It’s definitely harder for drier skin folks if you’re not using a toner or you’re using the serum literally right after washing, the serum dries up so quickly so I have to put extra.
@@Pheediep For Dr. Drey. I have a much wider face than hers, so I need 3 drops just for that plus one more for neck if I want to use serum there. It's quite possible that this person also needs that amount for this reason.
I love that you're making shorts. I have been subscribed for a long time but never have the time to sit and watch ur videos. Now I can see your opinion and point of view on things in just a few seconds, I love it.
I absolutely agree! I’m shocked at the waste I see TikTokers & CZcamsrs use! With only needing a small amount, it lasts a long time stretching your money spent. It’s easier to justify the money when you realize what it costs per day! $30-$60 is pricey for many of us but when that lasts 3 months ish, it’s worth it!
I agree with you.... These annoying videos where they smear so much product all over is just for attention and to try and get views. Also dont understand why people apply bb cream or skin tints with sponges or brushes
you're just wasting product, and only so much can seep into your skin. Try putting some on your hands too, that way you can use it up, more quickly, if it's getting ready to expire.
Not enough if you have a bigger rounder face and therefore, more surface to spread the product. With my face only 3 drops for my entire face and neck would be way too much of a stretch 😂 I use 5-6 drops totally and I try to bring down to my chest too😊
Could you go over when to use serums, like before or after moisurizers, in the morning or at night, etc. Thank you for sharing so much great info with us!. 😊
Paula's Choice has great, easy to understand information on their website about how to apply products. And each product has a visual as to what order to apply it.
Thank you. I was experimenting syrums. I was using way to much. Can you do a short on how many syrums can be used. Which ones work and one on descriptive on what various syrums do
I don’t use serums as I feel like my skin doesn’t get all that much better on them. I just use cleansing, moisturizer, sunscreen, and sometimes my rosacea treatment (azelaic acid) or generic adapalene for acne.
i agree but imo it also depends on how hard the water is in the area where you live... i see such a massive difference in my skin in general depending on water hardness, and i need to use a LOT more product (both serum and moisturizer) when i'm staying somewhere where the water is hard. in soft water areas i'm always in disbelief at how little product i need 😭🙄
Obviously, pure maths, 4-5 drops then😅. Same applies to sunscreen or anything related with surface area. The message is: serum is about drops, not rivers.
Bet! I've been using 4 or 5 drops to cover my face and neck and have been wanting to use less cos I'm going through serum TOO quickly. Will be trying this👍🏽
I agree with the three-drop method. Depending on the consistency, maybe a fourth drop for the neck and chest, but three is usually fine. It probably also depends on the size of your face.
Hi mam, can we use serums on eyelids.... actually no one explain about that... I don't know... moisturizer, sunscreen....how to apply around eye areas....
So true ...ive been using the vanicream vit C and 3 drops is sufficient...btw...❤❤❤❤❤ the results of vit C...thanks for sharing your knowledge with us 😊
@@jenniferd264 a dermatologist recommended the Naturium vit C ...used it then saw the vanicream vit C at target...I prefer the vanicream for its texture, creamy, and has ceremides and no fragrance ...as it's formulated for sensitive skin...and I'm older with very fair skin...hope this helps 🤗
I use Quality yet inexpensive skincare (all Korean brands, except for toner from The Ordinary, Hada Labo Premium Lotion from Japan, and adapalene from who the hell knows). This allows my to glide the product on with the fingertips of both hands and give myself a lovely, light facial massage on areas that need more care. Seems to help absorption and plump out wrinkles.
Can you combine serums so I’m using the COSRX : BHA, blackhead, power liquid, two and one poreless power liquid, advance snail 96 mucin power essence , and so many other things I put on my face before putting on tent foundation. I find that I’m wasting time waiting for things to dry so that I can put on some thing else I’ve never seen a video of someone suggesting that you can combine certain products so that you spend the last time on your face
I do one drop on the forehead, one on each cheek, and then I usually end up with enough on my hands for my neck too 😊 I'm poor and serums are expensive, gotta make those babies last 😅😅
what is the reason for putting it on the back of your hand? i’m always seeing people online do this and i don’t get it like why not just put it on your fingers and apply
Depends on your skin type and experience. If it's during the morning then your sunscreen can act as a moisturizer. Moisturizers are helpful because they have ingredients that prevent the moisture you added to your skin with serums from evaporating and being useless.
If it is a pump, 1-3 pumps of serum based on how dry my skin is. If it is a glass dropper, 1 full dropper. Because my skin is just that dry. If it is using a squeeze bottle, a pea size for thick serum and 3-6 drops for water like consistency.
For most people, this sounds reasonable. For those of us with icthyosis vulgaris, more is definitely better, but we are the exception, not the rule. Sometimes, it feels like there isn't enough product in the world, to moisturize my skin, like trying to flood the Antarctic Desert with a teaspoon of water.
I need an advise, I was cleaning my face n did this dermarolling at home of course dessinfect every time but these small bug coming out of my skin, pls tell me wats that about? Out of my Pores I can't sleep now 😢
My serum is wayyyyy too liquidy like water, it wound run off the face if i dont rub it in immediately. I can't follow this method bcs it would run down my hand
I think it depends on the slippage. If it has a lot of silicone is will spread easily . If not it will sink in immediately. You cant really claim this as a general statement .
It says 2-3 drops by all serums I ever owned and read descriptions off (like 30-40 serums). So like.. Common sense? I do not use it for my lower neck and collarbone area tho unless it's a really runny serum
use a latex glove, that takes every product further! if that was 3 drops- they're huge. also the palm of the hand is better to dispense serums etc' as professionally, it is known the centre of palms do not absorb Anything. Ty
I just saw a comment yesterday from someone who complained that her serums absorb into her palm before she can apply them to her face. I use fingertips and quickly apply.
What we have learned is that there a lack of products that are allergy free. Almost all skin products and makeups are heavy in soy bean derivatives. Makes you think they are charing too much money for most of the products.

Same, three drops are enough, two if you are not treating the neck in the case of retinoids. Three is the number for the majority of serums. Agreeeee

Sunken cost fallacy fr. If it’s not doing anything for your skin, or even harming it, just don’t use them anymore.

depend on the thickness of a serum. I use only 2 to 3 drops per pump. especially on wet skin. tho. I don't use it on my neck. only moisturizer😅

Thank you. I've been looking for this information forever.
One question we have to apply serum on damp skin or dry ?
I use 4, 1 for the forehead, 1 for the neck, and the other 2 for the sides
I have been doing 4, 1 on each side, 1 on the forehead, and 1 for the neck and under my chin.
I don’t use serums as I feel like my skin doesn’t get all that much better on them. I just use cleansing, moisturizer, sunscreen, and sometimes my rosacea treatment (azelaic acid) or generic adapalene for acne.
Just one drop of my very emollient Paula's Choice serum on my face is sufficient. Then one for my neck.
Very money saving!
Dr. Dray is there anything that will make cellulite little less noticeable?
In your older videos you have said serums are not needed! Have you changed your mind? Should i start using them?

Dr. Dray, kindly suggest something for tanned Indian skin while breastfeeding.
