Thank you for using the word “included” and not “free”. My wife and I will be going on Icon in May for our first ever cruise. Everything so far feels like we’re being nickled and dimed though, and this may very well be our last cruise. Would love to know all that’s included on Icon before we embark.
Truist Financial Securities recently upgraded their rating on Royal Caribbean Cruises (NYSE:RCL) to “Buy”. 18 Wall Street analysts have an average rating of “Moderate Buy” with a high estimate of $160 representing a +30% increase from the last price of $122.49. 🚢 🚀
The fact that cruising passengers have to pay additional money for “specialty” food is such a rip off to me. Could someone explain how all food is not inclusive in the cruise fare?
Tried El Loco Fresh on two different ships and it's not good at all! I would rather eat Taco Bell, which is not saying a lot. Blue Iguana Cantina on Carnival is much better. Only one decent hot dog at dog house which was the chicken apple, Sorrento's is ok when it's fresh, but again Carnival's Pizzeria del Capitano is much better. Park Cafe, not a fan of it either. There were sandwiches pre made that didn't taste fresh. Solarium Bistro and Main Dining Room were much better. Windjammer was hit or miss. And this was my take on sailing 4 different Royal ships in the past year. I'm not a loyal Carnival cruiser, I just don't appreciate how Royal chargers more yet their food is overall not impressive.
Correction: there is no amazing food included in your cruise fare on Royal anymore. If you want amazing, you either need to teleport back to 2019 or earlier, *or,* you need to purchase specialty dining - and even then it’s sketchy.
@@egreaves1 Make sure you point it out to them when you fill out the survey. I also called their customer service line directly. Prior to that, while I was still on board our ship, I went online to a Royal Caribbean blog and detailed my food experience publicly. The cruise line keeps their finger on the pulse of that. I know, because mid-way through the sailing I received 2 phone calls from two of the head dining room staff, telling me that the cruise line saw my blog post and wanted to make it right with me. Anyway, Royal was completely kind and attentive towards me, and I greatly appreciated that. But from what I’ve read, they haven’t changed anything. They cater primarily to newer cruisers and families who either don’t know any better or simply don’t care.
It really depends on the chef.. I don’t mind some of the included food, but the specialty so far has been the star.. I haven’t had anything had at any specialty dining place yet on Royal.
Not all of us accept this rubbish as “gourmet.” Cruise lines (especially RCL) have largely scaled back the quality and quantity of their food. You do far better these days with an all-inclusive resort on land.
It’s included in the up front price of the cruise. It’s all you can eat. There are other restaurants called specialty restaurants that cost extra, but they are optional.

I went on Independence of the Seas in 2015 and I was not expecting how amazing my vacation was. I was eating so much pizza
I’ll be eating hot dogs all day and then going straight to that pizza until 2!!!!

I really enjoyed myself on Oasis of the seas, great resteraunt, I had so much fun and it was huge ❤️

The included food is not good at all but I enjoyed specialty dining.

anything thats not specialty dining is free. so places like chops grill, jamie's, azumi are charged. Royal Caribbean Blog is a good place for info
