Nah fr, I've seen her practice clips. But this is first time seeing her recently in game and she's no joke
what did we expect, The Aces are one of the top teams in the W & are also the reigning two time champs for a reason. A'ja Wilson, Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, Chelsea Gray & Kiah Stokes were on fire tonight. at least The Sky were very competitive against them instead of it being a blowout or a beatdown.

Angel did Angel things and bossed out, but she did not guard my girl the whole game. They tried multiple people and they all started to get in foul trouble and were rotated out. Angel included. Both Aja and Angel are the queens of drawing contact

As Cardozo develops a reliable 2 to 7 ft J, things will get precipitously difficult to guard her. Dribble Spin fade a way. Quick dribble stepback J will open up, up fakes. At 6'7" a quick release forces defenders to jump out of position. Opening for dribble penetration and dribble side step J.
She does not have ups, but, her natural stature is more of an advantage because with tactics, she can force an athletic defender off the ground as her feet are still firmly planted as she dribble steps into a less contested shot or attacks the rim with the defender in the air.
Another good game by Angel. Nobody but nobody can guard Aja. Earlier this year Nepheesa Collier had Wilson and guess what? Collier got in foul trouble and finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Collier is a MVP candidate and on the Olympic team. Aja is just on another level. Angel's a pretty good rookie who hasn't seen her best days by a long shot, but give Wilson her due. She's a beast.

So I watched the whole game no excuses Aja wouldâve cooked regardless but the Refs called a foul on Angel 2 minutes into the game so she couldnât play as aggressive as she usually do. Aja is the best player in the league itâs not close.

Good game. Aja commands respect out there particular from Kamila both are South Carolina Alums.
The womenâs game would improve DRASTICALLY if post scorers would develop a proper post hook. Theyâre doing a lot of 2 handed standing lays leaning into the defender, causing shots to get blocked. A hook away from the defender would help them get even more buckets and draw fouls.
