- OK Guys, its' time to review the game last night between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins.. The Bruins won this game by a score of 5-1.. And I'm going to give my honest opinion on why the Leafs fell apart last night.. Max Domi.. Lets take a look!

Leafs management are to be commended for their loyalty. They've stuck with this core group and it's really impressive to see their faith in them in spite of the overwhelming evidence that they're completely incapable of winning anything outside of the regular season. Keep it up Leafs big bosses, just lean into it 😂
The issue is their quatuor getting 53% of the whole cap, please habs never be like that... There's a massive lack of depth in defense and out of their top 6, I have no faith until they dump Tavares or Nylander.

Yeah the guy has such stoic-level self control that he is always on top of his game, drawing penalties, making clean hits and scoring highlight reel goals when it matters the most, especially when shit starts hitting the fan

Bruins are showing us in this game that their domination of Toronto over their last tilts against each other is NO fluke. Not in the slightest. These Leafs are showing us that they don't possess the right kind of toughness to win and make a long run in the playoffs.

You know what though I got to give the Bruins credit, they’re the opposite of Toronto, they all invested in their team and their top guys took pay cuts to stay where as Toronto did the complete opposite, their players said fuck the team and put themselves before everyone

When Tavares is out, there could be something happening but Matthews and Nylander's recent contracts are a disaster! Domi when he controls his adhd and bpd can be a clutch player in games that count... Reaves on the other side helped them a couple times to chill the opponent but they really need a Xhekaj or Sieder type of guy who's useful when not crushing dudes

As a lifelong Habs fan, I lost all respect for Max Domi as a Hab when he beat up Aaron Ekblad in the preseason for no reason, classic bully move. In that same season I saw him involved with Nick Foligno and get rag dolled. He’s like a yappy dog, all bark and no bite.
I'm a big fan of the habs, surprised to see so many people cheering for the bruins over the leafs. My hatred for the leafs feels more forced these days than it used to be, possibly because of their more recent playoff issues. They're kinda like a gun with no bullet; dangerous looking but unable to do any real damage.
The bruin hate is a different kind of hate. I will never have to be forced to hate them, I feel it in my bones. I would root for any team before them, always and forever.
So go Leafs go for now.....

The same problems the Habs have and that is anyone NOT in the immediate slot is ignored that means several leafs standing around covering nobody.The Leafs although trying to play the body did not much around their net.The Playoffs are always the same the rats get away with murder and retaliation is called and loads of clutching and grabbing all around dirty hockey.The Leafs have struggled with this type of hockey which is why they struggle with the Bruins.
As we saw Marchand initiated the dirty play before the puck drop yet the ref chose to talk to Max typically I am not impressed with the officials in playoff hockey.Even if there was no Max retaliation the ref/Linesman SHOULD have stepped in to warn Marchand about crossing over the line before the puck is dropped but he said nothing to Marchand.

We have 14 d, two 1st round picks this year, 2 first round picks next year, it's time to add a 50 goal guy, and a 35-40 goal guy also. Then we are ready to compete. Let's get 'er done, plus whoever we draft, we r gonna get a stud this year, even tho we missed out on two or three last year, we are tryin to get past that! lol.

As for the officiating, it is my pet peeve, and to clarify, I am definitely not a Leafs fan.
Canadian teams' infractions get noticed far more by the zebras (and called) than American teams in Bettman's NHL IMO.

No offense at all, HJ, but everyone here knows that Toronto's precedence and trajectory, means there's a higher than average chance, that this series is over. This team can barely hold a 5-1 third period lead, much less, come from behind against a Bruins team that is still angry from being bounced last season.
For Boston, to lose to Toronto, would likely be considered the equivalent of losing to an AHL team. It would be memes for months. Bounced by the 2nd wild card after pissing away a 3-1 series lead, to then losing to ....................... Toronto. A team that has won a single playoff series in 20 years, and it was to a broken down, tired, injured, and depleted Tampa Bay team that was simply exhausted from going to 3 cup finals in a row.

Leafs need so much, a new coach and better GM moves. They need to dump one of the big 4 to create depth salary support We've always known who the real playoff leader is on the leafs, Nylander. Would he would look good in a Habs Jersey? That is the kind of elite player that the Habs need to contend.

The Leafs didn't beat themselves, the Bruins did. The ice seemed like it was tilted in favour of Boston. However, it is just Game #1 and they still have a whole playoff series ahead of them. Just like LeBron James and the LA Lakers, who lost Game #1 to the Denver Nuggets.

It's one thing to lose when you don't have talent. I can understand that. But to lose because of dumb mistakes, and by so much, it's inexcusible. I mean, they have no defense or goalkeeping, but giving up powerplays does nothing for you in that case.

Any Habs fan that's cheering for the Leafs over the Bruins needs to get their head checked. I don't care how much you hate the Bruins, which you absolutely should, you should never cheer for the Leafs under any circumstances. Anyone who thinks our rivalry with the Leafs doesn't exist anymore can find themselves a time machine and go back to 2021 when it was renewed like never before. I'm hoping for a Bruins sweep, and then obviously I'll cheer against any other team in the league who faces them.
Max is tough, just stupid. Reaves? He's an Enforcer, and plays that role very well. The Laughs were playing immature and undisciplined, while our star players were planning an early exit for vacation time, and play some Fortnite. Domi needs to get his shit together, and he should know better than to allow the rat to get under his skin. Hell, I'd say that Marchand was extremely well behaved, all things considered. Everyone hates the guy, but you know for a fact that if he were on (insert your favourite team here) you'd love the guy. I expect this to go 4 - 1 in favour of Boston, and then blow up this Leafs team. Shit, they should've moved to Utah instead, and Arizona deserved better.
