Hey, I just wanted to answer your question about French Beans. French-cut is just a fancy term for julienne or thinly sliced, so the process is similar to what you did to them in the video. You can get them in the states cut this way in frozen food and canned food section, but nothing beats fresh!! I'll try to make these for a side dish for Thanksgiving! I love all green beans: snappy, squeaky, or soft, but ideally soft with just a hint of squeak. This recipe looks so awesome, I think this will be my new favorite way to have green beans! (Even at Thanksgiving...who needs green bean casserole any more...from now on it's Keto garlic parmesan green beans!)

Love my beans 'al dente' with lots of garlic, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds..with a sprinkle of Feta...and YES i have often had this as a main course..thanks for you video
Cook your green beans in salted water theb chopped bacon, onion & a tbs of bacon grease and your minced garlic and let simmer for 30 minutes depending on how done you want your beans. Or you can chop the bacon and add it straight in with the beans to cook or fry it up crisp then set aside and add a tbs or 2 of the grease to the beans while they cook then top with the bacon when you're ready to serve.
I WILL be making these- AH they look SOOOO good! Easy too! My lazy Keto green beans: a can of drained green beans, butter, garlic salt, & after they have simmered a bit in the saucepan, I add a packet of Truvia, stir, & turn off the heat. Here in the South we traditionally cook our green beans to death & waste a lot of electricity. :/ Yours just look so wonderful!

Garlicky beans in butter sounds amazing. Before keto I tossed onions in bacon fat, then added the green beans (lots of them), tossed them until they were well coated with the bacon fat, added some cooked bacon bits and a little chicken stock, cooked for a good three hours or so, added cut up potatoes, and cooked until potatoes were cooked. Seasonings were salt, pepper, onion powder, and minced garlic. I like green beans many other ways including barely cooked.
This looks so good! Garlic really complements green beans very well. I like to cook my green bean with onion, garlic, bacon and stock. I may make that one of my next videos.

They are featured alongside many dishes and in many restaurants menus. This is probably why they are also known as French Beans. They were one of my childhood favourites. Cheers!

Hi my hero. Scissors are much easier to use to cut the stalk end off. Leave the bottom bit. and then you cut them them in half or pieces with scissors. Much much quicker and more time to sample the end result. hahha :)

These green beans sound delicious. I prefer my green beans either completely raw - preferably while I’m picking them out of my garden - or tender. My favorite pre-keto way to eat them was stewed until very tender with bacon, onion & lots of baby potatoes. They’re also delicious stir fried with a little sesame oil, soy sauce and sesame seeds. =) Thank you!

I heard somewhere a while ago that butter alone in a non stick frying pan, can damage the non stick! N my non stick frying pan is now ruined btw! Is frying butter in your wok damaging it???...

I love your jibber jabber! When I bite into a green bean I like to feel a little pop as my teeth pierce the bean. No mushy beans for me.

I make something similar and add a couple of minced mushrooms. That really seems to pull out the flavor.
