  • Go Here to Download Your Book - www.myboxingcoach.com - We are going to work 5 wonderfully simple 3 punch combos. That's what I love about boxing, and often it's what people get wrong. The best boxing is simple, elegant and clear. Let's not over-complicate things.
Many people think of boxing combinations as lots and lots of punches. But, most of the time boxers tend to link together boxing combos of 2 or 3 punches.
    It makes sense.
The boxing combos I cover in the video include prepared attacks, unprepared attacks, jabs, crosses, uppercuts and hooks...there's something in there for every one!
So, here's the list of boxing combos:
    1. Jab - jab - lead hook
    2. Back hand - jab - back hand
    3. Jab - back hand - lay back - back hand
    4. Feint jab body - jab head - back hand - lead hook
    5. Feint jab - back hand uppercut - lead hook - back hand hook.
Simple works. Boxing combos can be simple and super-effective.
    Cheers
    Fran

Novice boxer here. I found #2 actually pretty difficult. Keep stepping first with my rear foot. Great combo's, very informative video. Good luck with the renovation!

Combination #2 looks similar to the punching footwork we used in my old Taekwondo school. A little bit different, though. We would take a full step and end up switching sides mid-combo.

    - three separate 1, 1, (they think it's another 1) 3. The 3 can be any other lead hand shot too
    - stepping 212, lead foot steps first
    - 12 layback 2

Good stuff, thank you. In future you might want to increase your camera framerate to avoid the ghost effect on punches, if you care about such things (doesn’t really materr, just aesthetics).

I agree in and out keep it simple 3 punches very effective because sparring doesn’t always allow time for 6 punches etc

How does combination 3 work why would a feign to the head induce the opponent to lean inside and to your right hand . If you are both orthodox feign jab should induce move back , opponent leaning to the outside of the jab no ?
