I used to kind of hate him; some squirrely little guy that probably never picked up a ball in his life trying to act like an expert. But that commercial proved that he was completely aware of how people like me perceived him and was totally willing to poke fun at himself. Was always a fan after that.
Houseguy2 that one will become a classic like the big buddy program at the end and the one where they tell kobe and keyshaun to say that's a bullshit call
My all time fav is when one of the guys tells Evander Holyfield that Charlie Steiner says he's the 80th best boxer. "In the World?!" "No, in Georgia" and then Steiner is hiding under his desk
Damn I miss Stu, I remember hearing the brotha in the 90's, he drove me nutts but of course I like many others weren't used to that style, however he kept it real and gave the Sports World something that it may never have again? "cooler than the other side of the pillow", 'Can I get a witness from the congregation?!', 'Hear the drummer get WICKED!', "Boo-Yah!", "Holla at a playa when you see him in the street!", "Just call him butter 'cause he's on a roll", "You Ain't Gotta Go Home, But You Gotta Get The Heck Outta Here.", "Make All the Kinfolk Proud ... Pookie, Ray Ray and Moesha", "See ... What Had Happened Was" See you Still here bruh!
Kobe's career was husled in class by Suart Scott R.I.P Stu. Sportscenter not the same without you. Not even with Dan Patrick (NBC) Charley Steiner (LA Dodgers) Rich Eisen (NFL N) and Steve Bedtime (NESN).
The "Big Buddy" commercial gets my vote. There's a few other oldies that were left off that I think deserved to be on this list, too. The Y2K, drafting outta high school, trading an anchor for that dude on Melrose Place. Lots of great commercials these guys make.
As great as Stuart Scott was as an anchor and reporter… this is what I remember him most for. Hope your resting easy and don’t forget to flip that pillow 😢
I love Peyton and Eli, and then the look Archie gives both. I'm old enough to be able to say I got to watch Archie Manning live. I felt so bad for that guy - those Saints teams were terrible, but he was great. No free agency back then. You were stuck on a team for life if you were any good at all.
I liked the one with the greenskeeper. It’s hard to find on CZcams, but it goes like this: they replaced the carpet with grass to prevent “injuries” and the greenskeeper is using a hedge trimmer while they’re doing SportsCenter. Like I said, it’s hard to find, but I sure do remember it.
Scott Van Pelt's and Stuart Scott's humility and willingness to allow others to laugh at them is amazing. RIP, Scott.
Stuart Scott made my childhood. Booyah! Will always be one of my favorite sports' catch phrases.
Damn I thought Van Pelt had died too with that “RIP, Scott.”
RIP John Clayton. A true legend for many of us.
Such a great one..that one was awesome when you first saw it
And Stuart Scott. Boo ya.
I used to kind of hate him; some squirrely little guy that probably never picked up a ball in his life trying to act like an expert. But that commercial proved that he was completely aware of how people like me perceived him and was totally willing to poke fun at himself. Was always a fan after that.
I used to always like him until he started avidly supporting covid vaccination. Then he died suddenly. What a coincidence.
RIP Stuart Scott. ESPN hasn't been the same without you
Lily S makes me sniffle and such when I see Stuart. great person. I think of his speech at the ESPY's with his daughter. What a great person.
OMG, I didn't know until looking on Wiki. I moved to Germany in '04, so been out of touch. RIP buddy!
And now John Clayton. Dangit.
I miss the cool side of the pillow
Man, that very early commercial at the beginning of this video with Stuart Scott and Kobe', kinda made me tear up a little. Two great men. R.I.P. 🙏
You mean Stuart Scott?
@@jasoneverett
Yea, I must have had a brain fart. I don't even remember typing his name wrong.
The one with the Manning brothers beating each other up walking down the halls of the Bristol offices and Archie looking back is my favorite
I’ve seen this commercial a zillion times and I only just realized that’s Archie🤯
I laughed so hard when the guy said, "I have a coach on my roster??" LMAO!
#22 had me dying how he said “what’s tote now” so nonchalantly
The John Clayton as a Metalhead, is one of the best ever. Also gotta love the Swedish Chef one. Plus the fake soccer injury one makes me giggle.
One of my fav is the Archie, Payton, Eli one
John Clayton and Stuart Scott ...... loved and sorely missed. RIP guys you have not been forgotten!
I never noticed that that was actually the entire Manning family on the tour...
Would be very cool if Cooper'd had a line or a kick-butt move
IMO they is a QB gene in that family. Arch Manning is lighting things up in high school.
RIP Stuart Scott
taisgdl dang it u stole my first thought watching this!
Rsinoa huyó un niuyork ola es difícil comentar cuando no hay mucha comunicación
Also Kobe Bryant too
10:37 "Your parents filled out the permission slip, get up man" 😂😂😂
The John Clayton one might be the best ever.
Houseguy2 that one will become a classic like the big buddy program at the end and the one where they tell kobe and keyshaun to say that's a bullshit call
chaja95 that one wasn’t funny though
Yeah because he has such a boring personality when on espn
By far! Seriously!
Bullshit call by an asshole! Haha your parents signed a permission slip get up haha
I miss the old ESPN
me too, it brings back memories
ESPN today sucks, Disney is losing money
That ESPN lebron special
Me, too. When men were men and men were funny and sports was king and the only thing.
@@Brucey69 No it doesn't, and no they're not.
The copier giving yellow and red cards was my favorite.
10:48 That second to last commercial was hilarious and brings back memories. Kenny Mayne: "What are you doing shooting? Pass the ball!"
John Clayton: Mah!!!!! I'm done with my segment!!!!!
lmfao that was the best one
Big buddy program...LOLOLOLOL Miss you Stuart! ESPN will never be the same!
7:57 The Manning Bros. picking at each other. That's hilarious.
I remember when ESPN was fun and about sports.
The “buddy camp” will always be my favorite. “Your parents signed a permission slip, get up”
As a parent, I know it is wrong, but I laughed so hard at "your parents signed a waiver, GET UP!" at 11:06. Overall, they are all great.
RIP to Stuart Scott really good man and always gave he Sports world what they needed. Booyah and be as cool as the other side of the pillow
That last one with the relief pitcher is so underrated
John Clayton and his mullet is the best spot!
HUGE Slayer fan
The one where they're in HD and one gets sunburned, I laughed out loud
Landon Donovan getting carded by the printer for kicking it was gold
your parents signed a permission slip, get up man. lmao too good
ok... Just got me some Stuart Scott and I feel better. The sporting world and the world in general has lost a great man.
I feel like I'm watching The Office everytime I see those This is SportsCenter commercials.
Me to
IHH
Nh
Jgdt
The birds commercial at 6:20 is GOLD. Totally forgot about that gem!
The Richard Simmons one was hilarious 😂
Ovechkin the spy was the funniest " This is sportcenter"
Seeing Jimmy Rollins in a Phillies uniform giving me so much nostalgia for the world series team
that team cheated and stole the WS from the Rays
@@sleepypete55 No they didn't
My all time fav is when one of the guys tells Evander Holyfield that Charlie Steiner says he's the 80th best boxer. "In the World?!" "No, in Georgia" and then Steiner is hiding under his desk
Smardaz I believe that was Stu who told Evander. I like that one too
Come on out Charlie and getcha whoopin!
By far my favorite one as well!!!!!!
the john clayton one killed me!!!!!
Kenny Mayne + Stuart Scott= Untouchable
I love the random mascots in the background shots of these ads.
John Clayton a legend
Damn I miss Stu, I remember hearing the brotha in the 90's, he drove me nutts but of course I like many others weren't used to that style, however he kept it real and gave the Sports World something that it may never have again?

