We traveled the entire Oregon Coast in September 2023 from South to North, and once more from North to South towing our Lance travel trailer. It was a great scenic trip with a lot of attractions to see along the way. Love the Oregon Coast. Thanks for this video!

Hope you were able to make it up to Cannon Beach, the drive up is spectacular and don’t forget to stop in Tillamock.

We have been up to the central and northern Oregon coast, but it’s been quite a while. We need to get back up there soon. Thank you for watching our video and commenting.

My wife and I just purchased our first camper and we also have a 2015 F150 with 3.5L Eco Boost we are a little concerned but after watching your two videos we feel it might be possible. Can you tow RV with half ton and avoid hitch sway. We are starting to feel better but bringing our newly purchase RV home we ended up having a Amber Wrench sign come on and the vehicle had no more acceleration in drive or reverse now its in the shop . We live in Puyallup WA. It seems like your truck is not having issues the crazy thing is our trailer is 22ft 3800lb Dry weight which I think is much lighter then your RV. Was wondering if we could reach out and ask you some questions if possible just wanting to know issues you have and maintenance schedule you perform.

Congratulations on your first camper! I know you'll enjoy in, but I'm sorry it hasn't started off well. I'm not a mechanic, so I won't speculate on what I think the problem is. I'm sure your mechanic will do an excellent job with that. I'm happy to share our experience with towing with our half-ton truck. Our truck is a 2020 F-150 with the 3.5 liter eco-boost engine. We also purchased it with the "Max Tow Package." Our trailer is 27 ft (hitch to bumper) and over 5000 lbs dry weight. Our truck has 45,000 miles (approximately 25,000 miles towing) with 3 years of use. I have strictly following all maintenance schedules in the owners manual, and use full synthetic oil for each oil change. We have had no problems mechanically or with power/acceleration while towing. We live in Colorado and have towed our trailer over high mountain passes with steep grades and have had no problems. Typically, while towing over these high passes, the RPM sits between 2500 and 3000. In summary, our truck has done an excellent job towing our trailer and had no issues.
I truly hope you can quickly resolve the issue with your truck and get on the road so you can start enjoying your new camper.
