Woah man I almost never comment anything but I've been following you since your 1st youtube video and just stumbling onto this right now on my feed, put a big smile on my face. I always knew from there that you were going to go far (going to go?... well ehem anyway), because it was clear how much ambition and talent was manifested into that video, and even though I remember you weren't sure about continuing since you weren't getting many views after that I KNEW you'd find your own unique way designed for you to thrive and here you are. 💛 It's amazing how this right now is also being the case for a very close friend of mine that is in the same situation which out of ''seemingly'' nowhere, this past Saturday had the opportunity to perform in a stadium in front of more than 60k people and more than half a million from home... And ''seemingly'' out of nowhere opportunities are also slowly starting to appear for me, I see now I just have to create more of what I truly want! We don't fit in the regular ways of doing anything, not even growing, as you said, we are fucking artists!! Not machines to suit algorithms, our job not even as artists but as humans, as Bashar says is: ''To act on whatever is most exciting to you in the moment to the best of your ability, take it as far as you can go until you cannot take it any further, with absolutely no insistence, assumption or expectation of what the outcome should be.'' Mistakes are part of the creation process, they are not even mistakes in the 1st place, just lessons that we must learn in order to get there. And what there will be at the end if you follow that path.... it's even beyond our infinite imagination, it will astonish us to the point of tears.

Your amazing creative vision has a remarkable reoccurring theme of the highest order: love and consciousness. It is said creativity is channeling our Creator (or Source). I believe you have no doubt proven that point. Your Time Machine, shared virtual reality, and emotional timeless interface orbs all have very positive common near death experience overtones that we are all connected by consciousness whose purpose is love 🙏🏼♥️
I'm putting this in my "Top 10 TED Talks" list till I go and check the old ones if they were better than this! Hats-off to your humane-imagination! What a world we would build if we built it for each other rather than using each other.

Hi Lucas, you were so much moving a woman in her early 60s who were losing the passion to generate the electricity for herself. Your magical TED touch lets my AI gadgets resurrected. Thanks to you, I am now playing them more often with fun and purpose. I am busy now brainstorming on what sort of gifts I can make using the gadgets. Your message, “….engineers build so artists can imagine” echoes in my mind:)))) Bless you.
I've been following Lucas ever since the Reddit post with his first major project (2:36). I usually find Reddit to be a waste of time, but that day I struck gold. Not only had he created an amazing project, and one of the greatest CZcams videos to ever grace the site, but he created community. He created a Discord server that inspired many to talk and collaborate, and even started an "AR House" in LA - where he brought together a ton of fellow artists interested in creating spectacles. Art doesn't just birth miracles; it inspires.
Where Thoughts Go is one of my favorite VR experiences of all time, and I absolutely make up part of the 20% 'cry rate' each time that I play it. It stands out among a world XR experiences, and I have yet to really see anything else come close to it.
An amazing talk! If you would redo the Time Machine it would be interesting to record with a 360 camera maybe one week every month or something. Then when you revisit the week you will experience different impressions of the moments depending on where your focus is and not just where your eyes were looking at the time!

How much do WE (?) really need, as humans (with a fundamental human condition that has never really changed), really need this tech though. This is great if you want to find purpose in the tech industry but I struggle to see a deeper message than someone saying go follow your gut. Don’t get me wrong, this is a great example of trusting your gut - it certainly seems to have given him a lot of joy and happiness (although only he really knows that) 😉
Never anything more true. Something we all have but have struggled to say they know when it’s there and what it really is/feels like (I - the guilty). And also, I must clarify that I appreciate your reply. Anything I ever say I never feel a form of ‘qualification’ I’ve just from somewhere (for better or worse) learned to always play devils advocate with myself! Your video brought me a true sense of joy - something which feels very real. 🙏🏼🙌🏻
The Time Machine is 100% exactly what I expected from Google Glass came out. Lucas appears to be Bipolar. He's a creative Genius. Those two things always seem to go hand-in-hand.

Despite the fact, your breakthrough, that it is a fusion of art and technology, could lead to a significant demise of social human interaction in a person, and social traits, it gives the opportunity of doing so virtually. When art and new technology come together, amazing things can happen. It's like mixing colors on a canvas to create a beautiful painting. As we look ahead to the future, it's clear that combining art and tech can change industries and make our lives better in many ways!
Ha! That's actually one of the main things I got out of that project. In the end, I was excited to go out into the world and create more memories instead of sit back and watching them.
Great talk Lucas! You speak to the engineering mind in the artist as well as the artistic mind of the engineer! You've tossed some serious seeds of creativity that will crossbreed with other such minds and create more great things!
Isn't how positive this all feels a dangerous path to a hypernormalizing of virtual reality interaction that would cause humans to happily replace much of in person interaction with the virtual? Don't get me wrong, I love these ideas, but in the hands of less educated masses. This can, and will, be risky.
So I can’t really go back in time and change the constitution from the right to bear arms to the right to arm bears. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
Time machines aren't factually existing or have existed since the very beginning of time. We only have the capacity to take small glimpses of past events but don't have any will or capacity to actually be in that given moment from decades long past. I've seen people discussing theories and conspiracies. Very interesting to learn about.
