- We rode The All American Triple Loop at Indiana Beach, which I think can fairly be named the most brutal roller coaster in the United States! This is the relocated Schwarzkopf Dreier Looping coaster which originally opened in 1984 as a traveling roller coaster on the German fair circuit. I just missed the chance to ride this coaster when I operated as Quimera at its previous home in Mexico City at La Feria.
We also check out two credits in the Chicago area, one was awesome and the other not so much!

Unironically those random coasters in the middle of nowhere might be more entertaining than full park vlogs lmao
Ib is a great destination actually
Indiana Beach becoming the Schwarzkopf retirement home wasn’t on my bingo card years ago… but here we are
The El Toro airtime sound effect always gets me so good😂🤣
Yaaaaaaaaasssssssssssss……I could not agree…MORE!
After a little bit of googling, I can tell you that the People's Choice Fun Center was previously a HOBO (Home Owners Bargain Outlet) store, part of a small chain of 7 stores in the Chicagoland area which went out of business in 2018. I can only assume that when they closed the store they just left behind a bunch of unsold merchandise in the store, and the current tenants can't be bothered to get rid of it.
According to RCDB, it looks like the dragon wagon coaster is a Chinese made one, Henan Beston Amusement Equipment Co, LTD
12:06 the ultimate.... Was at my local park.... When I was younger I rode it all day and did 47 laps to raise money for charity...... I still have the extra lumps of bone on my knees!
I tried to get a piece of the track and at least part of the trfin into the railway museum (as it was finished by British railways) and I got a cease and desist letter from the parks solicitors! What a way to show love to fans!
Stay epic!
0:01 those crankshafts under the track are actually so sick, I didn't know it worked like that.
I thought it was individual motors, pretty neat.
Gonna need some Schwarzkopf driveshafts for my Jeep.
Nate ragdolling on the Safari coaster is hilarious.
The use of RCT2 sound effects is sending me. 😂
*All American Tripple Loop* (A transportable funfair attraction former called *Dreier Looping* ) is from the same German Manufacturer *Anton Schwarzkopf* who also build the famous *Olympia Looping* . The attraction was traveling through Germany for 12 Years before it left Germany according to Wickipedia.
I myself drove the *Olympia Looping* a few times and the wagons and restrains are very similar if not equal to this ride. I have the same complains about the Shoulder restrains but honestly wouldn't be sure if the coaster is safe enough without in an upside down stalling insident.
Back in the day these coasters were not developed with CAD and simulations but by experience, real drawings and more or less handcalculations. I saw a documentary about the way Schwarzkopf used to develop his coasters. So they were usually kind of rough. Also many techniques like the heard line were not invented yet as far as I remember. So always better prepare for some head shakes 😂
By the way I'm from Germany and I like your documentaries about specific Rolllercoasters a lot. Always interesting to watch. 👍🏼
10:35 super insane to think, this coaster is built from 2 derailed coasters
sure feels like it
@@TheCycloneHunter factually is too lol. I feel wrong that this ride exists 😂
Two coasters that famously killed people 😬
Rumor is the Shuttle loop is there to be worked on by the maintenance crew, the get shipped back to NY. They were busy with the triple looper and probably didn't have the space to store the shuttle loop track while the other one was priority
Was there recently and immediately spotted the shuttle components. Huge fan of those since the 70s. Sad that we’re down to Montezooma and what- one or two others in some form of storage? Grew up on the Tidal Wave. It was my baby.
I remember seeing Canobie Coaster's review of Tiger Terror and just thinking there's no way they consider it a kiddie coaster. The lats and airtime looks insane for a coaster that small.
That first shot of Nate riding Tiger Terror and getting rag dolled around was magic 😅
I rode this Schwarzkopf at Prater in Vienna, Austria 2 weeks ago. Hopefully this will be open when I go to Indiana Beach in the fall.
I love Ryan's word of the day, STUPID . 😂😂😂.
