- Today we're discussing every real person that was ever featured in the show, as well as characters inspired or designed after real people because turning humans into equines is a delicate art. If I missed anypony please let me know! I came really close to missing Hoofdini, Cozy Glow, Siegfried, and Roy so I wouldn't put it past me to miss someone.
Edit: I missed Brittney Spears, who has a poster of hers referenced in Las Pegasus, it’s actually in the blurry background during Lerovun’s part. I knew I’d miss at least one!
-I also missed Prince! There’s a pony look alike of him during “the spectacle” in the episode “The Mane Attraction” he does the auto tune spell on RaRa.
-Timber mentions Picasso in Legends of Everfree
-Coco Pommel is named after Coco Chanel
-Mulia Mild (from MMMystery) is named after Julia Child

Not related to the topic of the video... but since Night Light was mentioned here i feel the urge to say this fun fact about him:
In the Latin Spanish Dub Twilight Sparkle is voiced by Carla Castañeda, While her Father Night Light is voiced by Mario Castañeda... who is the real life father of Carla.
And Mario Castañeda also happens to be the official voice of Goku in the Latin American Dub, which is funny since Twilight (the character that his daughter interpreted) ended up having a very Dragon Ball-esque fight in the show xddd.

He was a brony before he was involved with the show, and ended up voicing Grand Pear. Grand Pear's young version is obviously based on Shatner's appearance when he played captain Kirk in the original Star Trek - his coat is the colour of the Star Trek commander's uniform, and his mane is based on Shatner's hair. Granny Smith references Grand Pear being Kirk in a later episode when she rambles about a dream she had (which also references Discord/John De Lancie being Q). I'm not sure if this counts more as Grand Pear being Kirk or Grand Pear being William Shatner.

I’ve always appreciated how MLP references famous people and characters from other franchises. Even the creative episode titles deserve a raise!
My favorites are Elvis, Lena Hall, Justin Bieber, the Make A Wish program OCs, ACRacebest, BlackGryphon and that Twilight Sparkle Ben 10 theory was quite fascinating! Still can’t wrap my head around the fact that Elvis is somewhere in the MLP universe…I want to take an even better look in that autograph book!! :D

Rara is a reference to bad romance.
