers that you like. I agree with separating close colors myself.
Love watching your videos, and enjoy seeing before and after pics. Your stitching all looks beautiful! I like the berry bowl framing. There is so much detail in the stitching so the simplicity of framing, plus the margins around the piece, work well. The mat looks like it matches but I'd leave it off. For the monthly flower pattern, you'd still end up with yellows and reds all at one side if you switch the months. Instead, you could change the colours of the Nov. and Dec. flowers. Poinsettias also come in lighter pink, and also a white with fleshy/pinky tones to it - and doing it lighter would balance nicely with the white of the lily of the valley on the 2nd row other side. November's flower also comes in a variety of colours so could be changed too. Wishing you all the best, and a very speedy recovery from surgery. Take care.
1. Love the flowers in any order unless you are adding the name of the month. Then it will be confusing and the focus will be on the out of order months. 2. Hooray! Your choice for 9/21 is perfect. 3. I love seeing the pics of where you left off. I try to point that out but I don’t remember and have no discipline about taking pictures. Great video!! Wonderful variety.
I like seeing the before pics. ( : I think you should try cutting down the mat. It's worth a shot and I think that brown looks nice with the piece. Take care while you're healing from your surgery.
I like to see the before pictures. Just make the November flower darker.
Good luck with your surgery praying for you. Always love your stitching
My goodness you’ve been very busy I loved all of your stitching I think your sampler looks fine without the border and the flowers I say just stitch and like it’s supposed to be in it’ll be all right I forgot the other question sorry I hope your surgery goes well and see you next time
Amy, I like my stitching framed tightly also, but the empty space between your beautifully stitched berry bowls and the frame edge is perfect for balance. The frame is dark and a larger width and the dainty but densely stitched berry bowls need the emptiness to keep the focus on the stitched piece. I love the diversity of all your pieces with a concentration on nature.
Yes! Love seeing before pics!🍁🍂🍁🍂🎃🐶
Amy! I have the same quilt stack glass front cabinet (but different) - love it 💜. I think the brown frame looks great and you should try the mat just to see - it would likely look great too. The brown on brown could be nice. Super impressed with your floss dying skills too! 🧵
Hi Amy, I have to say I think your Halloween Frog is soooo cute! I think you should switch up the flower 🌺 colors because I don’t think it matters what month the flower is in. Do what ever makes you happy! Your stitching is beautiful. I always like to see your WIPS. I also enjoy seeing before and after…just saying! You really got a good portion done on your Fox pattern. It is beautiful! I will say a prayer for a safe surgery and quick recovery ❤️🩹
I hope your surgery goes well. I like seeing the before pictures. I think the brown mat would look good
I would try to cut the mat board. I think the brown looks great. Switch the flowers cause I think that you’ll be happier. Yes I like the before and after. You are so talented. The favorite is beautiful. Have a wonderful couple of weeks. Good luck with the surgery. Hope you heel quickly.
All the best with your upcoming surgery🙏🙏🙏 So my opinion is no to the brown mat frame (it looks lovely as is), keep the flowers in monthly order (the November flower is probably a chyrsanthemum), and I like seeing your before pictures because you do such detailed projects that I like seeing the progress you've made. Your little bat is adorable! Enjoy stitching him!
Keep the flower of the month in the right place but maybe change the color of the flower
Gorgeous stitching. I would definitely leave the fruit baskets as it is without a mat. Flowers - it’s your choice. Yes we care about seeing the before, seeing the finished, seeing/hearing about the designer etc. sorry, all the details please!
Beautiful finishes and love the brown too....❤😍
Love all your stitching! Leave the fruit baskets as is!!!! The frame is great on it! No mat! It’s your piece and if you don’t like the flowers in that order, place them how you would like them! They are beautiful!
Hi Amy! I think the baskets are perfectly framed and I wouldn’t change a thing! I love the before shots but as a flosstuber I also know how much editing this is so don’t worry if you want to stop this! I love all you wips as usual especially wish you were here! Love catching up hunny, hugs and happy stitching 🧵💗
I do like seeing your before photos. It just gives me a chance to study the project a little longer. I think you should cut the brown mat. On my screen I think it may fit in just fine with the colors of the stitching. I think you could switch up the November and December flowers. Who is going to question the placement anyway. And if you like the new placement, then it is perfect. Good luck with your surgery and hope you feel better quickly.
Love your stitching. I do enjoy see your previous progress while looking at the current progress. I’m amazed how fast some Flosstubers stitch.
I’m sorry, I have no preference for mat or the flowers. No help there. Thank you for sharing your stitching. Keep it up.
Prayers for your surgery.
If you’re not fussed with months being out of order I would swap them more so it’s not two reds next to one another. I like before photos too.
Hi Amy! I hope the surgery goes well. I love the dark frame alone the best. I think it grounds all the other colors. Your WIPS are looking great! I know you are happy your daughter moved back. My son moved back from Michigan recently. Made me so happy.
I love the frog in the frame. No one will ask why did you change the order but everyone will ask about the 2 adjacent reds; so change the order. I like the before & after 😊 and I wish you a speed recovery
Love all your projects! I always do!! The berry bowl stitch looks perfect as is. I like the monthly order of the flower stitch. Maybe just make November flower a dark purple or a combo off off white and light brown? Keep the poinsettia the red? It will be beautiful whatever you do. Can’t wait to see the stocking finished!! Recover quickly and see you soon!❤️
I love seeing before pictures! That little froggie witch is really charming. Love her. When you frame that Santa , I would leave those trees in. Just my opinion. When I look at that piece, I can feel the cold! All your work is wonderful-your changes are perfect. Best wishes for good recovery from your surgery. Hope you are able to stitch a bunch.
