    Hey what up bro thanks for the video, it helped me change mine ,same story hit 63k and chevy would not fix it since the warranty was extended already, so thats where this video fix helped,, the condencer was 100! The kicker was the refrigerant was R1234Y .... NOTE FOR ANYONE READING! to get chevy to vacuum and recharge this high price refrigerant cost $630! So have the system checked for leaks before 60k! Thanks again you still saved me a bunch!

    Thank you for posting this. We have a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe that we bought new and at 36,600 miles the AC quit working. The dealer said SOL. Long story short our condenser had a small pin hole leak up on the driver side. GM put a piece of duct tape looking material about 6"x6" over that exact spot so they knew there was an issue with it.

    • @highspeedvehicle
      @highspeedvehicle Před 4 lety

      Log into your onstar app and there should be a special coverage for this for your model. Special Coverage 17336 should cover you till 100,000 km or 60,000 miles. I just had mine go and I emailed my dealer and attached pictures of what I saw along with the letter/notice on onstar.

  • @russellhenningertimetraveler

    The music was actually better in the background. Great info man, just just stopped working this date. Called dealership and will cover if it's actually leaking at the point you described. According to the TSB GM actually puts die into the AC system.

    I just wanted to say that after all this time, your video helped me get mine done yesterday! I had to deal with the replacement being a little bent, so had to flex it to get it to fit and the plastic housings were a pain in the ass (drivers side doesn't fit right over top port) but because of your video I was able to get it done in 3 hours give or take because of the issues I had to fight with. Thank you so much, your video and explaining what size bolts were what helped me not have to guess and just do the work! Great fuckin video man much appreciated!

    I have a Tahoe 2017 with same problem, on 7/2020 I took it to the dealer and it was cover by the warranty, I contacted the dealer to find out if the warranty will cover to repair it.
    They told me since the Tahoe has 42,000 miles warranty is only for the first 3 years or 36,000 miles. Also I called GM to check if the warranty will cover and they told no.

    Love the tutorial! Also love the music! I’m not Spanish but was born in cuahtemoc chihuahua, so I’m very familiar with the culture, and I believe I heard “puerta negra”, just forget who it’s by. Please let me know the band!

    I have 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe LTZ, the label that has the refrigerant capacity under the hood is gone. What's the refrigerant capacity?

    Hector I have a 2014 yukon that the ac compressor won't engage. I was checking for power at the relay with a test light and I touched one of the pins on the relays and the compressor engaged. I switched relays with another but it didnt work. As long as I had that one pin grounded it would work. Do you know where I need to look. thank you sir.