Or, is that his GO- TO word for many things? Lol.
I would not disagree with him. Lol.
So many things are STUPID, even if they are AWESOME. Lol.
Great video, be safe, GUYS.
Hearing the Corn song was just special
Uncle Nate calling Indiana Beach a retirement home for coasters made me belly laugh. That is now how I'm always going to describe the park.
Hades at Mt. Olympus will always be the most brutal coaster for me
Wait till you ride triple loop
I rode this hundreds of times when it was at Flamingoland as Magnum Force. With arms in the air... mind, I was 20 years younger then. 😂
Also removed the rally harness one time - the trains were original back then and only had a lapbar until Flamingoland added rally harnesses. I wanted to feel like a German at the fairs... only did it once. 😂
Its slower than used to be, the mid course tyre runs used to boost it. The kiddie coaster at the end is how Triple Loop rode with just lapbars. 😁
El Toro is the best coaster vlog on the planet! I love the RCT edits and all the great references and the IASIP music - just a one of a kind coaster dude right here folks!
Thats a bummer they had the lights on for Tiger Terror for you guys! It was even better in the dark for us haha.
i have it in my top 5 kiddie coasters along with the one near Fort Wayne Indiana
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
I didn't know a RollerCoaster Tycoon pinball machine existed before I saw your video, but now I need one !
Nice! Glad you finally got to ride it.
I’ve watched a couple people’s videos from Indiana beach and I never noticed they were all front cars until you pointed that out 😂 and now I can’t unsee it when I see the trains
When I went the second weekend of operation The All-American Triple Loop opened after lunch; those transitions are rough with painful restraints. I really love Lost Coaster, a try to ride it at least once a Season (lots of down time and really poor capacity).
If only the park bought Canobie Corkscrew, then they really could have saved Chicago Loop.
Did Schwarzkopf ever make a bad coaster? Every one I’ve ever ridden from the 70’s until now are still great coasters!
That kiddy cred looks really fun lol.
When the arms were going up on the kiddie safari coaster... I WAS SCARED THEY'D BE CHOPPED! 🫣
Absolutely wild that this is the same roller coaster I rode when it was Magnum Force at Flamingo Land in the UK.
Never rode All American Triple Loop but can't imagine a coaster more brutal than the Steel Phantom. After getting off that thing it felt like you just went a few rounds with Mike Tyson.
So…LoCo SuMo used to be this weird, self-propelled dark ride of sorts. It had this strange out and back roller coaster element (mostly flat), but turned into a dark ride in the back half. It was STRANGE.
At some point, they turned it into a full fledged roller coaster with the same footprint, which required the vertical lift because it didn’t have a lift hill in its prior life.
They used the same faux mountain and same basic track layout, but added hills and whatnot. It’s kind of a feet of modern engineering.
With Indiana Beach being pretty good at listening to people, I feel like they will do something about the restraints.
Nice shirt Uncle Nate! Saddleback rocks.
I love the RCT2 sound effects on Triple Loop! Lol
As an Edmonton local. That is not a mind bender train. They had the horrible over shoulder things too.
I live 15 minutes away from Great America and have driven past that People’s Choice a lot but never went. That company used to have a restaurant closer to me called Rocky’s (that red dinosaur) and they first opened the restaurant with a family video type of store, then it turned into an arcade, then they added slots. So whoever owns that chain must be doing whatever they can to keep it open
Missed out with having the lights on for Tiger Terror… guess you’ll have to go back oh darn
Got to ride Triple Loop a few weeks ago and loved it. Once you know how to ride it's excellent. Tiger Terror is definitely my favorite Wisdom coaster I've ridden yet. Actually a pretty solid ride!
