    Great spring surf, restaurants, a dolly dock thats very unique and a bit of history also.
    Join m din this video as I climb Battle Rock and share with you the scenery from a photographers perspective. It was a gorgeous day to be out, beautiful blue sky and warm sunshine! not very conducive to photography, but it was an amazing day to explore!
    Thank you very much for watching!
    Until next time,
    bye.

    Thank you SO much for bringing me home to PO!! My family moved to PO (Port Orford) in 1961 and quickly fell i love with this amazing piece of Oregon history. I was born in Myrtle Point, OR in 1950 and am a fourth generation Oregon native. My mother's roots are deep in southern Oregon, having arrived here in about 1843. I went to school in PO from 1961 thru 1966. My junior high years were at Battle Rock Jr High, perched on a hill overlooking the docks. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

    GREAT VIDEO, My 1st placed to visit in Oregon was Port Orford, I'm used to seeing beaches in Florida, this, just blew me away, I've never seen Sea Stacks before, unbelievable and mind blowing to me, hence, coming back in October to this beautiful part country.. thank you so much for posting, now I have to go see that grave.....:)

      If you get a chance, I made a video about the top 10 beaches in she southern Oregon Coast, Its my most popular video, and It might help you find more destinations in Oregon. Have fun!!!

    It's odd that I spent some of my life there in the 1960's, and yet you can still walk out to Battle Rock today, what ever happened to the rising oceans? It is exactly the same as when I lived there.

    • @wollertz
      @wollertz  Před 2 lety +3

      For what I understand they are trying to stop people from climbing the rock because of erosion, but locals arena happy with that. As far as the water level 🤣. I haven't measured anything so I couldn't tell you 😅

      Yeah, all the boardwalks on all beaches all over America are in the same places they were in the 1950s. But we need to cut off all energy supply to America immediately! We need to destroy the Capitalists! . . . ur, I mean, save the planet!

      I agree, This was before I started sharing more information, and I had plans to make a part 2 video this year, but I haven't been able to. Its a small charming town, with only a. few restaurants, Red Fish has good food, a bit pricey but good. Downtown is about a 1 mile stretch and then you're back to trees and nature, lots of beach trails and day trips available from Port Orford.

      Yes there was a cat, sadly she passed a couple of months ago, she was 18 and grumpy at times, it was difficult to include her in videos, she was so dark the the contrast was too much, and her patience wasn't comparable to Bambi's!

Your videos are fun, informative, beautiful...I learn so much about making more enjoyable videos by watching other youtubers. @wollertz  Před 2 lety +1

      @@ChooseAdventureCaliforniaStyle Awesome. I haven't learned that trick yet... I didn't even know I could upscale 1080 to 4k, I film everything in 4k, but sometimes I have to crop and I don't know how that looks, I think a lot of people watch on their phones or with slow connections that pixelate, so I haven't worried about it too much... I have seen a lot of improvement from your earlier videos, which is awesome, that's part of the idea is to get better!
