The reason that Jenna is the youtube queen is not her view or subcount, but the fact that she unabashedly makes what she wants to put out into the world and refuses to bow down to an algorithm. I think she deserves all the success she has and I think it will last because she has nurtured one of the best, long-term followings on the platform. And to Julien, you did the same thing. I think Jenna not understanding why people still watch her just makes me love her more. I don’t think I’m the only person that has constantly watched Jenna since I was in middle school that at this point doesn’t really watch for Jenna’s content (though I love how unapologetically Jenna it is) but watch becuase it’s Jenna. I think (and I could be wrong) people watch Jenna because we watch for Jenna. We watch because we love her personality. We watch because we love her family and we are invested in that. We watch her do whatever because doing whatever makes her happy and content like that for me is the best content. Wishing you guys a happy holiday season you guys deserve the break and I’ll be excited to see what you conjure up for next year ♥️

Hearing what you guys were saying at 28:00 about Jenna's CZcams channel and bowing out gracefully is so crazy to hear, because I've been watching her since I was in middle school, and I did stop watching because I got busy, and I know that I've found that I like her newer videos so much more than the older videos. I honestly think that posting what she wanted to do has helped her channel grow so much because it's so real. Most CZcamsrs are only making things they think everyone wants, so I say it's refreshing to wake up and see "giving myself a beard" or "treating my dogs like babies" instead of something common
I have a lot of friends that stopped watching her years ago, but I've been a loyal subscriber from day 1 and I told them they'd love her new content. Now they're loyal subscribers as well. She's such an amazing person

Honestly it makes me so sad, like if you wanted to retire or bow out gracefully I wouldn't be mad at her but I would just be sad that she wouldn't be putting out anything new because for so long waiting for a video every Wednesday/Thursday was what kept me going. Also she just gives me a really good idea of the type of adult that I want to be and I'm really grateful for that.
EmtheGem I absolutely agree, I look forward to their podcast and Jenna’s videos every week because they’re the only things that have always been there for me. Yknow? Keeps me being positive about life and I would definitely miss it. But Jenna has done so much for us and she really does deserve time to herself.
The part when they talked about Jenna's content, where she said why would anyone want to watch her painting herself like a chair really got me thinking that it's really not about the videos she's making. I also like that she's keeping a kind of steady line with her content and always being her true self in fornt of the camera. The content is really about how she is as a person. And how wonderful boyfriend and dogs she has. And how well they all work as a team. And how down-to-earth people they are and how they give such a good influence to their viewers. And how wonerful dink-family they have created here on youtube. Like the combination of everything is what keeps me watching.

I am so glad Jenna talked about her CZcams career. I loved her older videos when I was younger. But now her content now makes me laugh so hard. It’s great to see her so happy and creative. It’s great to see her change and be who she really wants to be. In my opinion, it made her videos seem so more genuine and gave me the confidence to embrace my quirky side more often.

Guys I know you don't want to play regular cards against humanity, so let me pose to you a version my friend and I came up with. You each get a hand of black cards like normal, but ditch the question cards. Instead, you take turns asking your own questions about yourself. For example you might ask "what would be my worst nightmare?" or "what's my new hobby?" and everyone answers based on that specific person. It's absolutely hilarious and it changes every time you play. I never play the old version since we came up with this :) please like this so they see, I'd die laughing if they played this.

I remember when the first iPod touch came out in 5th grade and at recess we would gather around the one kid who had one and he'd turn his headphones all the way up so we could sort of hear (no external speakers!). This was how we first discovered CZcams and people like you Jenna, and Shane, and Ryan Higa, and all sorts of people who we would've never seen or heard, and now about eleven years later I still love watching your stuff. You've grown as we've grown and the world's sense of humour has developed. I am so interested to see how this platform develops and changes and how creators develop with it along with their audiences. Just know that there are people who have been here since before you learned to care for your cermets, before land shark, before spider man, before that time you couldn't go to Mexico, since the beginning. We love you and Marble and Kermit and Julien and Peach.
We're here for your personality Jenna, not your content. Doing what you want is not going to change that because you're being your truest you. If anything we love you more for it because your personality has been able to shine even more. Im a rent-paying, meal-prepping, full-time working adult and i've been watching you since middle school. Your videos have only gotten better and i've loved growing up watching you every week. We're all thankful for both of your art that you've put out in to the world. You've both gotten me through my own cancer, my sister's cancer, my mothers cancer. Through all the hardships. Thanks for all the laughs. Cheers to the end of 2018.

You guys don’t know how much you’ve helped me. End of 2017 through 2018 has been the worst years of my life. I lost my grandmother on December 2017 and then I lost my mom in February 2018. I was so depressed and I still get like that, but you two are one of the only things that genuinely make me laugh and smile. I know I can always count on you guys to make me laugh or engage me into thinking about topics and expand my mind. Thank you for being huge role models for me, and showing me life gets really fucking hard, but there’s always a light at then end of the tunnel. I will stay with you guys forever ❤️ much love 🥰

It's funny because I've always been a fan of jenna and always looked her up to watch recent videos but it wasn't until about 2-3 years ago when I just fell in love with her and the people around her and subscribed to her and very shortly after julien. Now I can't imagine my weeks without J &J and never want you to dissappear. I know we only see what you want us to see but I truly feel like you two are good people and true loving souls who I want to be associated with.

