If you're not seeing the expected facial expressions, it could simply mean that the singer is comfortably hitting the notes. Singers often show more pronounced facial expressions when they're belting out unusually high or low notes. Take Johann for example; he's wearing glasses, and I imagine Daryl Ong would exhibit similar expressions if he were in the same situation where the notes are comfortable for him. Keep in mind, they're still singing it live while reenacting, notice Johann's neck, visibly pumping air. He seems to be intentionally focusing on vocal control and pitch, rather than expressive facial movements. Additionally, it's worth noting that this isn't a live TV or stage performance where singers usually put performance level facial expression, and not all artists deliver the same level of expressions.
