I found your video from my youtube homepage. Thank you for sharing your story. I watched your video while studying for medical competency test in Indonesia (we called it UKMPPD, and will be held in 4 days). I kinda burned out right now, but your video really inspired and motivated me. And I could relate the feeling about being first gen doctor.
US residency seems like an impossible dream for me, because I haven't been to US, my English isn't really good, I don't have any publication and USCE yet, also only a few Indonesian doctor continuing medical residency in US as far as I know. Even so, I really want to try usmle and apply for the match. Thankyou for your motivation and thankyou for the qoute !! That's really motivate me, because I started to doubt myself.

Government really spend 31 lakh rupees on a single mbbs students. And fees we pay is really subsidies. There is shortage of doctors in india. It's really brain drain as well as resource drain of India. Our country really needs doctors please stay here don't waste tax payers money.

In Very few medical colleges goverment pays fees. In majority of med colleges students have to pay from their own money. So taxpayer monry isnt going into making doctors. Its student's own money for tuition fees plus hostel fees too
