We have taken the grandchildren there at different times. The lovely peacocks spreading their beautiful feathers for them always delighted the children. I lived in Alhambra and San Gabriel for most of my life, and this place a nbn d the Huntington Library were places I used to visit frequently. Love them! However, the last time I visited the Arboretum I was attacked by a mean goose with a nasty disposition!😄😄😄
The Queen Anne Cottage was also used as the home of Ben Stiller' s parents, in my favorite, Meet the Fockers. And I love the Only Place in Town but they say it's supposedly haunted. 👻 I never saw or felt anything when I would go. Excellent vlog!

Brought me back to my childhood. Our senior class also took our class picture by the waterfall. Crazy! Did you know ROOTS was also filmed here? LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!
Wow. Whatta treat ! I would never have believed that place wasn't in Hawaii somewhere. I was young when the show came out. I'd struggle to stay awake long enough to watch it. Great show! I loved it. A lot of the stories went over my head, as I was a little girl, but it was still so magical to me. Another great video Jordan !

Living just down the Street from here, I played around inside this place day and night in the late 1970's ! There was a donation Box as the Admission in those day's
Mr. Montelban had 1 of the best marriages ever (global or Hollywood) If I remember an interview he had once they asked him what his 'secret' was to longevity of marriage......and he replied something to the effect of "My father gave me the advice that: 'Any man can please a woman for 1 nite BUT that a REAL MAN kept his wife happy and satisfied EVERY Night❤.....that was strength of a REAL MAN!'. Damn, I heard that n remember it from being a little 1 digit aged girl......absolute Gentleman ❤. P.S. He also, suffered from almost constant chronic migraines n severe back injury and would basically collapse or go be alone in pain until he had to perform.....than he just acted through it! Rip Senor Montelban 🎉❤

First time seeing the LA Arboretum. Amazing how so many shows & movies were filmed there over the years. I saw a few episodes of fantasy island. Definitely saw Wayne’s World & Jurassic Park & Tarzan. I’m surprised none of the peacocks 🦚 were showing their feathers. They can get pretty noisy so maybe it’s a good thing that they behaved themselves. Nice vlog as always. Amazing how the drought was in force even 4 years ago. It’s 2022 now & we’re still hoping for more rain. Thanks for all you & Jah do to brighten our day. 🙏🏻❤️🐕🦺🦚🌺🌼🌼🌴🌳

Wish I could explore the gardens and touch that statue from the mid 19th Century, and walk along the verandahs of the Queen Anne cottage. Lovely to see the gum tree too which I love since I'm a l'il aussie bilby.

Harve could ride in the cart at the grocery store in Burbank. You could see the tower and some of the set, the waterfall, over the wall driving by the studio. We met Ricardo at The Sands Hotel in San Diego. He was doing"Annie Get Your Gun" at the theatre there. Handsome and so nice! Wish I could show you the card he wrote me. Happy memories! It always looks like you're the only one visiting whatever place you are vlogging that day. Do you edit them out? Or do you somehow have solo access to the places you film? Just curious. Great video! Grew up and lived in Arcadia, Temple City and Monrovia for 45 years. Worked in Sierra Madre for 20 years. Ate many, many times at The Only Place in Town. Frequented all the shops you showed from Sierra Madre. Including the Play House. Sierra Madre seems to stay true to its roots. You filmed from my hair and nail salons. Did you meet Hilda? Anyway, I've left the area. Most of what I knew and grew up with has changed too much. If not for its film and TV history the Arboretum in Arcadia would most likely be something very different today. Thank you for bringing back some lovely memories. Should you find yourself in Arcadia again try going to Taco Lita on Duarte Rd. and have a Combo Burrito with Taco Lita sauce.
Such a very beautiful and peaceful little spot in the LA area. I watched Fantasy Island religiously every week when I was a little girl. My friend got to be on it once.. He said Ricardo and Harve were really nice to him, and they got him hopped up on sugar from all of the soda and candy they gave him. I think Harve lived a very sad life. That's probably why he was so demanding and got a bit to big for his britches. He must've figured he'd take advantage of his opportunities while he could knowing that Fantasy Island was most likely going to be his biggest role. Very sad man.

I worked on Meet the Fockers there. The Queens Anne Cottage is the Fockers house as well just stained and repainted. I stayed out there weeks with those peacocks raising hell with everything. Haha. Great memories!

I was a guest there one time! Dr. Pepper Convention was in L.A. once and we all went one night to see everything and. Had cocktails...of course! It was nighttime but with all the lights on it was beautiful!🌹 P.S. Thanks for the memories! 🥰
Waynes house was filmed on the other side of the block from my Dad's house on Texhoma ave and I grew up on Shoshone literally on the same block just walk around the block and there is Waynes house. I live in well I still call it Van Nuys but now I guess its called Balboa Lake . Also in my Neighborhood were I grew up was the donut shop from Boogie nights , the Catholic church that was also where my parents got married and the place I think u showed for The Chuck Landis Country club was also the roller rink used in Boogie nights which is now a Spanish church . I went to many concerts at the Chuck Landis Country Club. cool videos man I am really like them !

I worked on Meet the Fockers there. The Queens Anne Cottage is the Fockers house as well just stained and repainted. I stayed out there weeks with those peacocks raising hell with everything. Haha. Great memories!

I was a guest there one time! Dr. Pepper Convention was in L.A. once and we all went one night to see everything and. Had cocktails...of course!

Waynes house was filmed on the other side of the block from my Dad's house on Texhoma ave and I grew up on Shoshone literally on the same block just walk around the block and there is Waynes house. I live in well I still call it Van Nuys but now I guess its called Balboa Lake . Also in my Neighborhood were I grew up was the donut shop from Boogie nights , the Catholic church that was also where my parents got married and the place I think u showed for The Chuck Landis Country club was also the roller rink used in Boogie nights which is now a Spanish church . I went to many concerts at the Chuck Landis Country Club. cool videos man I am really like them !