A friend told me don't ride but I really want to been looking forward for years like you guys I think I'll take the advice and ride in front and maybe take some headache meds before lol
glad to see safari land get some love, live down the street from there!
honestly loving the retirement home for old coasters, kinda doing what silverwood has done
Well, I went to Indiana Beach once to ride Lost Coaster... I guess I'll be heading back again this summer to try this Schwarzkopf
I really wanna ride AMTL. Having been on Olympia Looping and it being one of my all time favourite credits, I am really eager to ride this thing. I can usually take a hit so I think I’ll be fine!
There's one of those Tiger coasters at the Oakland Zoo and it's a shockingly fun little coaster. It's the one kiddie coaster I'd ride with my kids.
I rode this back in the early 2000's when it was known as Magnum Force at Flamingo Land!
OMG! I didn't realize you went to Safari Land, too!
I rode when triple loop was magnum force at flamingo land uk. Rode it loads in my teens very good intense ride
Did they really use a sound sample from RCT at 9:56? LOL
I did!!
Here I was thinking “So people in America really do scream like they do in RCT” 😂
@@ElToroRyan LOL I got a good laugh out of that. Props, sir!
Nice choice of the Party Boy music in the background.
Brace yourself into the restraint. It sucks, I know, mainly because Schwarzkopf is known for incredible looping coasters that only need a lapbar. But ride ops will tell you that trick. Rode this last week and I strongly urge new riders to stick to the front car. The back just has a lot more of the whip effect on the head. But yeah it’s unfortunate because it’s such a great layout. The air hill is a nice surprise.
The People's Choice Family Fun Center looks like a former Kmart. Oh well, better this than it being sitting abandoned.
I could be wrong but I don't think the original trains had the shoulder restraints. I think these are the trains from mindbender.
Yes. Apparently Quimera's trains were in BAD shape so they were probably going to require purchasing new trains from somewhere. It worked out well for the park that Mindbender was being removed so they could pick up the trains.
@@parkhoppingherbivore that's understandable, given his they were run to the point of breaking in Mexico. I just really dislike the mindbender trains personally. I know it's just wishful thinking but if they could get new trains, like the B&M/Valente SAS trains on Riddles Mindbender, that would amazing.
@@Wilhelm1407Coasters yeah fingers crossed these aren't the permanent cars and restraints. I would hope that the park got a good deal on them since Mindbender just went to scrap anyways, so they can look into other options for future seasons.
The "all American" coaster from a German maker :p
And operated in *five different countries
Our day there was “It should open in an hour”….all day lol. It finally opened at 9pm.
Indiana Beach is definitely a night park. If you haven’t done an evening to close visit, it’s worth the very unique experience.
Yes ib at night is magical
I rode El Toro for the first time last week, first coaster ever to make me bleed cus i hit my elbow 😂 so good though but definitely rough
painting the wheel assemblies bright blue was definitely a strange choice
I love the lift hill sound of Triple Loop. But damn, those trains gotta go
13:27 that’s almost definitely an old car from Quimera. My guess is the park is using the redesigned cars from Galaxyland because they meet current safety guidelines but are Frankensteining what they can from Triple Looper’s original cars. The Triple Loop used cars that had major design flaws up until it derailed in 2019. How it lasted that long with such neglect I don’t understand.
But there was an issue with the screw in the wheel assembly. I’m Canada’s Galaxyland, this led to it failing, which led to the car being unable to make a loop, which led to a train derailing and the lap bars releasing. So to fix that, you get these crazy trains: they’re a car shorter than designed, are so restrictive that it makes the g-forces that much worse on your body as you can’t move properly, and they’re super loud as they have twice as many wheels now.
It’s disappointing that they didn’t fix this during the twelve year fair circuit in Germany, since it ran there from 1984 to 1996. There was no reason it couldn’t have been updated after the company worked with Galaxyland.
One of those needs to be ETRBaby's first coaster.
Cornball is so awesome. Completely surprises you.
Is it allowed to make a clip of the lift podracers noise moment ?
