    A good piece of advice! But you have mixed liquid funds, debt funds balanced funds in small discourse. As such in such a short time you can't ensure justice. Novice will get confused. Anyways, you have done well keeping in view that you have covered such a vast subject in a short period!

    IMO mutual funds are vehicle to save money and build retirement corpus. It will not make you rich. The definitive way to be rich is to build your own successful business.

    • @sudip_curiousmind
      @sudip_curiousmind Před 10 měsíci +3

      Rich is a subjective term..one can be rich through MF if rich is defined as having double or triple the corpus required for one to retire. So if the retirement corpus is 5 crore and one accumulates 10 or 15 crores then one can be considered rich. It will require a lot of patience and perseverance but it's doable.

    Agreed. I will be happy if my total equity and debt portfolio generates 2% more return than inflation rate and super happy if it can beat nifty 50 by 1% in the long run.

    • @religionofpeace782
      @religionofpeace782 Před 10 měsíci

      Mid and small caps will beat nifty by 5-7% in the long run(10-15-20 yrs).

      @@religionofpeace782 those options are for smart, active, well informed and highly aggressive investors. Unfortunately I don't have any of these traits and have to invest more to achieve my goals.

    Mutual funds gives inflation adjusted returns... not for making rich

      @religionofpeace782 Před 10 měsíci +1

      Only mid and small cap funds will make you wealthy in the long run. Index and largecaps will simply be able to just beat inflation.

    Mutual funds is the best option to have an exposure to equity market, without losing your sleep..
    An average mutual fund investor would feel satisfied to earn 11-12 % CAGR over a decade .
    If you are ready to remain invested longer, it's even better..
    MF s are best suited for people in employment or in a full time business or profession as these people seldom find any time to learn about the market themselves and invest..

    • @religionofpeace782
      @religionofpeace782 Před 10 měsíci +2

      And it's also not just about learning...it's about competency in the market, the ability to predict and analyse, the skills are also as important to be a successful stock investor. And unfortunately most can't be. Hence mutual funds are the way to go.

      In last 5 yrs, 80% of mid cap actively managed funds have given return lesser than Nifty mid cap 150 ITR. Also expense ratio is lesser in index fund . So my choice is always Index fund for mid cap investment

    Are you keeping your website in such an obsolete state on purpose? It's a shame that such good content has to be delivered like that! It's time you shell out a little to to make the website look like a 2023 website instead of a 2003 one. I've subscribed to many value research magazines, which I don't even read, as a gesture for all the value I get from the content on Value Research but it's getting harder and harder to tolerate such an obsolete user interface and I'll be compelled to look for alternatives if you don't act fast. Also, I've never really understood the point in the woman giving a brief introduction at the beginning. No offence to her.
