We all know the cars cartoon, but few people thought about the speed of the characters.
In this car comparison video you will see all characters by their top speed. For example: Lightning McQueen, Francesco Bernoulli, Jeff Gorvette, Tow Mater, Carla Veloso, Finn McMissile and many others from the cars movie.

Doing research, and Chick Hicks max speed going 177.74 MPH, and how fast Lightning was as a rookie, I concluded Lightning can go at a top of a staggering 211.97 MPH And as he got older, it decreased to 196.21 MPH

Also you have to thing about the modifications, in the Grand Prix different things are allowed which can make lightning go faster while nascar limits some stuff. I remember seeing a comment about it but I forgot what modifications made him faster make the spoiler or something
Ig cause the grand prix had equalizers like dirt tracks while nascar is just a linear track which makes it all about raw speed.

How Stanley could go upto 127mil/hr.
By looking at him he could do atleast 40mil/hr but 127 it's impossible.
So while it may seem impossible it really isn't, the actual Stanley Steamer managed to reach 127 mph thus becoming the fastest automobile until 1911 where the Fiat S76 beat it with a top speed of 132.27 mph. Although the Steamers record can't be forgotten due to the fact that the S76 was made specifically for the top speed record and the Steamer was a simple truck.

I like this video, however, something I wish you had done was included a disclaimer at the beginning of the video telling us that the make and model specified below each image is the vehicle the character is based on, not always the official in - universe make and model of the character. For example, I remember below Finn Mc Missile's image, was the text "Aston Martin DB5". It is likely true that this is the car that inspired Finn Mc Missile, athough in universe, Finn Mc Missile is a 1965 Faultless GT (As specified in a video from Ned Wheeler) Also, I don't remember seeing profiles for the characters Sheriff and Cruz Rameirez in this comparison, so don't forget to include them in any other cars movie comparisons. Thank you and I would love to see more pixar cars comparisons on this channel.
Cruz looks like a Caddy ATSVR from the front but a Camaro ZL1 from the back. She has a v8 so probably a camaro cause the ATS has a V10 with an optional V12
Yeah that’s true. And sometimes he mixed mph with kph. Chick Hicks Buick Regal GNX for example has a top speed of around 200kph not mph.
Why would he use the universe's model name, it's fictional. These are the actual car models for the characters.
Finn McMissile is a mix of both
1 thing I'd say is that Guido is a forklift, so definitely not a BMW Isetta.
Also Doc may be a stockcar racecar, but he's certainly not actually stock and I'm thinking can probably go away faster than that speed here. Even if he doesn't race anymore he'd still have a good amount of racecar parts on him.

No, this is the real true top speed of the cars, Dodge Challengers have a lot of power and are quick but the are shaped like bricks so they have bad top speeds

The info is taken from the Cars fandom wiki. It's mostly random numbers multiple people wrote without consulting each other. That's why it's a mess

I think that you could add some modifications, for example Lighting,when he was "modified" in cars 2, was able to reach the same spees of the Ferrari if not evwn going 1 mph faster thanks to slipstream. Same thing I would say for other characters but I don't remember if there were others. (I remember Mater having the boost thanks to the agents but that wouldn't be fair, but it still would be nice to know how fast he could go with that)

let's all just respect the effort that was made in finding out which real cars they all are! They weren't all correct, Lighting Mcqueen for instance is not a real car, but a custom... But still, it is imposing that you could find so many of them with such an extensive range of different cars from different brands and years

@@kilian.kns4138 The list of cars that he's based off is publicly available. He's mainly a combination between a corvette c6 and a gt-40. With some bits and bobs from a 70s Dodge charger and a 90s Porche 911. A Plymouth Superbird also played some role in his shape.

They are built on an extremely simial platform and share a lot of things whith each other.
Both of them are different cars, they are not the same but they are incredibly similiar to each other for being different cars.

Some of these top speeds seem a bit exaggerated. Like a Toyota Camry going 137 mph or an Oldsmobile going even faster. I had a 1996 F 150; 110 mph might have been possible going downhill. I don't think I ever got it past 80.

I believe the reasoning is how lightning was starting to get pretty old in cars 3, meaning he was kinda losing his speed. That's why he retired
He was getting old and the race tracks were quite different. Formula 1 cars can go super fast and steer well through well rounded turns however they at a disadvantage in almost anything else. Francesco had to go through unfavorable terrain with dirt and that's why Lightning could beat him.

All of the nascar cars should be at 214, that is the top speed unrestricted, although 190 was the common restricted speed on plate tracks at the time cars 1 came out.
So 185-195 would be a plate track speed
