Interesting that there's stuff I want to buy from Japan, because it doesn't exist in North America...like those tools, and hardware bits you used in your previous places, to make that wall. I would also like a nice table I think it is called chabudai...? one with a heater or one with folding legs so I can get it out of the way when not in use. Not sure which I'd prefer more. I don't really like having big cumbersome furniture. I slept on a roll out futon, but now we have hammocks.

I believe that is a cheese tray for serving horderves (cheese, fruit & crackers sort of thing). Hey I just checked crate and barrel - www.crateandbarrel.com/search?query=cheese+tray. Similar items. Honestly, I like what you did with it better. It is exactly what I would use the tray for! And those salt and pepper shakers are the bomb! I gotta have those. :) XOX
