@@stevenw4334 I got good vibes from him. Zero pretentiousness from someone with lots of knowledge. Man, all that's happened in 4 years since I commented.
It was actually the FD's that had the fire issue, not so much with the FC's. It was also because they used a SAE fuel line with a metric fitting that caused the leaks with most cars catching fire when the car was parked after a spirited drive. Of course, you already knew all of that.

The second gens caught on fire because the pulsation dampener on the primary fuel rail would fail and spew gas all over the engine, typically resulting in fire. This guy mentioned lightened rotors giving less reciprocating mass...rotors don't reciprocate, they ROTATE along a trochoid path. Also, it's my dad and I, not me and my dad. Just a friendly english reminder. Aside from all that, the car is a nice build!

VERY TRUE WITH ANY MOTOR! If you build it RIGHT every car can be reliable.
@darkeyce02 exactly. i have torn mine down did differenet ports differenet rotors seals everything. an still used the same housings an irons. I blew on motor after 5k cause i didnt replace the rotor bearings each time i rebuild it x4.Now I have been on a half bridgeport for about a year now an have no problems at 12psi. besides oil consumption but hey thats every rx7 an for that highly modded of a motor to just have to add a half of quart every 3 to 4 months i cant complain. I love these motors

It's true though. My friends fc caught on fire. Idk how but it happened in his garage. Thankfully he had a fire extinguisher.
No. Some people have claimed to get 140mph, but that's according to their speedo which is not an accurate way to measure speed at that speed.
Also, he said on the straight of a track. That means he didn't have a long stretch of road to reach 160+, where a stock rx7 would need years to reach 140.
