I would love to see Gordon’s reaction to unknowingly being served some of these meals in a restaurant. Get your bleeper ready!
Pretty sure somebody did that already with a well done steak from one of his restaurants. It did not go well.
To be fair, frozen meals are not designed to be restaurant-level quality, or even homemade quality. Frozen meals are made for people who don't have the time to cook and hopefully, it's just a once-in-a-while emergency meal.
lol comparing frozen (likely way more affordable) food to restaurant food is the dumbest thing
@@XekTOr89 Nobody expects restaurant quality but a few of those dishes were unfit for human consumption. From a guy like Gordon Ramsay, that’s a clear sellout.
Every episode of Kitchen Nightmares:
"Is this frozen? Was this heated in the microwave?🤬"
Oh the irony is just too much...😂
The irony of saying “selling out was always the goal,” while simultaneously accepting a scam sponsor is wild to me.
Dude, you and other content creators on CZcams need to ditch "Better Help". They sell people's information and do not employ licensed therapists. They are a scam.
They never will CZcamsrs will take any sponsorship and if there especially desperate if it’s a really controversial topic they’ll take any sponsor so the video won’t get taken down. I remember the better help boycott where no CZcamsr did it and now it’s crawled its way back into CZcams

I mean, he would know, accepting more BetterHelp sponsorships. That's pretty bad.
How do you think these guys make their bazillions? Selling out to the man!!
It's literally the subplot of Ratatouille lol
I vividly remember Gordon having a temper tantrum on Kitchen Nightmares when a restaurant served shepherds pie that was made with ground beef lmao
I came to say the same anytime a place was an Irish pub style restaurant and made shepherds pie with beef he shit all over them and his frozen does the same I know it's a marketing team doing it but still call it cottage pie instead lol.
I remember that episode because he got sick from it as well, because it was so greasy.it was also at an Irish pub too.
That’s because it’s meant to be made with lamb if made with beef it’s cottage pie
Same
@@Defia1yeah but they are saying his shepherds pie has beef
Better help DOES not employ real therapists. Stop doing anything for a check.
But I think they do
How Gordon finds time to cook all these frozen meals is beyond me.....
Wow yummy 😊👍🏼

A newspaper sting in the UK a while back discovered not only was frozen food being served in Ramsey restaurants but the coq au vin (I think it was) was actually boil in the bag from a catering company being sold at a 600x mark up...
I need to google this!
@@rachelr8897 It won't be hard to find it got a lot of coverage at the time.
Alternatively you can look for the article of Ramseys 10 biggest controversies and it is covered by that.
Americans are the most naive in the world.
From what I read “boil in a bag” was the 2009 wording for sous vide cooking method but they reamed him for it.
@@Lifeofward151 Can't really refute this as there seems to be no evidence for it either way in the articles that came out about it at the time.
Happy to have a look if you have a source other than the original reports from a few journalists.
Obviously sous vide and boil in the bag are different things so if it was true that would be deceptive.
It wouldn't really counter the fact that catering company food was being brought in and sold at that size a mark up. Or that they were using frozen produce when Ramsey goes off at so many other places for doing that but it would be worth noting.
I’d love to see a kitchen nightmares episode where they serve him like one of these dishes
I would love to see him get told off for selling out America. I bet this slop is not sold in Britain.
When I found out that Gordon Ramsay had Frozen Dinners! I had to ask the universe, Does Gordon Ramsay know he has Frozen Dinners!? With all the crap he has given people on kitchen nightmares and in every other publicized area’s, I just think he’s got nothing to do with these meals aside from getting a hefty check 💰💰💰💰
On Kitchen Nightmares, one of Gordon's go-to criticisms is that the "shepherd's pie" these dumb Americans are serving is really a cottage pie.
I mean, he was giving restaurants crap for having mold, dead pests, etc. And that frozen stuff probably shouldn’t be there if you’re paying for a meal right there. Thats way different from a frozen meal. So unless there’s some seriously criminal things happening in the factories, he’s not being a hypocrite.
@@BelBelle468yea when you eat at a restaurant you don’t expect the food to be frozen. But this is like 3 dollars not 25
What even is context? He was at a restaurant…
Yeah what better help Doesn’t tell you is that it costs $360 to talk to someone who may or may not be a licensed therapist. If I had that kind of money I wouldn’t need to talk to a therapist now would I?
Taking betterhelp ads in 2024 is bold.
I always find it dodgy that people would use one service of therapy over another because of a 10% discount... just seems wrong to me.
