Oh man ...my heart melt when the girl say i would like to visit india 🇮🇳.....very cheeful for me when people around world show their deep interest in indian diverse cultural and multi religious country ....welcome to india ❤
Greetings! I am Deepak from India. I have been watching all your tutorials for 6 months. I have improved my English speaking as well as writing skills. I love your teaching style. I am extremely sorry to disturb you, but I have a question on Passive Voice. If you made me understand, I would be happy. Question: I studied that Passive Voice is also used to describe the State/Stage/Condition/Status of an Object. Such as :- 1) I am tired 2) The window is cracked. 3) The computer is connected to the internet. 4) The food is overcooked. 5) The door was closed. 6) The floor was polished, These all describe the current state or condition of an object such as I, Window, Computer, Food and the door. I very well understand mentioned above examples. Now My doubts arise here as to why we did not use the "Opened" "Cleaned" verb Why we often say: 1) The door was "open" instead of "The door was "opend" 2) The floor was "clean" instead of "The floor was cleaned. Story Base :-"When I arrived home, the door was open. I entered the room and noticed that the floor was clean. After that, I went to the kitchen and looked at the window; it was broken."
Hello Deepak! I hope you are doing ok. I believe the answer to your question is that This happens because in the sentences you mentioned, "open" and "clean" are adjectives and not verbs. Thus, these words do not have a past tense.
The more i watch this channel's video, the more i though great it is simply improve my english a lot.
