Use of Verbal Judo in Dementia Care

Verbal Judo is a set of de-escalation strategies developed by George Thompson, and widely used by the police in the US to calm-down volatile situations. Here we see it adapted for dementia care settings, where it is used in the management of behaviours that challenge. This animation is part of the CAIT (Communication and Interaction Training) programme.
