Nice paint job. Thats the one thing I hate doing that and removing supports. But i also hate them not painted so i paint on . Ive been 3d resin printing for 4 years its like a crack addiction i can't stop. Keep up the good work..........

Great video, amazing model. Amazing work. I've been using a similar flesh tone trick instead I use a very thinned down version of the Blood for the Blood God technical paint as a wash. (Red pigments with a yellow base), mixed with a flesh tone it almost creates a translucent effect that tricks the eye into realism. This was one of my happy accidents.
Thank you!! And yes!! Great job figuring that out. Blood for the blood God is actually one of my favorite paints!! I don't use citadel paints very often but when I want realistic looking blood, I reach for that one!! It's very awesome!! 😊
@@HomemadeJam3D it was literally a few days ago I figured it out, I'd been painting cut knuckles and hadn't washed the brush thoroughly, applied some highlight skin and magically got this amazing skin tone effect.
On a separate note, one of your previous videos you where looking for the perfect base skin tone. Have you tried Revelle flesh tone, it's the weirdest of paints. Over a Red highlight and brown shadow, zenithal highlight type application, it does amazing things in relation to taking on the shade of the colour beneath it. Worth a punt. As a little bit cheaper than Vallejo and Citadel. Way better too. Lol.
@@MadAl37 I don't think I was actually looking for the perfect skin tone. I think I just made a comment about there not being the perfect skin tone in a bottle. 😊 Every skin tone I do is a custom mix. There's no substitute for doing it the right way and to do that, takes many layers of different shades to get a realistic look. I'm all about the hyper realistic painting. I'd rather my models look like more human-like and less like a statue or model. Does that make sense? 😊
@@HomemadeJam3D of course. I'm the same. I want realistic but I've only been painting a year or so. Still very much in my infancy. It's a rehab thing. Following a brain tumour. I don't always explain myself very well. I use the Revelle skin tone and alter that sometimes adding brown and red, well now Blood for the Blood god, I've been trying to mimic A guy I saw painting who only uses one skin tone and alters that. Name escapes me, memory loss!!! He painted Captain Kirk I think. May have heard you mention his name in a previous video.

Lol, I haven't even had to deal with a brain tumor and sometimes I have trouble trying to explain what I'm trying to say 🤣 The guy you were thinking about is Darren Carnall and yes, his models are amazing!! I'd love it if my models came out as good as his. 😊
Hi! Great work she came out really well. I too have this file and have successfully printed out all the parts except for the head which keeps failing. I have used the pre-supported file and also done a couple with automatic supports and manually added in Chitubox and Lychee.
I wondered if you had any hints you can give me as to orientation etc to help me out please?

Hi Mark!! Actually, that presupported file is mine. It is a VERY touchy print and you've got to have your exposure times dialed in to a T. If you can tell me where it's failing or if you want to send me a Facebook or Instagram message, we can chat about to hot get it to print. Thank you for your kind words. She is definitely my most favorite model I've ever painted. 😊

Does the air brand of paint usually used well on a brush?
It does. It's basically just a thinned down version of the other paints. I bought a set of the Vallejo Model Air paints but I probably won't buy any more of them. Basically because I feel like a thinned down version of the regular paints doesn't give me as much paint as the regular bottles. They're not any larger. What makes the model air paints a little easier to use for brush painting is the fact that they're already thinned and if you want to thin them more for a wash or something, you can use less thinner/water/flow improver. 😊
I'm a straight guy but I couldn't help but notice... are your nails painted in color shift paint? I saw your Vallejo shifter paints in the background and saw your nails.
Hahaha yes! In the intro I had custom Moon Knight nails but in the painting part, I had chrome holographic nails. Other than painting 3d prints, I'm kind of known for my nails lol. It's amazing what my nail tech can do. Thank you for watching my videos and thank you for noticing my nails! 😊
