    Thank you, this helped a bunch. Im in southwest Georgia and planted lantanas last Spring, they are sticks now and i knew i should have pruned them but didn't, now its spring and they're trying to grow back, i can see the green coming through. Should i stll prune the sticks at this point??

      You can still prune and be ok. Just don't go past where you see buds forming. Leave 3-4 sets of buds on each limb.

      Mrs Huff is probably the best cold hardy cultivar. Yes, adding a layer of insulation would help hold ground temps and increase the probability of your lantana coming back.
      WDE!!

    What about us in warmer locations? My lantana are green year round and already blooming in March. Am I too late?

    • @Dr.Warren
      @Dr.Warren  Před 3 měsíci +1

      No, you can go ahead and prune. I would just focus on removing "leggy" branches to give it a more bush shape appearance.

    Live in Mo can I plant full sun?
    Hot weather?

      Yes!! But that far north it's going to be an annual. I'm guessing you are going to be somewhere around zone 6.

    I can't find out if the Hot Blooded Lantana is a medium size or what? Does it grow the same size as the Dallas Red lantana?

    • @Dr.Warren
      @Dr.Warren  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Dallas red will get a little taller and wider and might be a perennial in zone 8. Hot blooded is only perennial in zone 10-11

    I’m growing my first lantana, it has grown very unevenly. How can I even it out? Thanks

    • @Dr.Warren
      @Dr.Warren  Před 3 měsíci

      I would just trim back the longer branches back into the "body" if that makes sense.