Don’t forget about that credit at the Indianapolis Zoo, with admission then buying to get on the ride, it would probably be like $30😂
You still would have missed Voyage had you made it to Holiday World that afternoon. It ran a few cycles in the morning then was down the rest of the day. My son and I were at IB the day before you and were at Holiday World on 6/9.... part of our seven day, five park roadtrip.
Since the shuttle loops train looked to be Patriot themed I think they’re either going to use it in the future or have tried it and it didn’t work.
I tried to get the credit at the People’s Choice Family Fun Center, and the roller coaster was unfortunately closed when I went there. The employee told me it is open on weekends only.
Two brutal coasters
Nate damn near flew out that safariland coaster 😭
I tried to ride Zonga 4 times in 2003. I got to the station once before it broke down.
Uncle Nate I’m 7 minutes away from Niagara I feel you about the shuttle loop
Thanks for posting this. Do you recall the time of day that this opened?
Is the guy in the back at 4:21 passed out?
In Germany (and some parts of The Netherlands), the Schwarzkopf ride is touring fairs as "Olympia Looping". I rode it in the 90s, and it was indeed "quite rough". But it was unique to have a ride like this at the fair, so there was a long queue all night long, with people glady paying a premium price. And as I was still young and spry as I rode it, no permanent damage was incurred by riding it 😊
Olympia Looping is not the same coaster as All American Triple Loop it was known as Drier Looping when it traveled for Barth
*Olympia Looping* has *5 loops*
Naturally because of the 5 Olympian loops 😊
Its a shame that the mindbender trains on Triple Loop have the horrible accordion OTSR. Its original trains had only lapbars.
That pizza looked good!
I rode this at flamingo land UK as magnum force was a great ride. I think I went on it 25 times in a row
Looks like its a similar layout to the former Mindbender at west edmonton mall
It's very similar, but smaller and less intense. It also uses the same trains - that's why they have the terrible restraints, since they're from mindbender
The motor sound is cool, but I would love if you could do a "theme park marvel" on Bobbejaanland's Revolution to discuss it's former ABB Stromberg VF traction. Watch some old POV's to understand what I'm talking about
I know that it´s the train from Mindbender, but why 3 Front Cars instead of a regular train? I always wondered why they went for that unusual, low capacity configuration.
Looks like the old Tazs Texas Tornado that was at the old SF Astroworld in Houston.
Similar, but Taz was bigger
Triple Loop seems like its a meme for that "Oops All Berries" Captain Crunch but its "Oops All Front Cars"
Great video! How did you find these kiddie credits?!?
I was just there on Saturday. I didn’t think AATL was rough at all
Fun fact: the first Portillos is in the same parking lot as Safari Land
Peoples Choice used to be a Home Improvement store called HOBO
The way their heads just synced together
I rode this when it was at Flamingo land UK. I greyed out on it. I don't understand why.
Has ACE recognized Tiggr as the oldest operating coaster in Indiana?
Or the fact Hoosier Hurricane was the first wooden coaster built in the state in over 50 years??
Overshooting anything holiday world has.
I wanted a slow motion zoom on the head snap around 11:02 😂
ive rode mindbender at galaxyland and its the same coaster
It's such a shame they are using those trains on Triple Loop. When it was in Europe, with the lap-bar-only trains, it was (and still is) my favourite coaster. Very intense, but smooth with it. You only have to watch it with the new trains to see that they track hideously badly by comparison.
Indiana beach should just get new trains with updated restraints
It looks like Steel Hawg is on something. What is it and why have I never seen this before?
Lol you finally rode it 5 years later😂
I was there just 3 days early and lost coaster was closed unfortunately
Have you ridden Olympia Looping yet? How does this compare?
Tfw add Kitty coaster is better than most at a bigger park (also that last one wasn't a coaster)
Is Safari Land's ride the new High Speed Thrill Coaster?
Oh god they put OTS restraints on it? With those transitions?
Does it even pull negative Gs at any point?
