hysol u05fl may be a good choice ,because it is 2 part if you put it in a closed pill bottle it still will set up .being a urethane it can be hit and not crack .
Hi Sebastian, No, you do not have to rotate the strap. The strap is just to hold the cap down while the glue cures. Rest the bat with the cap down while the glue cures. So that if you over glue any excess glue will seal in around the inside edge of the cap and the bat. Do not to over tighten the strap, the cap material is really soft and pliable and the strap will leave an impression on the end of the cab if you over tighten it! good luck.

+Babymc1515 How to remove the end cap. Use a drill with a 1/2" bit drill and drill through the center of the cap. Then use a pair of pliers to pry and break away the cap. If the edge of the cap does not remove from the bat wall, you can then use a flat head screwdriver and hammer between the wall of the bat and the cap and slowly breakthrough the edge of the cap and bat with the screwdriver to remove. Note be careful not to get too close to the edge of the bat and mistakenly drive the screwdriver into the back wall!

Do you rotate your strap 90° throughout the curing time or do leave it in one position for the 7 days?

Looks like he used a bandsaw - caps as shown on replacement have a sleeve [which appears to be still inside the barrel]