Selling out was always the goal.
@@zZiL341yRj736Beat me to it
I side eyed that part 😶
You mean money?
For slow roasted beef - most microwave stuff I’ve tried with a sauce, you cook for a minute or two, stir, then finish cooking. That way it is all in the sauce. Probably would help a lot.
Just like when *Chef Gusteau* came out with his frozen line
R.I.P. Chef Gusteau 😔
LOL!!!😂
Actually, chef skinner used his name, the name of the restaurant to create these items
Gordon Ramsey is becoming Auguste Gusteau with profanity
This is exactly the side story of Ratatouille, the star chef that lends his name to horrible, stale, hokey frozen meals. “We’re finding new ways to sell out over here!” -Gusteau
Sad, But True Hun
The "Wrinkles" are a brave yet warranted play. Always solid vids.
It took me until half-way through the video before I noticed The Exorcist levitating, rotating plant - and I just laughed. I have no idea why I found it so funny, but it tickled my funny bone...
Marcus can't hide his feeling while eating the meals. The winces or immediate winks define how well the meal is taken.
I had some shrooms the other day and I thought I was still tripping when I see a floating plant in the back.I literally got my face up to the screen
Marcus is flipping hysterical!!! More panel videos!! Thanks guys
Risotto is the one dish I remember complaining about on Hell's Kitchen.
someone should tag gordon for his own reactions on his own frozen meals.
I hope he adds his famous grilled cheese to his lineup.
THE famous grilled cheese! But it only works when heated in an open fireplace 😀
Sonny just tell us where you got the spinny levitating plant. please
Looks like MOOCCI Levitating Plant Pot Floating on amazon
I ordered the base on amazon and then just added a plant to it, they are cool!
The whole video I watched the floating thing... What was the video about?
2:56 lol funny how Tostitos has ruined Totino's name. Everyone calls em Tostino's 😂
Yup lol
The irony that Gordon Ramsay calls a shepherd's pie when he himself has made such a deal on several shows about how shepherd's pie needs lamb and cottage pie is beef
I was just about to make the same comment....
Americans have heard of shepherd’s pie. They’re less likely to have heard of cottage pie. Also lamb is expensive in America.
Nobody beats Marie Calendar's pastry for a frozen pot pie. Fight me. I save the pastry rim with a little bit of the gravy for my last bites every time.
Completely agree. I actually enjoy those pot pies a lot!
No argument here. Their frozen dessert pies are amazing, too.
Trader Joe's' was way better, except they haven't been stocked in a long time. Maybe discontinued.
@@NextExiter ive never had a Trader Joe's pot pies, i guess I'll have to find them and make an assessment!
@@markfoote6352 Did some more research and they don't appear to be available anymore, which is a huge bummer.
5:20 “that’s actually illegal” 😂 Marcus killed me with that one
Gordon... noo. It's giving Chef Gusteau's
I thought of Ratatouille as well! Remy is legit my culinary inspiration. "Cooking is for everybody" ❤️ I have a magnet of him on my fridge in the kitchen right next to my magnetic knife strip 😅
Maybe do a comparison of the ingredients between these and some other equivalent frozen dinner from a different brand and realize how drastically different they are. You may have a higher sodium/potassium content but the ingredients on these are surprisingly clean relative to some other brand options.
that's a great idea..ingredient list comparison.
I doubt Gordon Ramsay made these meals, because he hates microwaves, he despises them.
What you need to open a restaurant just serving his frozen food and invite kitchen nightmares to the restaurant and i always remember when he threw out chef mike or the microwave out
Let’s call it what it is the roast of Gordon Ramsay! And these meals are made for people that can’t afford to go to his restaurants. 😂
For someone whom didn’t like the pollock bites YOU ATE THEM ALL!!!!! 😂😂😂😂
Gordon should post a reaction to these
Him laughing at everyone while laying on a massive pile of money?
That Tinder analogy was chef’s kiss.
Some of these meals made Marcus mad, which makes me mad. After finishing the video, im now happy. What a roller coaster of emotion. Thanks yall for yet another great video!
I obviously have never had good risotto, because it is one of the few frozen meals that I enjoy instead of tolerate. I buy some every Walmart run.
I'm jealous. We do not have access to all of the apps and entrees. I want to try them!
The Irony is where gordon constantly trashes tv diners and doesnt classify them as food 😂😂😂
I agree with the Shepard pie. It’s surprisingly good for a frozen microwave meal.
