Here I am! I'm the one that will show you tutorials for custom (mostly) handpainted 3D printed model figures. I usually work with 1:6 scale models but from time to time, I may paint something different. I also do diorama creation and resin pouring videos here! I am not a professional and make no claim to be an expert or pro in any of my hobbies. I just like to make stuff and share that with my viewers. If you want to learn how to paint your 3D printed models with that realistic look, then you have found the right channel. You'll also see cool reviews of the newest printers and resins and filaments. It's great to have you here!! I appreciate each and every one of my subscribers!

Ficou show! Parabéns!!!
Love it!
wow fantastic work!
We have that sofa in our living room too. It's really comfy
Looks like a great place! I've resigned myself to the fact that you're staying over there forever. I guess the cats and I will make due. 😢😅
Wow, great video babe! ❤
😮😀👍
Very informative and hearing the mind analogy of your painting skills allows us in the community to appreciate even more the color choices. You got another Sub thank you for sharing.
Looks awesome! What's BTS?
I thought that was a drone video of a forest at first 😂. Great video babe ❤
Lucia morandini is amazing. You don't need to do those washes, watch her videos and be amazed. She works with mostly 1/6 scale figures.
We have two completely different styles of painting. I know Lucia, we follow each other. I focus more on realism so my techniques are going to be different. My suggestion would be to follow the painter that you would most like to learn from, but with that said, you can learn new techniques by watching multiple painters. ☺️ Thank you for watching!
Awesome!
Thank you! 😊
Amazing !
Awesome. Looks Great.
Thank you!
Will you be doing a painting vid again?
hey there!! Yes, I will :) I'm so sorry that you have to even ask that question. Life just got in the way and then motivation was a issue for a while. Not motivation to paint, but motivation to record and edit. That's the worst part of filming. Editing it all lol. I'm going to try some different things to make editing easier and quicker and then hopefully, get back into a nice rhythm. I appreciate you watching!!! Thank you so much!
@@HomemadeJam3D Thanks for making vids of your awesome paint jobs. Looking forward to the next one (no rush, take your time).
@@jmaarts74 Thank you for being so understanding :)
That's so awesome
I know right?!?!? I'm just mesmerized by the building of the layers and that you can see the LCD firing to form them. Thank you for watching!!
That is simply stunning.🎉
Thank you so much!
Nice work, do u do commissions?
OMG, I'm so sorry!! I didn't see your comment. Yes, I do commissions. You can email me at homemadejam3d@gmail.com if there's something you'd like to talk about me printing or painting for you.
you are amazing
Well, thank you!! :)
Thaks awesome video. have you brought your model back into chichi box or lychee and asked it to find islands to see how accurate your method it. just curious. I will definitely give this a try. So your work flow is step 1. bring into chichi box and hollow and put in drain holes step 2 bring into purse and do what you showed in the video step 3 back to your chichi box and slice and good to go. im telling you im going to try this and it will save hours thanks
short and sweet and super helpful!
Glad it was helpful!
Nice video. Is this from the same people that do the official model kit? I'm only asking, as it's identical (except in size) to the one from X-Plus Models.
I believe X-Plus Models just prints and sells the models. This was a test print for the actual model designer that I did. When Brian finished the sculpt, he sent me the files to test print for him, so this was the very first physical print ever done. If you'd like a model printed for you as a kit, I would be happy to do that for you.
@@HomemadeJam3D the X-Plus version is a traditional injection kit, it's just smaller and the pose appears to be reversed. Thanks for the offer, but I prefer to paint it myself.
I just watch your video you a wonderful 👍😊 and great 😃👍 painter injoy watching your video she look ,s real you have a wonderful 👍😊❤ and great 😃👍❤day be safe
Thank you so much!!! I appreciate you watching!! :)
So cool
Thank you!!
Amazing result! Love your work!
Thank you! And thank you for watching!!
i see that you dont use inner fill for your prints, your models are completely hollow inside?
