I have to say... AC/DC has always been one of my top 3 rock groups! Always! But Dan just blew them right tf away with this!! OMFW!!!

Great song and great reaction. Dan was hired by the band as a session singer but they listed him as a band member. While with them he sang and wrote a lot of the music for their album. It is good. He left them in 2018. You can Google Dan Vasc's letter to his fans when leaving Orion's Reign. Dan has a lot of class.

Dan's voice can be heard on most of the tracks on Orion's Reign Scores of War album. I believe he wrote much of it, also. It is excellent and well worth a listen to. He was amazing as always on Thunderstruck. Thanks for reacting to it .

The timing! Just a couple hours ago I was watching The Charismatic Voice react to the original of this song and now you have a reaction to Dan’s version! Cool! 😎 Personally I strongly prefer Dan’s voice. No disrespect to the original vocalist, but I know what I like and the other guy is very raspy.

Orion's Reign is NOT Dan's band.
Dan's band is called FEARLESS.
Orion's Reign is a greek symphonic metal band, that Dan was collaborating with for a while as a session singer.
They made an album with him as front singer, but he's not credited anywhere for it.
He also did a few Christmas songs with them an Minniva, and he recently did a collaboration with Minniva and one of the musicians from OR on 'Beauty and the Beast'.
Minniva wrote on her Facebook page, that they had actually recorded the "Beauty and the Beast" video two years ago, just before she had to take time out from her music career, due to what seems to have stress, related to the career itself. She's back, now, and one of the first things she did, was get that video edited and posted. It's beautiful, and shows a COMPLETELY different side of Dan's excellence--even different to his previous video with Alina Lesnik, on THEIR version of "Beauty and the Beast," which is TOTALLY different in approach, than the Dan and Minniva version. BOTH are just fabulous!
All of their songs are good. Try The Gravewalker, Together we March and their metal Christmas songs are fantastic!

Orion's Reign isn't Dan' Vasc's band. Dan's band is (and was before he ever sang with Orion's Reign as a session singer) FEARLESS. Fearless consists of Dan's two-year-younger brother Davi on bass (and that's spelled correctly -- pronounced Dah-VEE), and two of their childhood friends: Gabriel Belozi on any type of guitar (WONDERFUL stuff), and Giovanni Rezende on drums (and BOY, can he drum!!!).
If you react to Dan's version of "Dawn of Victory" (which includes his in-person guest, Fabio Lione), you'll see and hear the full band. They have one original 12-track album on Spotify, etc., at the moment, but from what we've been hearing, there should be another original album showing up soon. Dan does most of the lyric-writing for the originals, and the Davi does most of the music writing.
Davi, himself, has two CZcams channels, that are gaming-related. His main channel is a LOT of fun, as he reacts to video game OSTs, while LISTENING TO (not watching) play-throughs that are sent to him, and he tells his viewers what's happening in the game that is being seen by his audience, according to how the music sounds. He is REALLY good at it.
He also writes OSTs. His FULL OST (that can be found on Bandcamp), is just gorgeous. It's the music for the game Coromon.
Both he and Gio also have their own gaming channels, as does Dan. Gabriel has a channel also -- a music-oriented one. They are ALL very talented.
All of that said...thank you for reacting to this. It has become THE version of Thunderstruck that I will always listen to. I like AC/DC, but this one is WAY better, as far as I'm concerned.

Absolutely LOVE 2 Cellos instrumental version! Hauser is still doing great music. My sister actually got to see them perform in CO & said they were phenomenal. Funny thing was that she had no idea what concert she was headed to (driving from So. Texas) until arriving there because it was a surprise trip from a friend.

Love a lot of Orion's Reign stuff especially where Dan sings.. some of his duets and Christmas songs with them are fire too. Dan was their lead male singer for a while, left to concentrate on his band Fearless and his own work too as his channel grew.. think 2019 or there abouts. Thanks for the great reaction.
Excellent reaction to this! Orion's Reign is super cool, and they love to include people important to them in their videos. In their 2020 or 2021 Christmas video, they included submissions from their fans and incorporated them into the video. AC/DC was a favorite band of one of my best friends in the late 70s/early80s, so this one brings back good memories! I'd love to hear Dan do an updated version of this one!

A vocal coach reactor described Dan’s vibrato as “jaw vibrato”because with natural vibrato you don’t move or tense up your jaw. Either way Dan sounds great and his voice is perfect for symphonic metal. Imagine how epic it would be if he ever performed with Nightwish.

The jaw vibrato is a technique used in those high pitch, high power screams where natural vibrato isn’t possible. If you watch Dan singing at lower pitches or intensity his natural vibrato flows freely and doesn’t have to be manufactured with jaw movement like it does when “screaming.” He uses his jaw as a tool/technique when necessary but he has very beautiful natural vibrato as well.

Fearless was already Dan's band, before he started singing with Orion's Reign, which was never his band. He was a guest singer, and most times he recorded with them, he was the lead singer. He didn't stay with them, because he needed more time to do his own stuff.

Yes! Dan does Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus" (from "The Messiah). He becomes 24 different singers in that song. There are eight parts (bass, baritone, low tenor, high tenor, 2nd alto, 1st alto, 2nd soprano, and 1st soprano). I used to sing the 1st soprano part for years and years, from the time I was in middle school, throughout high school, and onward. It is NOT an easy song to sing--especially that highest part.
In Dan's version, there are three singers (all "Little Dans") for each part. He very carefully filmed them, so that you can tell he was singing the correct parts for each of them in the video. There are some really funny little movements throughout the song.
Since Dan always makes at least four recordings of each part he sings, then he decides on which recording to put into his combined videos, there was a LOT of singing for that song!
3 voices x 8 parts = 24 tracks (in the end)
4 recordings x 24 tracks = [at LEAST] 96 times that Dan sang that song, in order to produce that video. It was created in his FIRST home studio. He has said that that whole endeavor was his "moment of insanity." We are all SO glad he created that kind of insanity for us to enjoy. 😀