Half way through I got hypnotized by the floating succulent
Great Video. Love the deep dive on all things frozen
Kinda ironic from a Chef that scolds every restaurant he's ever been to if they serve ANYTHING frozen 🤣🤣🤣
Someone needs to serve these to Gordon on one of his shows.
Gordon doesn't have a problem with frozen or premade food, he's known for his love of McDonald's. His problem is when private restaurants sell premade frozen food at a premium price and passing it off to customers as homemade.
@@NotAGoodUsername360 this just shows how stupid people are let them keep on going 😂
It’s almost like restaurants should have higher standards than a frozen dinner.
@@NotAGoodUsername360 No…Gordon does like IN-N-OUT though
I have no idea why I wasted part of my life watching this, because I have a 3% likelihood of grabbing one of these at a store. But this was really entertaining. You can tell you both are really good friends. Well done. You guys need to parlay this into a weekly gig.
Ahhh yes yes, one wrinkle, two wrinkle, no wrinkle, Bullwinkle.
When I saw the boxes, I did a double take over the strange look on Ramsey's face. Then I saw the microwave is the ONLY way he tells you it can be cooked. Chef Mike Ramsey. Never thought I'd see the day. He should be selling frozen food that ONLY cooks in a real oven, like Prometheus intended.
but there are no microwave instructions for these...
I have always wanted microwave meals rankings like this! Never even knew Gordon Ramsay had microwave meals but I like this format.
Babish has been doing similar videos lately they're also really fun
more taste tests pls, loving this!
Why does the packaging look so cheap? Wouldn’t really fly in the Uk stores
There's 2 recipes I was wondering if you could do vids on.
#1 is Bacon Jam
#2 is a French Silk Pie
better help sucks
Didnt know he had done this. Seems like a fair and honest review guys with good reasoning/explanation.
It would be funny if he had to save another restaurant from certain closure and it turns out that restaurant only serves Gordon Ramsay's frozen dinners.
I can't stop zoning out on the spinning plant ahhhhh
You guys are great! Freakin loved this! Kept me laughing 😂 Bring Marcus on, like this, more often, you two are great together!
Oh Gordon, what have you done? Shepard's Pie is made with Lamb Mince, and Cottage Pie is made with Beef Mince. ~passes over two slices of bread~
You guys crack me up! But thanks for taste testing these!!! Saves me the trouble of trying them, not that I even buy these but maybe once a year I'll grab a frozen dinner on a kick! Now I gotta get those chicken bites to try! LOL
Ramsey always said frozen dishes weren't good. Well looks like his over priced, frozen dishes aren't much better. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about them.
Hi guys, I kept hearing in my head "Yummy yummy yummy I got Ramsey's in my tummy"
The endgame of the crab cake is to make one totally Crabby?
I think following his mentor, Gordon has a big staff to work on recipes. He should probably fire most of them.
so no compartments? Long cooking dishes microwave better than fried.
Thanks for the view of the real Hell's Kitchen. Love your work. and the rapport you guys have. Jim Mexico retired and not eating any tv dinners.
Very funny and entertaining commentary, bravo
Gordon Ramsey once called me "The Cool Barman" while he was visiting a restaurant where I bartended. Just thought you guys should know...
Your humblebrag has neen noted.
@@chriscasperson5927 I don't have a lot going on, just let me have this
I approve! Gordon has seen a lot of barmen! You must be another level of cool!
A terrible risotto is an insult to us Italians.
I just love your content ❤ Keep it up. This episode is awesome!
Damn, that packaging is a throwback! #90s
I've been following you for a few years, the addition of Marcus has been amazing. Man is hilarious! Love your content, currently making your beef broth and it smells like I'm in for a treat! Big love
I will also say Marcus is the sort of guy you just know if you went for a beer with him you'd be in stitches of laughter the entire time
Me and my wife loved the lemon caper chicken, the sauce was so good, I love the slow roasted beef one too, the wellington bites are my fav in the oven and flipped halfway through
bake the chicken pot pie and its so much better, gets super crispy and flaky but still has the warm sauce on it to make it easier to eat
Sound of the "ding!" is probably twice as loud as it needs to be. Please pay more attention to your sound.
Nono, turn the ding to eleven!
If you cut that by 50 percent it would barely be audible
@@Dwightpower88 maybe to you because you’re deaf, but I guarantee you it would be more than audible.
Whoops sorry *I SAID MAYBE TO YOU BECAUSE YOU’RE DEAF BUT IT WOULD STILL BE MORE THAN AUDIBLE.*
He makes these but STILL can't make agrilled cheese.
