  • Producing the brightest images, the purest colors and the best 3D visual experiences, RGB laser technology represents the pinnacle of laser-illuminated projection. In 2015, Seattle Cinerama Theatre installed the world’s first commercial, 4K 3D laser projection system. Representing the most advanced projection system available at the time, the Christie® 6P RGB laser projector provided high-brightness, an expanded color gamut, incredible contrasts, and DCI-specified 3D. In this video, Ryan Hufford, Senior Systems Engineer at Vulcan Inc., explains how the new projector and upgrades to the iconic theatre helped revitalize and reimagine the Seattle landmark.
Today, Christie offers the widest range of RGB pure laser projectors for cinema. Explore our line-up: www.christiedigital.com/produ...

What i was expressing is that originally i max was s 70 mm film with audio sync to the film, not attached to film .In New Orleans this was the way i max was being projected. They told me that they would be converting to digital also soon .I like this better than the digital smaller .The Hollywood film i saw that had only I max sequences ,The rest ,letter box format scenes , all in 3D ,was disappointing .I liked the monkeys at madgasko, in 3D,only 40,minutes long, a lot better at the large i max .Than the local one

Motion plcture theatres are dated, no matter how large the screen. Large screen tv. and streaming has done it in.

There is a shared, communal experience that can only be felt in a crowded movie theater. Remember, the why Cinerama and Cinemascope was because tv was just invented and they needed to bring the crowds back.