I think switching flowers would work out great. Your stocking is gorgeous!!! I do the same with sorting floss for the small Mill Hill kits but those larger ones sometimes drive me crazy and I have to go get all my DMCs and start comparing by the number. 💜
I love seeing the before pictures [and the pattern picture] and seeing your changes. It is so interesting and encouraging to make the changes to end up with a piece that you love. Regarding the order of the flowers, if it does not bother you, then change them. Best of luck with your procedure and I hope you are well enough to get a lot of happy stitching completed.
I like the before and after pics. It’s encouraging to see how much progress you get. That way when I stitch something I know that even a little bit at a time makes a difference. Do you know if the Smokey Mountain Christmas is still in print? Love ALL your stitching!
Hi Terri, I don’t think the Smokey Mountain Christmas is in print anymore.
I tend not to use mats on my projects so I like your berry bowl as it is but seeing the mat I think I'd like that too. As for your flowers of the month, I'd switch the last two for better color balance but do what you feel works for you.
No mat, it’s stunning as is. Yes to the before pics, love to see the progress, yes to switching g the flowers! I would never know if they were switched, lol.
I saw you working on the flowers of the month last year and I finished last year. I did it the way you did, 3 x 4 I really liked them in order
Yes I do like seeing the before pictures being shown
I like the berry bowls just the way it is!
Your witchy frog is so cute!! I love seeing your before pictures, I like seeing your progress.
Could you convert the colours? Carnations come in many colours and poinsettias are now in several shades too, but that may be time consuming. They all look lovely any way they are done :)
I am going to look into converting the colors. It may be too much work.
That stocking!!!
You are amazing at switching thread colors. Very talented!!! Sending prayers and positive thoughts for your upcoming surgery. 🌻😘🌻
I’m stitching on my flower while watching you video! We’re almost exactly at the same point😄 I think switching the flowers would be a good idea, colorwise. And since you don’t have the months written down, the order doesn’t really matter, right?!
I love seeing befores too, I love seeing what flosstubers have done since the last time, I don’t remember that.
Also I hope your surgery goes well, you heal well and get a lot of good stitchy time while recovering💚
Great seeing your projects. I'd probably switch the two flowers to spread the colors out alittle. I like to see the before pictures. But if they're a pain make things easy for yourself. I'm curious. On your dyed floss. Did you bake them after or just let them dry. I have a ton of dmc floss given to me. But the colors are way to bright. I thought of toning them down. Just not sure how. Best wishes for a smooth surgery and a quick recovery 🙏. Take care.
I don’t think I put them in the oven. It was awhile go but I’m pretty sure I didn’t bake them.
I like your project framed without the matting and you should switch the flowers 😊
Yes on the mat
Hi mom!
Haha, another comment… That’s what happens when you comment while not having finished watching yet. 😆 The Santa with the bears, you say you may frame it with part of the left side left off, but personally I would not do that. On that left side, there are a couple trees that are slightly closer than those farthest trees and I think that including them makes the composition look better. Just my two cents. ;)
Thank you!! Xoxo
Hi sweet Amy! Oh toad is so cute! Oh berry bowl fits perfectly well as is! I think leave it but hey whatever you like best. Hmm I don’t know, my first thought was oh coneflowers and then yea poinsettia are Christmas.hmm not sure lol not much help. Stocking is beautiful! I am so over stockings but still figuring one for me. Think hubby should stitch it. Prayers all goes well with surgery and take care!
Xoxo
Amy, your stitching is just so beautiful!
I suggest you stitch the flowers the way you like best. I think your sampler looks much better without the mat. It's perfect in the frame you've put it in. But, hey. These are your designs and my opinions are only worth what you've paid for them (nothing). Do what brings you joy.
I love the little toad witch
Good luck on your surgery.
Flip the flowers of the month
you’ll be so happy
Not a fan of the brown mat on that piece. I love it the way it is! Best wishes for your surgery!
I wouldn’t mat
Don’t mat!
I think if the flowers don't have the name of the month on them, you can put them in any order .
Amy thanks for sharing! Think you are right about switching the flowers around.Tha mat looks good but its hard to see the real color match on camra. Is your 25 ct full coverage tighter than 25 ct lungana.I couldn't use 1 thread it didn't cover. Since it is alot of black I am doing 2 over 1 not wild about the tightness. Good luck on your surgery. Have a great week!
Hi Barbara, I am not sure about the 25ct Lugana. I don’t think I have stitched on that before. The 1 over 1 on 25ct easy count is good for me. Xoxo

💚💚💚💚💚💚
Your projects are so cute and beautiful. I would not mat the baskets, switch the flowers:)
How do you find the time to do all your stitching?
Pilgrim looks great!
I don’t work and I stitch every day. 😊 🤗
@@Amylovestoads Nice:)
Just my opinion…not a fan of the brown mat. I like my framed pieces close to the frame edge too, but I would leave it for now and continue looking for a smaller square frame. As far as the flowers, I would flip them. In the grand scheme of things, how many people are going to look at that piece and know they are flowers of the month? Who cares if they do? It’s your project! Good thoughts for your upcoming surgery.
Switch the flowers, don’t show the before
Your stitching is gorgeous and loving all of that great progress. I wouldn’t add the mat. I think the piece looks great as is.
I’ve had to stop midway or I’ll forget the questions 😂 No to the mat (although I think it would still look fab, I prefer it without), yes to the desire pictures (I love seeing them!) and yes to swapping the flowers 🌸