I don't use infill, but the models have supports inside. I would prefer to have only supports so I can remove them before I cure the model. Infill can't be removed.
i cen't beleive that prints well, it's so little supports! Specially on the second model, the hair strands have just one support! Crazy! I usualy put a ton of supports out of fear of failed prints.
That's how I used to be! You just have to trust your printer and trust your slicer and give it a try. Once you see how few supports it really takes, you'll be so shocked! Thank you for watching!!
You really nailed it on this one - hands-down the best out there.
Thank you so much!!! I really loved painting her!
This is pretty cool. My search was what printer has holes in the build plate. I had so many questions, and you answered them all. Thank you so very much.😊
Glad I could help! Thank you for watching!!
How did you get the flesh painted...what did you use?
I use my own flesh tone paint that I mix. Every model is different.
time-approved timelapse 🔥
Glad you like it! Thanks for watching!
So happy I stumbled on this channel. Mine arrives next week! And a woman who's into 3d printing? Why would I watch another tech dude? Kidding. Nice work! Subscribed. Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you so much for your kind words!!! I'm so sorry that I've been absent! New year and new motivation so hopefully I'll start getting out some videos pretty soon.
Nice paint job. Thats the one thing I hate doing that and removing supports. But i also hate them not painted so i paint on . Ive been 3d resin printing for 4 years its like a crack addiction i can't stop. Keep up the good work..........
hahaha it's totally addicting!!! Thank you for watching!!
You saved my day. I'm new around resin but with a lot of experience on fdm. Thank you so much for this video. New subscriber.
Absolutely!!! Glad I could help!!
So cool, such an awesome model and you've done an amazing job painting it. Definitely need painting tips from you lol
Thank you!! Any questions, just ask!
How do you get the resin settings on this slicer? I just installed 2.6.1 can't see nothing to change it to resin sla options?
Click the Add Printer and select Prusa SLA. Then to the right of it on the right side menu, click the little settings gear and you can set up your own printer details. Thank you for watching!
Do you have any thoughts or updates on the printer after a few months of use? Thanks in advance.
Thoughts? Absolutely! This is an absolutely phenomenal printer and is the only printer I use now. I have 2 of them and they are just amazing! The quality is superior and the size is great for printing large things. I've got several videos showing prints on my TikTok channel. It's also Homemadejam3d. Thank you for watching!!
Wow amazing print!
Thank you!! It is super beautiful 😊
Did this and resin leaked :( what did I do wrong
I'm sorry for the late reply, but my guess would be that the double sided tape lost it's stickiness. Most people have that as the issue for leaks after a fep change.
Darn nice work! I recently got a statue of Vampi as a gift, and she was painted already, but had all this blood on her, so I actually scraped it off with a razor knife, and it came off well without damaging the painted skin. I did touch it up here and there, and gave it a good coat spray after to shore up the skin. I note that your fine skintones are very much like the statue, and I commend you for that! I like your's better in fact. Great paint work and great job on the 3D print too! She looks great!
Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you were able to get your Vampirella just the way you wanted it. :) Sometimes you just have to take matters into your own hands. I hope to see you in the comments in future videos! Thanks so much for watching!
@@HomemadeJam3D I'm keeping an eye out for new stuff! Thanks and keep on doing what you do!
@@LesWalker2023 I've been very busy with commissions and family commitments for the past few months so hopefully soon, I can get something uploaded.
You printed the big one! Very nice!
Of course!! I like to print all things BIG! 😊 Thank you for watching!!
I lost power to my house in the middle of a print, does the gk 2 have a recovery function at all?
No, not from a power loss. I had this happen to me just a week ago. I lost a 13 hour print lol. I don't know that there is a resin printer available with a resume function after a power loss. They're not really like an FDM printer. Thank you for watching!! 🤗
i hit subscribe because you did a great job an really helped me out thnx for vid im printing her now
Awesome! Thank you for watching and subscribing!! Come back and let me know how it went.
