- Build 98 dropped today for Derail Valley Simulator by developers Altfuture which include an all-new piece of rolling stock/loco - the 'BE2-260' which is a smolboi battery/elec switcher.
Updated sounds were added to the DE6 locomotive as well as further optimizations for the overall game via CPU & GPU and a whole lot more we'll try to cover.

I love the way trains feel genuinely heavy in b98 and how the locomotives no longer spontaneously combust when asked to do more than half throttle at 10 kmh.
i can't tell you how many times I've done mental gymnastics tryin to figure out why something won't move and the handbrake is on.

Dude I took a long break from the game and I had both my brake handles to 100% in the de6. I got the positions confused. I sent a whole bug report to the devs🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ when I just had to release my ind and main brakes
it is a shunter mainly used for moving wagons in yards and setting up consists for locals and moving steamers around with no pressure
That shunter looks like ASF EL16. IRL it doesn't have air brake and main purpose of these are just move wagons and other locomotives around maintenance depos and hangars.
true to that was made by Lokomotivbau Elektrotechnische Werke „Hans Beimler“ Hennigsdorf witch was near Berlin sadly the Factory was closed afer rejunification of Germany in the 90´s
Isn't this one of thouse modern day equivalents to the old Fireless locomotive. Ie it's explicitly used in places where a regular diesel would be a hazard like explosives or underground facilities (or underground explosive facilities!)
@@themanformerlyknownascomme777 yes and no theese small locos were used in like a depot or and an Factroy as an extreme cheap aternative to a heavy loco. like if you buy an 90´s toyota just for work + grocerys that you bind with. as you sayed used everywhere when you need short to medium distances but dont need or want to have infastructure for the loco ( u need only a charging station but no fuelpump etc)

It's a nice game but got tired of the same map and after a time progression is not very satisfying anymore. But kudo's for the devs to push updates and add content for free. That's rare.
They should wait with this update until April 1
After the new update, the Derail Valley is the Crash Valley now.
it is suppost to be a light shunter handeling 3-4 car train of either emptys or unloads as long as they aint heavy
I understood that as "assembling 3 jobs' worth of train at Iron Mine West." It's good for 800 tons on level ground, apparently.

Its just the sandbox mode although the devs made it a bit over engineered and hard to understand
If you derail the stockcars, or run into them at speed, the animals will fall over (presumably dead depending on crash force). I'm glad you didn't do that here, yet. 😅
Honestly looking at the roadmap, there's gonna be so much stuff coming in the future that I'm excited for. Within the next 2-3 years this is gonna become the best train sim out there imo

2:20 and the money, a million in the account. for orders you have a maximum of 15k-20k (depends on the complexity). so you play it in creative, where you increased the money in the game documents.
15 minutes was enough from the video (personally I would not put this on the Internet)

For the record, I first played DRV when it was vr only yeeeeears ago before i started YT and i dont play often now.
My account is indeed in career but i loaded a save from before the "simulator" update.
