Great video, thanks! Good tip on pre-measuring race depth, I'll remember that. H-F has two presses I'm getting soon, the 20-ton floor model and the 6-ton bench top model. I have a triple axle salt water boat trailer and replace bearings and races regularly, and a good press is worth its weight in gold for knocking out old races and reseating new ones. No more hammering them in with sockets or old races, lol. Thanks again for a great, informative video!
Another tip for removing interior races (not mine; thanks youtube). If you have access to a welder, weld a bead on the race itself. As the bead cools it will shrink; loosening the race with it and makes it much easier to remove. Just be sure not to weld the hub and protect exposed areas for weld spatter.
I’m making one right now. Thanks.
I might have exclaimed "Money!" when that race popped out. Thanks man!
