- The bite is crazy out here! Everyone limited out on black rockfish and I caught some cabazon and lingcod! It's absolutely beautiful out here in Oregon and I can't wait to come back! Big thanks to Scott Feist with Feisty Fish for putting us on fish!

Great video! Scott fiest is a great local guide, but he’s only been guiding up there for a few years. Next time u want to do rock/ling fishing trip check out mark/Jeff Lottis with 5 star charters. He knows that area better than anyone when it comes to ocean fishing he’s worked with Oregon state biologists for decades. His boat is much bigger and more comfortable. I’ve been out with them about 10 times and we’ve never not limited out on lings and rockfish. He also drops 3 crab pots so u get to bring home some Dungeness crab. He’s booked months in advance but if u are planning another trip I highly suggest him. He also does pacific halibut trips in the spring.

Reel Life Fisherman need to get up there for the coastal salmon season in November and steelies in February. As long as there is rain it’s really good.
Are the steel heads in the river in February? I know we have a decent winter run in the Sacramento area some years.. but I’ve never targeted steel heads..
Reel Life Fisherman yeah the rogue has them but every coastal stretch up there has fish, Chetco, Elk, Sixes (just north of Gold Beach by about 20 mins) they have pretty good runs with some pretty big fish