@HomemadeJam3D I completed her step by step using your video the whole time only thing I did different was decals for the eyes an I made her really big thank you again looking forward to more of your guides 😀
@@red-tailangelspitfire3075 that's awesome!!! I'll bet she looks amazing!
Hello, Can I ask are all the figures primed Grey before you start your Flash tone painting. Thanks
Yes, I prime all my models. Not always gray though. Depending on what color in painting, primer can completely change the tone of the color. Gray is my go to for skin tones though. Sometimes I use spray can primer and sometimes I use acrylic primer with my airbrush. If you use laquer primer, you'll need to let it gas out for at least 24 hours or you'll have a really bad time with your paint finish
@@HomemadeJam3D thanks for the reply, I'm getting ready to paint a 1/4 scale 3d printed lara croft.
@@mrmarino sure thing!! Oh, I'll bet that figure will look amazing! Is it the Megha (VX Studios) model?
I realise this is an old video but it does make a nice change for someone to show the exact process for the basic maintenance of one of these machines . So many of the other 3d printer channels seem to ignore this aspect, which the people new to 3d printing need even if it's just to reassure them that they are doing it correctly. Thank You
Thank you!! And I completely agree that this is the type of stuff that gets overlooked, or skimmed over. That's why I decided to make some of them. If there is anything else that you'd like to see covered, just let me know and I'll be happy to create a video for you.
Very curious to see what that will be...
It's a steampunk butterfly!! 😊
So, you sealed the actual skin tone than built up layers with the washes?
Yes, I actually will use the matte varnish several times to seal layers. I seal after the base coat, I seal after the washes, and I seal again after the chalk pastels. I do a final good sealing once I'm completely finished with everything and then a gloss or satin varnish on the lips and gloss on the eyes.
@@jamierobinson2338 I applied this on a 1/4 scale Arkham Origins Batman. It is one of many I am doing. A series to display I guess. It creates very realist "depth". In fact it is kind of weird. I tried applying a wash and it jacked it up. I just built up layers over it. It worked well. I used an Army Painter flesh range.
@@jamierobinson2338 the varnish after each sequence of colors makes a huge difference. I get it. It creates a raised clear layer you have to "see through" to perceive the colors underneath. The washes are so thin that it does not know what colors it is perceiving. That is how it creates the depth. Works very well. I am new to printing and painting statues, but I have done some pretty cool stuff. I love doing quarter scale. Minis too. Lol!
So sorry Kurtis! That was me replying from my other CZcams account lol. Sometimes I forget to look at which account I'm in and I end up confusing the person I'm answering. :)
Hi, I've watched your videos, and your Vampirella model is absolutely fantastic! I am just enquiring, would you be prepared to print this Vampirella figure and base to sell? If so, how much would you charge for all the pieces unpainted? I live in the UK.
Hello! I would absolutely print the model for you! Send me a message to homemadejam3d at Gmail. It's much easier to chat that way. 😊👍
Also, thank you for watching!!! 🤗
I just found your channel, fantastic to see your paint work. I have subscribed. Cheers
Thank you so much!! I look forward to seeing you in the comments in the future 😊
Hi! Great work she came out really well. I too have this file and have successfully printed out all the parts except for the head which keeps failing. I have used the pre-supported file and also done a couple with automatic supports and manually added in Chitubox and Lychee. I wondered if you had any hints you can give me as to orientation etc to help me out please? Kind regards, Mark
Hi Mark!! Actually, that presupported file is mine. It is a VERY touchy print and you've got to have your exposure times dialed in to a T. If you can tell me where it's failing or if you want to send me a Facebook or Instagram message, we can chat about to hot get it to print. Thank you for your kind words. She is definitely my most favorite model I've ever painted. 😊
If you send me a message, you'll need to let me know what it's about lol. I get so many junk messages all the time and messages from people asking questions. Just shoot me a reminder of what we're talking about. 😁👍
