While I typically don't like things called restorations when they are actually altered from their original form, this new handle is awesome. I bet if you made a bunch of those you could sell them as aftermarket parts to vintage NES collectors that want to spice up their controllers. It really was pretty awesome. I also have to say that the results of the UV cleaning for plastic parts is so cool to see. Amazing what just some simple cleaning of things can do to make them last longer. I guess as long as people don't clean things you will be in business doing these and putting out content. Thank you for all of the videos you create. Always great to watch.

My brother had one of these for his Nintendo when we were kids. The turbo buttons are really great for playing the game Track & Field by Konami. All of the events with running required you to quickly press the A button to determine your character's run speed, and just holding down the turbo button simulated furiously mashing on the button faster than humanly possible. It was an easy win every time.

I’m convinced he has a photographic memory. He is able to put everything back together and yes he he might look back at the recordings but wouldn’t is be confusing because it’s in reverse

He does have a photographic memory, it's called a video recording... all you have to do is watch it backwards...

I have to ask: what brand/kind of soldering iron was that? It looked cool!

that is a ts100 or a ts80, both similar irons that are amongst the best rated irons on the market. one (I forget which) is USB-C powered, and the other from a 12-24v jack. I lust after one of these... there are reviews everywhere online, if you`re curious.

Thats miniware TS80P , works with Type-C 12V PD 2.0 or 9V QC 3.0 . TS100 is more popular, it works with 12-24 V DC . More powerful and tips are cheaper if i remember correctly.

I had one of these as a kid. Once I learned to use it I almost never played Nintendo with the ordinary square controllers anymore. It was a very cool accessory. You practically couldn't beat some games with out the slow motion feature; for example Abbadox. A notoriously difficult game. The slo mo and rapid fire features on the advantage made a huge difference. Ours devrloped dome kind of fsult snd stopped working but bizarrely if we plugged it into the Four Score four player adapter it worked fine. Never figured that out.

Hmm..."I make a new one" I wonder who might have inspired that line ;) Love the videos! Actually discovered you through one of your comments on My Mechanics! You're making me envious of your soldering iron though. I'll never be able to talk my wife into letting me get one though. Especially since I've already got one that technically works just fine! I spend enough on my lightsaber hobby as it is :(

Definitely restore the console! Also, if you ever get your hands on an Atari of any kind, THAT would be an awesome video as well.
