Today I can present to you the full DRIVE & SOUND with the 2017 Skoda Superb SportLine powered by a 280 hp 2.0 TSI with 350 Nm of torque (weight: 1.635kg). As this Supberb also got the 4x4 AWD traction of course isn't a problem at all compared to other VAGs with this engine. Another thing which I really like is the improved ride stability and cornering capability with this DCC and AWD, this Superb can really do everything from comfort to sport! Great performance and grip with the 4x4 transmission considering the size and the weight of the car. It has the same drag performance with an Audi TT 2.0 TFSI 230hp quattro. Good looking exterior and seats, the front dashboard good have some improvement and be more modern.
I think it is deliberately designed with a less classy dash for a reason... its the budget VW Group brand ... the 2019 models have a virtual dash now

Finde den äußerst gelungen. Innen wurde aber wie bei allen sportlicheren 2.0 TSI's beim Sound nachgeholfen, oder? Virtual Cockpit und LED-Blinker hinten fehlen, aber sonst ist das schon ein tolles Auto in der Preisklasse.
Sehr schönes Familienauto mit ordentlich Dampf. Allerdings hätte skoda da zumindest etwas bisl mehr Sound rausholen können. Oder kommt es nur im Video nicht so gut rüber?
All you will ever need from a car. The front seats are amazing! If only VW would allow Skoda to take the virtual dashboard of Passat.

....but the engine is the same and you can easily remap the engine to 300hp / 400 Nm.
It's the same engine as the golf r and leon cupra r (cjxa i think) and not the same as octavia rs. 350 hp is not impossible to squeeze out of a superb😀
The new skodas look really cool, deserves better interior tho imo

They havnt engineered the dsg fart into this car have they, i can understand why. This car will appeal to the more mature type of person rather than the type that chooses the golf r cupra s3 etc. Then again i have seen rather old people driving golf 7 r's. 😎
Its a very practical car and now priced at around £26,000 - £28,000 for a delivery mileage 2018 model makes great value for money over the Golf R or Cupra

You can hear a very faint one at 0:19 , probably just needs a resonator delete to make them loud.

Naja 280 PS hin oder her, säuft sicher weniger als mein 2.8 liter Reihen-Sechser mit fast 100 PS weniger xD

Was wirklich stört ist, dass Skoda immer noch keine LED-Blinker hinten hat. Könnte viel eleganter aussehen.

Since Toyota dosen't make powerful cars. Would Skoda Superb sportline 280 will be worth his money? Like currently my Toyota costs are very low. No problems so far with anything. Could it be same with Skoda? Don't really want to buy this car, if i have to repair this soon...
Saarlanee HD Skodas are known for their reliability and sturdiness, and the money is well worth it when you consider you get such high performance and comfort. Plus it is easily moddable. Since it's the exact same engine as on a Golf R and Leon Cupra you can easily pump the power up to 350hp with just chiptuning. If you also get a performance exhaust and intercooler you can get upwards of 400 hp. It's a great package.
Tiberiu Marian Thanks! I've heard that chiptuning can break the car in the future. Is it worth doing tuning? will it make car faster 0-100 or just HP?
Saarlanee HD More HP = Faster 0-100 times. Chiptuning is dangerous only if you force the engine to run past the parameters it was built for, but as I said, it's the exact same engine as on the Golf R and Leon Cupra, which have 350hp versions. In conclusion you can safely take this engine to 350hp, it was built to withstand that. If you're looking for more performance I'd say it's worth it, as it's not that expensive, and you can take your car back to stock anytime. In any case, you should consult the mechanics when you go to a tune shop, they're way more experienced than I am and can give you better advice.
Saarlanee HD Also, I forgot to mention, chiptuning the engine past its parameters won't immediately break it, it simply may or may not result in higher wear, so it might need maintenance sooner.

In Schweden ist der VW Passat mit dem gleichen Motor, Getriebe und Antrieb erheblich günstiger.
Tatsächlich? Also auch im Vergleich zum Superb in Schweden? Oder gibts den da gar nicht;)

VW Passat Variant (GTR) ~ 36 330 EUR und mit sehr guter Ausstattung.
Skoda Superb Combi Sportline ~ 40 459 EUR und noch nur mit Xenon-Scheinwerfern, etc...
In Schweden ist der Superb keinen Blockbuster, weil der Passat fast immer günstiger ist. Und mit moderneren, neueren Technologie. Zum Beispiel Xenon vs. LED, KESSY vs Keyless, Active Info Display...etc.

Nope, this car can get to 100km/h in under 5 secs. Skoda listed it at somewhere around 5.5 seconds but they and VAG are really conservative about these figures, so it'll actually be faster.
