      @pupcakes209 Před 9 lety +4

      Hey! If you aren't already, I suggest you try to learn this on a trampoline first. That's how I learned mine but I'm still working on ground that's why I was watching this. I used to almost do it but my tip is that once your hands are on the trampoline bend your knees so they are closer to your hands. That's how I got mine! :)

  • @RPGpunk007
    @RPGpunk007 Před 12 lety

    That makes sense. Others have told me to try out the same. Its just that if I kick with force and if I don't land the handspring, then it gets really tough to get into bridge and I fall onto my back with more force than before!

  • @isaiahmarley5899
    @isaiahmarley5899 Před 9 lety +26

    I was doing this when I was 9 and I was weak so upper body strength doesn't really do anything. Run get your feet in a comfortable position, then right when feet are leaving the ground as you jump you want to put your hands to the ground,then when your at a hand stand point you want to push of the ground with all the momentum you have, because you have to be in the air for the landing to be right unless your some kind of gymnist, so your going to land in like a squat position and extend your legs to make you stand up as you land.

  • @jade13x

    Im a dancer, and i mastered backwalkovers about 2 and a half years ago, and its now time for me to do a backhandspring. I know how to do it, and i know i can do it, everybody tells me that i can, its just the confidence, i dont have the confidence to jump back. But its the opposite with front handspring. I recently tried one because my friend could do it, and i did it first attempt! I dont have a fear with going forwards its just the back thing. But im working on my backhandspring at dance since my teacher has gotten a roller to practice on, in my opinion, i think i still have a long way to go before i get the confidence, but my dance teacher, friends and parents always say that i shouldnt be scared, and that when i do attempt it it will be fine and i wont hurt myself. If i ever get my backhandspring, i will let you guys know! 💪🏼

      If you land on a squat position it’s ok it’s because your not strong enough they like me and my cousin we alway end up in a squad position we are like 12 and 11, 4”7 and I’m 5”0

  • @gudgyboi
    @gudgyboi Před 11 lety +1

    When I first learnt them I'd land in a squat possition, but to advance to doing that all I tried was re-ajusting my body. To land them as they are in the video (standing) I just kept my arms straight, if they're bent/on an angle you're gonna land squatting!! Then when your arms are straight, think as if you're swining your legs over your head (momentum) Then arche your back, not too much at if you were going into a walk over, just enough! Finally when you feel to land, land heels first!

  • @Dinokable
    @Dinokable Před 12 lety +1

    alright :)
    i got your problem..
    before attempting the front handspring, stretch your shoulders and your biceps! makes you more flexible to reach the ground, rather than a bridge.
    when you attempt the move, be sure to kick with your dominant leg backwards with full force and the other leg to just jump up.. the harder the kick, the more you will lean and fly off easily. keep your hands stationary to the ground, and you'll land perfectly. just kick with power :D

  • @Dinokable
    @Dinokable Před 12 lety

    POINT!
    but to be realistic, your going to have to experience that little pain.the best tip i could suggest you right now is keep trying the move with a balanced kick, dont kick too hard, nor too soft, keep trying it until you find the best amount to push in your leg to kick off. and also, ive seen many bboys doing this wrong. always keep your head stationary and look just straight off or you'll end up twisting in a different motion.
    keep up the work and be confident :)
    goodluck, peace :D