I’ve been watching Jenna since I was about 11 or so and I’m 20 in 3 weeks! I stopped watching for a while bc there was a point where my family didn’t have internet and also I just was too young to keep interested in CZcams in general! But I have started watching again for about 3 years and I am thoroughly pleased with all the content that she has made! Also “meeting” Julien was really nice too! I started watching the podcast in January of this year after watching Jenna for over 6 years, and started watching on twitch this summer, and really becoming involved in the dink fam. And its been so amazing. I don't think I would've survived my first semester of college this spring if I hadn't had the podcast to look forward to. I had a really rough summer, and coming home from work and hanging out in the chat was so amazing. I feel such a sense of community, like I'm always welcome, and I can't say that for my real life. So thank you, J&J and the dink fam, for making this year so much brighter for me. Love you both and I'll see you in the new year ❤

This podcast episode made me cry, it made me think about my year, and Jenna and Julien's year and how much they've flourished. I haven't been a fan for a SUPER long time but I can definitely say, that for the time that I HAVE been a fan, I've just grown so much love for Jenna and Julien and everything that they do. As they both said, who knows what will happen in 2019, who knows what their content will be, anything that you guys decide to do, i'll be here to support it 100%. This might sound weird but I feel like I've been following you guys for so long, you're like friends, so I love to hear what you've been up to, and there's none of the clickbait-y nonsense that makes CZcams a little hard to swallow at times. I'm 31 and dealing with having MS, I don't need the loud, shiny, look-at-me content other channels do. I just want to scream-laugh at you guys being yourselves because it makes me feel better. Tonight is the first night I tried falling asleep to a podcast but I never realized just how invested I am in listening. I’m here 35 minutes in tears in my eyes for no other reason than I’m happy you’re happy. And Jenna doing whatever she wants for her channel is the best form of self care I’ve seen on CZcams because it’s showing us that it’s really ok to just do whatever you want. With the short term goals becoming a domino effect gives me so much more security knowing that because I live my life that way it’s ok. I love you guys and can really only hope you all continue doing what makes you happy.

Does anyone know in which podcast jenna talked about how once she was taking notes in class and the next day the teacher was going over the same notes. When she asked her classmates they all said that they didn’t cover that subject but then jenna opened her notebook and all the notes were there. Anybodyyy? I wanna listen to it again😆

You guys are the most genuine people on the internet and that is why so many people follow whatever you guys do. Content can change and people can grow but genuineness will always win.I know for a fact I’ll watch both of you individually and on the podcast and other things you guys do for as long as you guys keep going. Most of us, including me, have been here for YEARS like I was literally 10 when I started watching and I’m 17 now like no other CZcamsr has an audience like you guys and no other youtuber has made me feel more comfortable and relaxed. When I’m sad and need to be happy I rewatch Julien vlogs or Jenna videos when I’m scared from something I watched on CZcams I come back here to laugh and forget about it. This is literally my comfort place and it’s completely different than any other youtuber I have ever watched. I love you guys so much and it’s been incredible to see you both grow and especially buy your house like I literally cried because I remember all the vlogs made upset because the house was a mess and you couldn’t fix it and how you couldn’t wait to get your own house someday and now it’s getting a little too long so I’ll just leave it at I love you guys so much and I can’t wait for next year

One of the main reasons that I love both of your content and have stuck around for so many years is that neither of you are pandering to an audience. A lot of videos nowadays feel like full blown productions that are there for monetary gain. When watching some content on you tube I feel like as a fan I am just a means to an end, with the end being money to gain. Neither of your videos feel that way, instead it feels like for those minutes I have the chance to hang out with some friends and catch up. It is a completely different experience, and one I am particularly grateful for considering how unique it is compared to most other big CZcams channels. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to both of you. I hope this next year is filled with as much adventure as this one has been! Dink Dink :)

This was so pleasant to watch. I’ve been watching Jenna’s videos since I was 12 years old (dear god where were my parents, I know). She was still living in Boston at the time, and I honestly thought she was the funniest person I’d ever seen. I’m now 19 going on 20 and my opinion is still the same! I’ve watched you guys grow and change over the years, and I’ve grown and changed as well. I think it’s really something special that I still enjoy watching the same people I enjoyed watching at 12 as I do now. It really speaks to your authenticity and your ability to grow and adapt as creators. It’s a true pleasure to be subscribed to your channels. Thanks for making me cry with laughter, and have deep thoughts (or sometimes not so deep thoughts) at the same time❤️
Thanks for a great podcast year! The J&J podcast has been there for me as a anxiety relief, many times. You are truly amazing people, in awe how you put together such fun episodes that I always look forward to listen to (when all else seem dull and harsh)! Here's to 2019!
