Same here brother

“Now that’s a lot of damage!”
My dude, you got yourself a new sub. Your video quality is fantastic, you’re content is great, and you’re hilarious. Keep it up man!
14:47 *everything* takes more time than it should, especially when you're working on 80s European cars. Been there, done that. You remind me sooo much of myself in my 20s.
The Euro-spec headlights (unequal size) look so much better on these cars than what we got stuck with in the US. I owned '85 and '87 535i cars and loved them both.
The spring moment was very stupid dude please be careful I love your videos I don’t want you to be injured
You're an inspiration! I have an E28 535i (same colour) in my garage begging to be run. Time to bring out the tools.
The 525s of that era are by far the best looking BMW'S.
Sweet VW. And great work on the Bimmer, your funny guys. Awesome job
This is probably the only video on CZcams that's this long and i still watched entirely without getting board. Please keep uploading these kind of vids 🙏
Man you’re organized, you’re making me reconsider going to automotive school and love ur mk1 and to get one myself.
Just got you on CZcams and I love your build!!! I'll be starting mine in about 2 years 1980 E24... keep the videos coming. Greetings from France
Good luck! An E12 Karman body E24 is the biggest PITA to find parts for.
I love that mark 1 golf in the garage 😍😍😍
Great video! The wheels made such a huge difference! Now the e28 looks so much better! I've seen the old Volvo series and I loved it. Keep more content like this coming. Greetings from Russia!
Nice job my friend...i wish i could be your neighbor and help you haha.. greetings from Greece..
Everything is well and good, but I would recommend using E34 front struts along with 525i brakes for the front and rear. If you can source E34 540i brakes then that would be even better. As for the suspension - I recommend using sport shocks along with the sport top mounts which will lower your front a little, to top it off get rid of the 9mm upper spring pad and get the 3mm one sitting there, that's an additional 6mm drop.
You are lucky to get a car in such shape, keep it going
Best CZcamsr bought my e28 a few days ago and I have some elbow grease I need to put in it
Thank you for this! I’ve been waiting for someone to finally make a build video like this for e28s ! Cheers from another e28 builder
Dear Memphis, you got a new subscriber!
Keep it coming mate. Watching your videos is a good way to spend time, and earn knowledge. You are very simple when explaining things there and your accents is awesome 😁. Cant wait to see more of this BMW 💙
Greetings from Albania 🙋
I am a new subscriber; I thoroughly enjoy your projects-especially this E28. I always liked the lines of this series, particularly the backward slant of the front grill. Happy new year!! Wishing you continued success.
Nice work mate, I had a 528 I auto way back that I rebuilt from an engine fire. Beautiful car and I'm looking forward to seeing you get yours sorted.
bro im not into cars that much but that's so fun to watch, i subbed
Good job man!! You got a new subscriber from Denmark!!!
Those wheels are gorgeous mate, looking forward to future episodes
Waiting for a new video, it is a good idea to see once more old videos! Happy new year!
Loving the series so far. Cheers from the US. Keep the videos coming man, excellent production quality from such a small channel.
Love the video! You definitely inspired me to work on my E34. Thank you!
Need more of these restoration videos. Can't wait for the next episode!
Je hebt er een subscriber bij! Vette content, genoeg humor. Keep it up man!
Nice! I’m looking to change struts on my e28 too, so this was very helpful! Thanks man!
Keep the videos coming!
I really like style of your videos. Keep up the good work, post regularly and I'm sure this channel will be a big thing.
Excellent series my friend, looking forward to every new episode! Awesome to see someone doing a restoration in a driveway with limited tools and budget. Greetings from Luxembourg!
I give you a ton of credit for doing all the work to pull the strut housings and stuff, but I would've just done the extra work the first time and shortened/ welded the housings, stuck some bilstein inserts in there and grabbed a set of sleeve coilovers from ground control or some cheap 'circle track' QA1's or whatever. If you don't want to shorten the housings and run coilovers, the springs that have the biggest drop and ride pretty well are the Vogtlands IIRC. Been a long time since I owned or worked on any e28's. I ran a few different setups on mine when I owned it many years ago. The best adjustable budget setup is probably some bilstein sports, cut housings and a sleeve style coilover of your choice welded on. There are a bunch of threads on the forums discussing the different routes that people have gone. I'm also pretty sure that the Porsche 911 uses a shorter insert that'll fit into your housings and give you the proper amount of suspension travel. You'll have to do a search and see what you come up with. Don't forget a set of hubcentric centering rings for those style 32's as well. They have the bigger 74.1mm centerbore that the e39's have and you'll probably get some vibration or shimmy without them. Take care.
Valuable comment! Thanks

