I've only been properly been listening to them for about a week, but I've gone through their whole main discog now and safe to say this is my favourite song, strange to see most Rammstein fans think it's decent but don't really rate it close to their best. It's probably because it deviates a bit from their original industrial sound.

The only "safety messure" I can see is his right foot being locked in place. I guess it's to help him keeping his balance (and maybe not fall on his head), but should he fall I would think he'd had to say goodbye to that leg, cause that's going to be messed up.

This is basically about the darkest form of sadomasochism. Inflicting pain on someone to feel good. At least that's how you get the first impression. The plot twist, however, is at the end, because everything he has said, he sings into a mirror. That means, he inflicts this pain on himself.
Not only the pyro - Till goes up high on that platform, no safety straps/rails. No fear, hard as nails!

Im from Norway and i had tickets to one of their shows here last summer, but it got canceled cause of Covid. So when it opens back up they will come back and its said that they will hold the biggest concert there has been in this country, with up to 70k ppl!! Thats a lot in this small country, we are barely 5 ,3 mill people here and i can't freakin' wait! :D

Could you consider listening to "Lord of the Lost" (Under the Sun) and Ull Positiv ("Wo Rauch ist, ist auch Feuer" = Power ballad with incredible voice of the female singer // "Freiheit" = Metal and Melodies // "Friss Dich auf" = Creepy heaviness).
Seen them twice live best band on earth you have to be there to get the full effect 🔥

I don't remember if you have already watched this song, but I strongly recommend "Du Riechst So Gut" especially from their show live aus Berlin from 1998. Also "Seeman" from the same show, it's a ballad and Flake is crowdsurfing in this one. This particular show is kin of special and nostalgic to me, because an older friend gifted me a VHS cassette with this show and I used to watch it everyday after school. (I was 12 at that time) and this way I fell in love with the band lol

It is about sm, but the key line is when he says that the one he hurts is the one he sees in the mirror, so it is really about self-harm

I've always said never make fun of someone with an accent or if there's a few mixed up words here & there cos it means they know at least 2 languages which is more than me. And it's hard. English is ridiculous. I'm enjoying the German even if the sentence structure is all arse about. I mean come on why does twenty-five have to be fünfundzwanzig? That's one long word! But with lockdowns & everything I figured why not stop the brain rot. And I'll be able to understand the German bands I listen to like Rammstein & Einstürzende Neubaten with new understanding 😊

@@ThomFoolery1 they are so fantastic musicians, the Genre is as far i know, Progressive Metal. Pink Floyd in Heavy Sounds, the fattest riffs i ever heard and really complex songs. There is also a Video of the drummer doing Pneuma at a concert. Unbelievable what he is doing and which parts of the song are played by him. Take a look, you will be impressed ;)
