    I love the clips from this brilliantly written, brilliantly acted series, but I'm not ashamed to say I could not watch this. Seeing Johnny's pain at the injustice and horror of this, I could watch no more.

      Count me in too. I just couldn't watch. As more often than I should, hail the great Swearegen,this was the time I looked at him in disappointment and disgust even in amongst thieves.

      @@jaroncreed You obviously didn't see the series. It was widely hailed by critics, and had a loyal fan base. It was so realistic that the first season cost 100 million to produce vs 60 million for GOT. Cost is what brought it down. Go read a review or two before you embarrass yourself further. Fucking nitwit.

      @@jaroncreed Rome is a grat show. Great characters, great dialogues. It was basically the prototype of the first seasons of Got. Dialogues, politics and drama.

      I felt bad for him in season 1 finale when Al explained him how road agents' job was done with Reverent's mercy killing as the example. He was sobbering hard

      @@battywattywoo I think I just really liked the dynamic between Hearst and the entire town. I liked Al being a little shook, and of course there's that fight between Dan and Captain Turner. The movie was just OK. Clearly they just wanted to give the show a sendoff, even if it wasn't the one it really deserved.

    After watching the movie, I think Jen was the kill that really hit Al in his conscience. I like to think Al maybe had conversations with Jen in the years between the end of S3 and the movie much like his dialogue with the Chief.

    Yeah it's the last episode of the series. Which I've only seen once or twice, not sure why. I've seen the first 30 about 10 times each including something very expensive (the one that was memorable for Wolcott getting into some serious wetwork, which is likely the reason for the confusion). Didn't remember this scene, for which I'm grateful. Gonna enjoy the last half dozen over again now that I've forgotten most of them.

    Didn’t they have guns arriving in camp to combat Hearst? Why did they need to kill someone to replace Trixie at all?

      Because HEarst already had guns in camp and even the guns they were bringing in probably wouldn't be enough to win a fight with Hearst

      @@Dekartz Even if he had enough the camp would end up in ruins as a result, i assume that would of been the Season 4 finale as Deadwood did literally burn down in 1879.

    What an absurd way this was to wrap up the show -- showing all the main characters go along with this weird murder, seems out of character for at least half the characters shown being in on it. This is worse than the Star Trek Voyager Tuvix debacle.

    Johnny was an interesting character but he was not anywhere near ruthless enough to ever be in charge of much.