No problem. Figured I'd pass on some information to someone who could use it. Just sharing what I know based on my experience. I believe bimmerforums has the particular thread you're looking for. Take care
Awesome work mate, couldn’t help but laugh when you broke the vice off the bench, I would so do that!
5:52 good to know it can still serve its purpose
Great work. Well done!
Awesome job man. Good luck in the rest of the renovation. Greetings from Poland
very nice car, respect to the author!
Excellent, j'espère que la série va continuer pour voir cette voiture prendre la route comme elle le doit ! Bonne chance pour le reste des travaux !
Great work man. I gonna chase ur restoration. Satisfying to watch. Greetings from germany^^
These videos act as ASMR. Great work !
Really enjoy watching these episodes
These are without a doubt one of the best cars BMW ever made ,,I would love to be able to restore one of these and probably lower it and put some 18 inch wheels on it maybe alpina ones ,,they are so solid and the ride quality is insane !
Next time, hold the strut upside down and clamp the hexagon of the cap into the vice. The turn the strut wit some lever, which you can easily bolt to the lower mounting holes. It is way easier to apply force this way than at the cap.
when will part 4 come out mate? this is a great series
Excellent work!
Living these videos brilliant to see the love going in to restore the E28 😎😎
Really enjoyed the editing myself as another car channel here. Good work
Man, I really enjoy your shows! Glad to see you brought your girlfriend to help you out :)

Vert nice. I have in France a m5 e28. Amazing
I am very jealous of you, sir
Nice job with the wheels!
Keep it coming bro! Great jobs all the way! Looking forward to the next progress. Salaam dari Malaysia!
I haven’t laughed like this in a long time. You just because my favorite CZcamsr 😂. Makes me want to get my e34 again
Well done on this channel. Love the content, well edited, doesn’t get boring. I’ve subscribed.
Great again, Memphis. That will be a gorgeous car when you are done. Fabulous choice of wheels, too. Personally, I love that stock ride height. Purposeful but athletic. Back when this car was new, BMW was at the top of their game. They knew what they were about when it came to ride, handling, and road clearance compromises. Form was WAY behind function, as it should be on a car engineered for the road, not the show circuit. The newer ones, with the lack of suspension travel and steam roller tires, and not as good in real life. In fact, I very nearly crashed into the back of a fancy 7 series a couple of weeks ago. His fact BMW lost traction just as I was accelerating in my ancient, and stock, Volvo 240 wagon on winter tires.
I used to have this gen M5. One of the best looking BMW’s ever. Mine was US spec so it had the big bumpers but man, the EU is amazing. I’m looking forward to more.
Keep it coming 👍
New subscriber, love your videos man. Keep up the good work!
Nice job on those wheels.
Love this series, I love that it is almost a tutorial for others!
Great restoration I like it!
Brah! Keep up the good work.
This is so funny at the start ..! We’ve all been there when it just isn’t your day. 😂😂
Dude, great videos. I have an e28 that I'm restoring. Luck for me the car is black paint matching should be easier. I too changed the shocks and springs, but you installation looked relatively simple. I spend a great deal of time trying to get the upper shock mounts aligned. I look forward to seeing the finished product. Good luck. Izzy
How do you only have 6k subs?you deserve 1mil i love your vids
Drew here from Texas.. Dude yer friggen Hilarious!
Well done guys - definitely good effort with the suspension 👍🏼😎
Tip for future, undo the strut top nut while suspension is still fitted in car with a jack under the bottom. Then just slowly lower the jack.
Good work 👍
Hey memphis, I really enjoy your vids, your music and humor is awesome AF too, PLEASE POST A NEW e28 vid SOON!!!
For the future I can highly recommend Hamerite brush on paint for things like the struts or axles.... It is considerably more robust than rattle can paint. I've used it on suspension components and it has held for 3 years now!
nice job! keep up the good work
You have a really good girlfriend man 👏
u got new sub man keep the good work ! hi from bulgaria
Thanks for sharing and your choice of wheels are excellent! Keep building 😃one love 💕
700 subs.... hope to say that Im here from the beginning one day, when you break some thousands, good luck from Lithuania my dude!
Kind words! Thank you :)
@@memphis5220 Honest work ;)
Next time u want to disassemble the front strut .. use a pipe wrench .. itts all u need :-)
Now this is the content I'm looking for, also hello from California and I hope we can be e28 buddies
You rock mate!
Memphis bro, lovin’ the BMW restore. Look over in Denmark at Schmiedmann. I live in the States and I still order my parts from them. Great luck on the restore brother
As a person that lives in Denmark, i too recomend Schmiedmann. Worked great with my E90
dude, your videos are awesome! keep up the good work!
u give me the same vibe as i would be working with my friends on a project
Subscribed. Wallon or Flemish? Félicitations pour tes efforts. It is great to see young people interested and capable of mechanical restorations, and of European cars no less. I am in Canada and have a Boxster and Audi. German cars are definitely, hum, wonky and over engineered but fun to drive (for ex. who would ever reasoned using wheel bolts instead of lugs was a good idea should be shot! LOL! Have you ever tried to change a tire at -25c in a snow storm in the dark 290km away from civilization in wolf infested provincial park? Speed is of the essence!). Anyway, wonderful work and channel. Continue!
Russians are watching too, keep up the good work man! МОЛОДЕЦ!
Great videos, funny . You deserve more subb & view.
Finally! Been waiting a while for this ☺️
