    As usual Max, you are flawless in your delivery of both the cue, as well as your lessons and teaching criteria. These five SO important fundamentals here are absolutely paramount for becoming a great player. Great video!

  • @gordonsmith4039
    @gordonsmith4039 Před měsícem

    One small addition to that first drill is to lay a cue on top of the rails, parallel to the line of balls, maybe three or four inches behind the line of balls. After the stroke, your shooting cue is underneath the one on the rails, and it becomes hard to just pop your body up after the shot. Of course, this addition addresses the pop up only, assuming it still exists after follow through training.
    New subscriber here, low intermediate level, but i still need to work to get better. Its hard because im old, and remember when i was pretty good. Now the eyes do t work as good, and it seems ive lost some flexibility, lol
    Thanks, Max.....

    I'm a little late to this video, but hey i found it. Max, this is a great video on the basics that most regular players do wrong. I for one did all those mistakes until a "pro-ish" friend of mine said, let's get it right and focus on that and only that. It's the best move I have ever done. So thanks for refreshing it for all of us. If I lived in America, I would get in touch with you and take some privat lessons, but as I live in Denmark, I will enjoy your work here on CZcams. • @0351marinemike

    This reiterates a lot of the things Chris Reinhold went through with me when I did a lesson with him. I'm an APA 7 in 8-ball and 8 in 9-ball... but I'm streaky and make a mistake that other 7s/8s just don't make regularly in every other rack... usually a miss that a 7 has no business missing. I need to film myself to see if it's my bridge hand or body movement. My follow through and body alignment has gotten more consistent after the lesson... and I do notice when I rush a shot, and that was the cause... it's the shots that I miss and I know those 2 things were good that leave me questioning what I did wrong... Aim? Body movement? Didn't adjust enough for cut (or spin) induced throw? Bridge hand movement? Great video Max... subscribed
