    These boots have a lot of character. I hope that mine look like that when it's time for a rebuild . . .

    *6:43** At Nick's Boots, they always clean the old stitches out, so that they don't get snagged into their sewing machines. Why don't you clean out your old stitches, and leave them in? I see a lot of them out out, but there's quite a bit that remains. Is it due to not having enough time to do that? I think it would look more professional to have all the stitches removed. The customer would really appreciate it. It would look less messy too. I do appreciate you all working very hard on your boots. It would look way better for the threads to be pulled out so they don't get caught up in your sewing machines. Ive had that happen to me.*

    I've never seen someone stitch a Cristy sole before. Interesting.

      It doesn't make much sense from a maintenance stand point. They're made to be comfy and wear out quick, made to be a glue job only.

    Messieurs, je suis admiratif de votre gestuelle rapide, précise, soignée et des matières de grandes qualités utilisées. L'expérience nécessaire au montage de ces bottes neuves ou à leurs réparations est un art au même titre qu'un ébéniste d'art, d'un maître verrier..etc etc
    La grande différence se trouve dans l'utilisation de ces magnifiques créations. Si l'ébéniste ouvre et ferme les tiroirs de son meuble marqueté mille fois par jour, sa somptueuse réplique de commode XVI présentera des problèmes au bout de trois mois alors que vos bottes crapahutent encore au bout de 5 ans à la cambrousse. Grand respect pour votre beau métier !Cordialement de Toulouse.France

      *I have drawers that I've had for years and still function lol 😅🤣! But yes, JK Boots are built to last for years! Amazing craftsmanship with their rebuilds as seen here, as well as when they make new boots in other videos 😊!*

    Would it be possible to put a piece of fabric between the layers on the counter to help eliminate any creaking sound that may be coming from the bison leather being lasted a bit looser to keep grain ascetics?

    @JinsKookieJams Před 2 měsíci +3

    *@Darth. Grogu. According to the website, the rebuild cost is way less than the boots. Also it's the customer's decision. So don't worry so much lol 😅🤣🤣🤣🤣! It's cool they offer this for people! It adds more life to the boots!*

      *Also sentimental reasons are very common reasons to resole and rebuild.*

      *In the shorter version of this video, JK Boots replied to someone that the uppers are worn Redwood leather with bison lower leathers. I mention this in case you want to order the same leathers.The patina looks great 😊!*

    Why not just make a new boot? They used like 30 percent of the old ones.

      The old boots feel more comfortable. They’re already formed to your feet and broken in. Some people recraft or resole them for sentimental reasons.

      @@wonkydonkey7899but with this approach all of that break-in benefit is gone.

      There was no reason to rebuild those, a resole and mink oil would be all that was needed. Keeping all of the upper and the insole.

    I don’t understand something)))) Did the owner of these boots care so much about these three pieces of old worn leather?)))) You replaced almost everything there.

      When the leather lowers are to far gone to repair we will do a rebuild of the boot. We offer this service as a cost effective way to get a new pair of boots to our customers (around a few hundred less). Some people see a sentimental value to a great pair of boots, others like the style or comfort. One pair of boots will last years and years with properly timed resoles and rebuilds. Hope this helps 👍