I wish someone would serve him his frozen food on a episode of kitchen nightmares.
@11:47 “just shove the feeling down and push forward”
The picture on the box is the "before freezing" pic.
DROP BETTER HELP
The irony of a man who's spent 20 years moaning about Restaurants using frozen ingredients to him now releasing his own frozen dinner line after so many years putting emphasis on fresh ingredients.
There's literally an episode of Kitchen Nightmares where Gordon grills the restaurant because they used beef in a shepherd's pie. Oh the irony is thick with this one.
So Gordon goes to restaurants to check if they use frozen foods, berates them... then makes frozen dinners. Um sure, well played.
Frozen food is meant to be convenient and eaten at home. If I’m going out to a restaurant I don’t want frozen food.
Uh…I’m no Ramsay fan (he is a good cook) but his point is SERVING FROZEN FOOD IN A RESTAURANT SOMEONE IS GOING OUT TO EAT AT. Not a convenience food at home. How do you miss that? FFS.
There’s a difference between a restaurant, selling some thing you could just make it home and making things for people to make at home. And it’s always restaurants that claim everything is fresh when they’re definitely not.
THIS
There's something very different from a quick, convenient frozen meal at home and charging someone the price of a dinner out only to feed them frozen food.
First time I've ever seen your channel. Was enjoying and planned to sub but then the Better Help ad... Don't shill terrible, dangerous products. Not subbing.

It’s the usual scenario with frozen meals. The package photo never usually looks like the actual product. True with a lot of other products.
It’s all part of marketing to try to get a person to purchase something.
I would consider trying some of the meals in the video.
Thanks I was wondering how they were gonna taste thanks for sharing 😊
Please don't support better health they're claims are false and their therapist are not real ones they probably get em from eBay or something if you'd seen any experiences on Tiktok you'd know.
Gordon’s frozen food- he said he would never make frozen meals. Yet, here we are. I found his meals to be gross.
Put two of these frozen tv dinners on each side of Gordon Ramsay's face and ask him what he is
The answer better be "id!ot sandwich"
7:20 Sonny sounds like Joe Nagy from Mill Street Bistro imitating Gordon.
Shepherds pie is minced lamb. Hence the word 'shepherd'. That with beef is cottage pie!
Now that is a valuable review I will know what not to try and I will definitely search for the fried chicken bites and any of the number four or three wrinkled selections
lol, i like the thought that he made every box personally. Maybe he does like naruto shadow clones. And then the original yells at all of them.
The royalties he made putting his face on the ONE THING he said hed never endorse.....LOL....
Now lets go!!!!!!
I find it hilarious that in his shows he slams places for serving frozen food. So I laughed to hard when you said selling out was the goal all along.
He slams restaurants. This is not neing served in restaurants. Why can't you figure out the difference?
@@tan-jellopeople have no grasp of context or nuance anymore. I don’t know what happened. People just see everything in black and white. I’m guessing it something to do with media going more and more extreme to one side or the other politically. That’s how everyone thinks now.
I have had the Wellington Bites and the Shepherd Pie and it was good! I I’ve had better but it’s from a microwave for microwave food it was fine! My dad said it was fine as well and normal doesn’t like anything branded!
Hey Sonny, can you point me in the direction of where you got those jars you and Marcus were drinking from? Love the vid.
Grading these dishes by level of brow furrowing was genius. Love it!
The shepherd's pie is very good however I got to poke fun at Ramsey for putting his name on this as he knows Shepard's pie is made with lamb not beef. He should have called it cottage pie because that is what it is.
“IT’S FROZEN!” - Gordon Ramsey
Omg you two crack me up!!!!
I am usually hitting the grocery store on my way home from the gym, and occasionally will "treat myself" to a fancy frozen dinner to cook as soon as I get home. That Lemon Caper chicken looked so promising, but ugh, it was really sad. Like, I'd prefer the frozen Salisbury steak from Dollar Tree over eating it again.
As much shit as he gave restaurants for even owning a microwave on his shows, the irony of him pimping microwave dinners just dissolves any trace of integrity he might have once had lol. I'm with the other commenter: love to see him served this unknowingly one one of his shows - "dog vomit" comes to mind.
Gordon should be challenged to participate in a blind taste test for each of his frozen products alongside 2 others of the same meal or appetizer. LOL. I'd pay to see how that would play out. lmao.
Fish and chips were my favorite!! I cooked them longer so the fish would be crunchy! I dipped them in Malt vinegar! Yummy!
