Even if the story was a bit crappy, you gotta acknowledge that the CGI scenes are top-notch especially the swinging scenes
I mean I could enjoy it, I never hated this era of Spidey. And especially CGI in this era is on point. MCU Tom Holland's Spidey is.. weird for me for some reason, but I can not pinpoint why.

Shame The Amazing Spider Man was cancelled because I really think it was such a great film. Then again Homecoming was good too with amazing comedic cast.
Here are a few other details.
Peter's web shooters in this movie are still the same as the ones in the last movie; the red outer shell is just there to help protect the devices from being damaged the same way they were broken by the Lizard during the final battle. Electro is still able to damage them because the web fluid is conductive, hence why when Spider-Man looks at his broken web shooter in Times Square, there's webbing bursting out of the shooter.
Spider-Man climbing up his webs while swinging is also something he does when he chases Harry to the top of the clock tower.
During the final battle with Electro, when Electro holds Spider-Man in the air with his electricity, the electricity is fixed on Spider-Man's web shooters, as they're the only parts on his costume that can conduct electricity.

Despite the story being wanky, you have to admit that the suit design although looks Basic feels like the vintage comic suit more than any of the other film versions of the Spidey suit, and the swinging scenes are so golden

In the first film, he shoots his webs in slow motion and there's a small delay.
At the end of the second film where he tries to save gwen, there's no delay in the web shooters.
This could mean that he improved the web shooters.

there is this little detail that the whole movie is about time.
it start with the wristwatch in movement and it end with the tower's clock blocked.

and i find it very deep, i love that peter doesn't have time to do all the things he have to do and fails... peefectly showed when he is with goblin on the tower. You can see how he is desperately trying to stop time: he try to save gwen, stop the mechanism and harry at the same time. it represent the mess in peter's life and obviously everything explodes at the same time, cousing the death of his love.
It must have been a nightmare to watch a VERRYYYYY LOOONNNG movie in 0.25x speed and only get 20 details

I don't know if anyone noticed but at the moment where Green Goblin hit his head during the final battle, you can see that it was Dane DeHaan's stunt double who did so. Notice that his teeth were white when he cringed in pain whereas DeHaan's goblin actually had darker teeth.
