Yeah this was completely fake. When Buddy comes back and sees the "bride" piping icing on the cake, you can see there was no other icing on the cake. She was still piping on the very first icing bag she grabbed. My guess is producers told her to do this and told Buddy to walk back out of frame so she could finish "destroying" the cake.
You can even see her give a little smile when Buddy comes back right before they cut to the next shot. They both looked to be holding back their amusement of how ridiculous the situation is before they both had to get back in character. The second cake was always the original plan. Though the ending is still weird and unsatisfactory. I could see it fits her bridezilla story but it only served to make the audience resent her even more.
She ain't in the right state of mind to appreciate the second cake, which is why she ruined the first one, in the first place.

Buddy and his team had put in a lot of work into that cake. Walking into the bakery and ruining it is not acceptable in any way. What had Buddy done to her? Despite that he worked hard to make another one last min and she didn even have the courtesy to step out and thank him. Shameful! This girl neither deserves the cake nor a wedding being thrown by her mom. She probably cannot earn a dime herself to sponsor her own wedding which is why the mother had to step in. What’s wrong if her mom wants to have a say in her daughter’s wedding? It’s ok for the kids to depend on their parents for growing up, education and everything else but it’s not ok for a parent to have a say in a small matter like a wedding cake? The daughter is dealing with a domineering mother. What she wanted was a lot simpler. I don't know exactly what kind of hold the parents had on her (there's usually something), but it wouldn't have cost the parents anything if the girl and her fiancé eloped in the desert as they'd wanted to do.

I think the first cake would have turned out great if the bride didn't ruin it...instead, she got rewarded for her bad behavior with a beautiful second cake, maybe even better than the first one. Buddy handled her much much better than I could ever...I would have refused and banned her for life. CARLOS bakery is a legit bakery in Hoboken, NJ. He stays busy every day, and honestly he really didn't have the time to make another cake for this ungrateful child, that's what she acted like. There is real people that order on his shows. @@hollygonzalez6298 it definitely was fake. If this happened irl he would’ve called the police. The cake he was showing could’ve just been styrofoam bedded with the fondant. This person that is acting could be a relative that he told to act like this for the show too 🤷🏻♀️

This woman is absolutely mean to destroy the first cake and didn't even appreciate the beautiful decorations of the wedding cake delivered to her. This behavior is a warning sign to her future husband. Her mom is gracious, well mannered and all the bakers deserved a thumbs up for their unity, patience and grace towards this woman who seems to have a mental issue complementing her ugly behavior.
