RIP Aron. Nog's storyline was one of my favourite bits of DS9. From the sulky teenager sitting on the promenade, to the moment he fell in love with a girl who just happened to be a village leader, to his goal to join Starfleet and finally his learning to cope with one leg. Brilliantly written and brilliantly acted by Aron. The scene in which Nog tries to convince Sisko that he is right for Starfleet and finally admits that he wants to make more of hi life than the father he respects as an underappreciated genius. That scene was so well acted.

His scene in "Heart of Stone" where Nog tells why he wants to join Star Fleet was one of the best scenes in the entire series. For the first time, the audience was able to see more in Nog than just a typical Ferengi. We got to see a Ferengi who wanted more out of life than just the pursuit of profit."It's Only A Paper Moon" was, in my opinion, the 2nd best episode of the entire series (just behind "In The Pale Moonlight") due to the acting and interacting of Aron and James Darren. That was one of the few episodes of any TV series where the plot completely revolved around two recurring characters instead of someone from the main cast. In this episode, the main cast were all peripheral supporting characters. The recurring characters, including Aron as Nog, were a major part of what made DS9 the best of all the Star Trek series. Rest in peace, Aron!

I got very emotional watching this. I say this as someone who just picked up the show and decided to watch it from beginning to end to give it the proper chance that in retrospect it very much deserved: Nog's development as a character is one of the best, most in depth and most rewarding to follow from the beginning of the show to the very end, and knowing that Aron's portrayal was so heartfelt and genuine puts the ultimate exclamation point on DS9's posthumous success as a complete -if, at times, quirky- series, owing in large part to its cast of actors and characters that made the show memorable even with relatively minor parts to play. Thank you, Aron, for gifting us with Nog who we got to see develop and be raised from a punk Ferengi kid hanging out on the promenade and engaging in mischief to carving an almost unbelievable path as a capable, respected, well-rounded Starfleet officer. Rest in peace; you will remain in the Star Trek hall of fame for eternity, and it's very well reserved. ❤️

*_Thanks for the memories, Mr Eisenberg._* DS9 was the 1st Star Trek series that I watched from the beginning, on TV.
The 100 gross of self-sealing stem bolts has been beamed over near the gates of the Divine Treasury to use at your disposal, Captain Nog. Live long and prosper 🖖🏻

I just re-watched "The Siege of AR-558", which was always a tough watch for me, but it took on new meaning this time. Getting ready to ball my eyes out (even more) when I get to "It's Only a Paper Moon". Thank you for the gift, Aron. Forever in the Divine Treasury.

I just binged watched DS9 all 7 seasons, and it was the first time watching it too. I fell in love with DS9, when I younger, I didn't give it the time of day. I longed more for the TNG style of adventure, and felt that DS9 didn't deliver that as it focused more on politics and morals. Now it's one of the best I've seen in a Star Trek series, along with Voyager.

The Feringgi episodes are one of the best Star Trek episodes ever. Really loved how Nog evolved from that illiterate runt, into a Starfleet officer. Especially loved that episode where Jake was secretly teaching Nog how to read. RIP Aaron, you really touched hearts with your performance.

For me as a trekki he joins Nimoy and others, in that his legacy will go on, and he will keep changing lives to the better all over the globe with what he's done in Star Trek, if nothing else. Thank you, Aron.

It's a crime that he's not still here with us. I would've loved to see him reprise his role once more - perhaps in a cameo in the new Star Trek. He still had so much energy and love for his craft, it would've easily brought him as much joy as for us fans.
Gone well before his time, he will be missed. RIP Aron.
