  • Quick video on how to repair the very common fault on the clio causing the airbag and serv light to come on.
    Im still not great at filming and editing but hopefully this is ok.
    Dont worry about the people who have left the thumbs down.
    Its just greedy mechanics getting upset that the info is there to stop some people getting ripped off.

    I used 2 resistors (3,9 Ohm, 5 W) to short-circuit the Yellow plug behind the wheel. It worked 🤟

      Did you find the solution? I have several wires there but the video doesn't explain which ones we need to cut.

    Hi, my drivers seat air bag had actually gone off in a little hit but will doing this turn the warning lights off? If not will I have to replace the seat or the air bag in the seat with the seat belt tensioner?

    • @HCrawf
      @HCrawf Před 6 lety

      Lewis Hall no, you’ll need to replace the airbags that have gone off and replace the airbag ecu module, which is underneath the cupholder. Once an airbag has gone off that module remembers that airbags have been deployed and puts the airbag light on, so you need to replace it

    I took my 2002 Clio to my nearest Renault dealership to deal with this problem, and they can not figure out what the problem can be....The ask me to change the module and other costly units and the problem is still there....I have booked the car for the third time and they have done nothing to it.....Should I have to contact head office in France or what?

    Thanks very helpful video. I don't know if this is a done thing, so I'm going to ask you anyway. Seem like a nice chap. I have this problem on my clio,I used to just reach under the seat and waggle the wire's a bit,bingo!not anymore,ill do as you show. But since cars last serv, February 18, the cars gone crazy. There is power getting to radio/cd but won't work,no CD or radio,confusing. When I try to windscreen wash the front screen the water sometimes sprays the front sometimes the back!!mad!. Yesterday turned on lights, when I indicated the blue high beam light flashes on and off. When I looked at the front of car the indicator bulb is glowing and one headlight is brighter than the other. Also when switch lights on low beam I get the indicator click click. Also the indicator arrow light in dash glows?! It's all gone potty. Don't suppose you can advise me please? Many thanks. Jay.

      That’ll be water ingress and corrosion on the fuse box area also causes immobiliser problems

      RC Copter the. Connectors themselves become stretched and brittle inside so electrical contact cleaner doesn't help. Thanks
