You should change the title of your video FYI. It implies that you regret buying the car. Comes across extremely negative yet the video paints it all positive. Anyone looking at your title thinks you regret buying the car.
The ZR1 will be heavier, won’t sound as good if they turbo it, and it will have higher running cost.
Where’s the “regret” factor? You made a business decision to buy this car to generate CZcams content. You accomplished that goal. Now you’re moving on to the next vehicle to keep your channel fresh. Seems to me like a win!

I finally got to drive a C8 a few days ago. I put 200 miles on a 70th anniv. coupe. What a blast!! It was plenty fast and so incredible through the curvy roads I took it on! Intoxicating!

I just got my C8 Z06 order a 1100 status at GM a preliminary status but very excited 😊
It's time to let the Z06 go, it's still a fantastic car, but the real fun is in the ZR1. I just hope GM doesn't take too long to introduce the car, but now is the perfect time to sell the Z06 before it starts to go down in value.
We asked for track videos with the Z06 and you delivered, even though it wasn't cheap. thanks
The ZR1 will be even more costly to track, though. If Austin’s Z06 spec was $180K, then best believe a well specced ZR1 will be $200K +. Yeah it’ll be faster than the Z06, but there won’t be another car quite like the Z06, at least for the foreseeable future.
I honestly can’t see them dropping in value that much, especially if rumors persist about the E-Ray being the car that replaces it.
@@danieldickerson4838 I think you missed the point. he is still young and is aiming to compare and test different cars, he is not obligated to "marry" with the Z06 or any other car. the cost to maintain a ZR1 will be the same cost as the Z06, because the things that wear out (tires, brake discs and brake pads) will be similar or even the same used in the Z06 including fluids.
ZR1 will possibly be TT, that means they will probably have to reduce the engine rpm to 7500-7800rpm. so maybe even gas consumption will improve.
And you can be sure, when it is announced the prices of the Z06 will start to plummet, by then more of them will be produced and the E-Ray will already be in the hands of customers. financially he is making the right decision.
@@Luke-cb3ly I mean it’s ultimately his money, so he has the right to do whatever he chooses to with it. I, as a viewer, am fine either way, as it simply means more content to consume from Austin. I was merely giving my personal outlook on things in general, and the Z06 specifically. It’s a bit of a shame that it’s now up for sale, but I very much understand why Austin has done so.
Would be great if there was a way to raffle the car you SP subscribers. If we all bought a ticket at 5$ he could potentially double his asking price and give over $100k to a charity as a tax deduction. Just a thought. I would love a chance to win this car while supporting the channel & charity.

I love your vids. I’ve been to bowling green, watched the C8s going to their owners… etc. I’ve been wanting a Z06… went for a C8, bought a 2SS 1LE.
You shouldn't sell it. That's probably the best gas powered Corvette for the track that Chevy will ever make.

as a c8 owner I thank you for your work. reconfirms my fears that chevy didnt invest the time or money to maintain the c8 corvette line properly nor responsibly. There is nobody in Oklahoma i trust taking my corvette to. get what you pay for - thats the trade off between chevy and those other guys like ferrari or porsche

Z06 is to new. Get some miles in it, and get a set of street wheels that are alloy, metal. For non track use.....

He needs to drive the north cascade HWY (20) in it, I did it a couple of times in my 23 C8 Z51 and what a blast it was.

I have a regret too - watching your YiuTube videos.
My 720s is fully clear PPF-wrapped. Wrapping it on both the Corvette and McLaren can be pricey due to their shape, but I find it worth it. It's easy to clean, quick, and always flawless. Should boost the resale value.
After watching what you went through with the tires. I woyld never purchased anything from chevy again, Imagine what the hassle would have been like with something more serious

Austin can you help me locate all seasons for my Z06? Can you do a vlog “why can’t a Z06 owner get Michelin all seasons for a Z06?” The new ERay will have all seasons as stock with same fitment and can’t find them. You could do another good deed by bringing exposure to this issue. When I go to Colorado many evenings even in summer in 30’s and 40’s. I’d really appreciate it. Just one video might get job done. And we should promote having all seasons it could have helped you on your cross country trip and ZR1 should have thereby extending more than 6 months of use in colder climates or areas with altitude. My disappointment with the C8 Z06 is with the weight. I wish they would have done something for weight reduction. Otherwise, I think it is a great car. I enjoy your channel.
To lower weight that takes carbon body panels and tub more aluminium on chassie and that costs money and carbon costs money and time making it! So it's not a 110k starting price it's 210k starting price even more actually but you get the answer! Plus it has all the luxurious heated cooled seats really heavy aircon stereo all adding weight! Its a quick car to beats everything from lambos is Porsches Ferraris you cannot beat the zo6 for what you pay! It's a flippen BARGAIN! It would be nice if it was lighter I get it but it would not be the working man's sports car it would be the rich man's only! But seriously look at it! Build quality is now as good as European cars especially the interior! For 110k c'mon how Chevy can build it for that is astonishing! God bless🙏❤

I took delivery of a Z06. Two thousand mile mark my check engine light comes on, Brought it in, it, kept coming on next thing. You know they said I had to replace an entire transmission at the three thousand mile mark. Then they had my car for 3 months , And I had Paid off two hundred and fifteen thousand dollar Z06. Also, I had things set up for appearances and lost thirty five k, and I could not sell my car for 6 months. I took delivery of a Z06/Z07. Then the manager in houston, texas on I10 in kirkwood the gm Josh. I asked for 3 months a payments in three insurance payments. Which when it came out to sixteen thousand six hundred and sixty six dollars. They refuse to pay it plus I asked for a 100000 mile warranty. He said he would give me that, but he. Refused to pay any money while I didn't have that car for 3 months. So I lost that on $35000. It appearances plus they refused to give me 16000 back for 3 months of having my vehicle. And it just took them one month to even give me a replacement on a tire. I love the car Dunkin'. Wrong but the service from GM trash. I will never buy another core vet again

Why not get rid of the McLaren sense you have a new one coming? Or get rid of the Raptor Truck and get a regular truck.