Pookie, Ray Ray and Moesha", "See ... What Had Happened Was"
See you Still here bruh!
The John Anderson pretenting to be hurt like a soccer player is so accurate.
It wasn't on this video, but I love the SportsCenter commercial with the New Jersey Devils' mascot and the elevator.
The Jimmy Rollins critiquing had me lol'ing out loud
Frame 313 "Is that bad?" "It's not good"
We need a “The Office” type tv shows with these people in it. In remembrance for Stuart Scott
If the ESPN offices were really like that, I'd be so content.
It almost bring me to tears to see how healthy Stuart Scott was in all of these.
God I miss Stu, he was literally the person who got me watching Sportscenter after I thought it was boring for so long. SC will never be the same
Kobe's career was husled in class by Suart Scott
R.I.P Stu. Sportscenter not the same without you. Not even with Dan Patrick (NBC) Charley Steiner (LA Dodgers) Rich Eisen (NFL N) and Steve Bedtime (NESN).
LMFAO Scott Van Pelt, "That was just a poor effort", Oh man, that one kills me every time.
The Swedish Chef one still cracks me up. 🤣
5:35
"When was the last time your hair actually moved, like 1977?"
"When you put your fingers through it."
Oh my God.
When SC & ESPN didn’t suck, miss those days
The one near the end about watching soccer and Brenkus flopping was absolutely the best one. He played it out so well
The big buddy program one was hilarious
Especially when Herm Edwards said, "it's just a game."
Man that Richard Simmons one almost have me in tears. lol
Rip stuart Scott a great legend
The "Big Buddy" commercial gets my vote. There's a few other oldies that were left off that I think deserved to be on this list, too. The Y2K, drafting outta high school, trading an anchor for that dude on Melrose Place. Lots of great commercials these guys make.
These are all so effin' hilarious. "Anchor Cam" was classic. Dan's face and when Kenny throws the pen in the last one. LMAO!
The manning brothers one will never get old 🤣
Never saw this as a CZcams and ESPN fan. This was awesome. Thanks
"that's a bull**** call" forever dead XD
These guys are what made ESPN great.
7:51 is the one I remember the most when I think of these commercials lol
I really hope Payton and Eli are like that in person
I'm not even a big sports guy, but that "I've got a coach on my roster" cracked me the f up
That manning one is so great. reminds me of me and my younger brother
ESPN please keep doing these!! They are hilarious!
The Peyton and Eli one always gets me.
Edwin Moses 122 consecutive wins. 1977-87. Track and field.
RIP John Clayton, a true legend
Genius... Only commercials I looked forward to...
"Your parents signed a permission slip--get up, man!"
Thanks for the smiles, Stu.
Thank you Stuart Scott
What the muppet said was: "Ish shnooshie ish ferty good, ish shermie shermie good, ish from te frush nuts, in da frushnic frunie food"
Stuart was ALWAYS, cooler than the other side of the pillow!! Miss you buddy!! RIP.

"Following Tiger" was an all-time classic....

I love Peyton and Eli, and then the look Archie gives both. I'm old enough to be able to say I got to watch Archie Manning live. I felt so bad for that guy - those Saints teams were terrible, but he was great. No free agency back then. You were stuck on a team for life if you were any good at all.
