Sometimes i see a lot of people in a store shorter than me but sometimes when i go downtown(Toronto the same city as this guy) a lot of people are taller than me like head and shoulders above. As of gr7 and 8 i was one of the tallest in my class about 70-80% of the guys my age were shorter than me, 90% of the guys a year younger were shorter than me but now it's about 50% including a year younger.

6’4” is the perfect height, your perfect for sports and perfect to get just about 99% of females so no more rejections from tall girls. At 6’4” you can also eat a lot of food without getting fat etc. I’m 6’2” at 16 and hoping to be 6’4” at 18 or 19 which I think I can do.

True, I've been called tall at least 5 times last year and I'm 5'10 in a country where that is 1cm below average. It's all relative. When your overall body type is good and you're like average height, people don't really know how to describe your body and just end up saying you're tall. That's how I explain it.

I'm a 24 year old cancer survivor who's 5'5. I had cancer during my teenage years so the cancer and chemo slowed my bone growth and stunted it, the doctors says I would have probably been 5'10-6ft if not for my past sickness. So it sucks for me personally, I wish I was taller, I'm constantly mocked for my height😞. Anyways, you're not short at all, you're normal height and a good looking dude. Edit 4 years later: I tried to be positive but I still struggled a lot. Now my cancer came back very aggressive, It's tearing my body and I'm mostly bed ridden, at best I only have a year to live and honestly I don't mind it anymore because the experience of being a short man is infinitely more painful than the cancer I had to deal with, now I can just finally rest and be free from the shackles of heightism.

A few years ago at 18 years old when I never took any notice of my height, I knew I was tall enough already as many people told me i'm tall. I used to say I was 5'11 when I was I was actually a little over 6 feet tall. At the time I didn't care and didn't know about the "Golden" 6ft tall requirement for guys. 5'11 sounded tall to me at the time. Fast forward a couple years later and I am now 6ft1 at 23. Lol. I was a late bloomer. I was 5'6 until 16 years old. Little height story.
I'm a 5'4 Filipino American, and I just came back from living a year in Japan... I'm a lot closer to the average there compared to the US lol. The interesting thing is, is that height seems to be practically invisible from my experience living there. Where height is of great importance here in the US, is not so important as the connection you make.
Americans are short compared to Germans. Everyone in Germany is 6ft+. I was there and it's crazy how short we are compared to them. It must be a European thing.

Great analysis of this sir! People always assume I’m 6’1 when I’m actually 5’11 and some change in reality and when I claim I’m 5’11 everyone thinks I’m lying and say I’m way taller. I always measure in centimeters, better and more accurate. But people tell me I’m tall regardless, just goes to show how tall a legitimate 5’11 or 181cm guy really is, although in general height is very subjective in most places.

I used to be really fat and then between last year up to now I’ve lost 36lbs of and even gained some muscle as a result. Putting this out there for my shorter brothers, a boot with a moderate height increasing insole is an easy 3 extra inches that won't seem off or feel uncomfortable. You don't need it, but hey, sometimes you like to feel a little taller too right?

I often meet women that are either the same height or taller, still obviously not the majority and only one of my friends are shorter than me. It's more about proportion. You might look short even if you're 5'10" if your torso is long compared to you limbs. But he's right that many guys inflate their height. People had told me they were 5'9" while they clearly were shorter than I'm . But it's about proportion and not being overweight. Doesn't matter if you're 6'6". If you're overweight, you won't look as good as a fit 5'6" guy .

I'm 1.87 m tall without shoes, very close to the 6'2 mark but I mostly claim 6'2 whenever someone asks me because i mostly wear shoes all of the time and they put me almost to 6'3 anyways 😅. I'd say it depends on statistics. People call others short very quickly, sometimes even those of average height but to be considered tall, you have to be an absolute giant. E.g. the *measured* (not self-reported) average height of all adults in Germany is 5'9''/175 cm. An inch below that and people will probably call you short. But some don't consider anyone tall up to 190-ish cm, so 6'3''. That just doesn't make sense.
Im 6’ 2” and the tallest out of my friends. But when im around other people i tend to forget im tall and feel short, maybe its a self of steam issue, but i honestly think it depends where you are.

Your height does change during the day. When you first get out of bed, you are at your tallest. You gradually shrink by three-fourths of an inch, on average, throughout the day. Mine varies a little, but I am around 5'11'' overall. Sometimes I measure over, sometimes under and sometimes right on the money. It depends on what time of the day I get measured.

A few years ago at 18 years old when I never took any notice of my height, I knew I was tall enough already as many people told me i'm tall. I used to say I was 5'11 when I was I was actually a little over 6 feet tall. At the time I didn't care and didn't know about the "Golden" 6ft tall requirement for guys. 5'11 sounded tall to me at the time. Fast forward a couple years later and I am now 6ft1 at 23. Lol. I was a late bloomer. I was 5'6 until 16 years old. Little height story.

The interesting thing is, is that height seems to be practically invisible from my experience living there. Where height is of great importance here in the US, is not so important as the connection you make.

I'm 5'9 and from Denmark and the average height for men here is just under 6 feet. I often meet women that are either the same height or taller, still obviously not the majority and only one of my friends are shorter than me. I would say that I am short, I do however not feel particularly short especially when I'm visiting other countries.
It's more about proportion. You might look short even if you're 5'10" if your torso is long compared to you limbs. But he's right that many guys inflate their height. People had told me they were 5'9" while they clearly were shorter than I'm . But it's about proportion and not being overweight. Doesn't matter if you're 6'6". If you're overweight, you won't look as good as a fit 5'6" guy .

I'd say it depends on statistics. People call others short very quickly, sometimes even those of average height but to be considered tall, you have to be an absolute giant.
E.g. the *measured* (not self-reported) average height of all adults in Germany is 5'9''/175 cm. An inch below that and people will probably call you short.
But some don't consider anyone tall up to 190-ish cm, so 6'3''. That just doesn't make sense.

I'm 6 foot and a half and I don't really feel tall there's tons of ppl I know that are 6 foot. Tall to me would be 6'2 and up.
It's close to average so lot of people around your height or taller still im 181cm which is slightly taller than average but slightly shorter than average in my age group. I usually think 6'3 and up is legit tall. 6'2 is pretty tall but it's under 190cm so idk and it's still close to 182cm my age group average. Well at least it's tallish.

I'm 5'5 (166cm) I don't feel that short in public and I'm in ireland where average is 5'10. It depends on what group i'm in and most people think i'm 5'8 for some reason. I don't get judged alot and my dating life was always good. I haven't been rejected by girls because of height either, some told me I was short but didn't care. Most girls I dated was taller and I never thought about my height until I went online. Yall need to chill lol.

@@pena380 like I said, I'm very appreciative of my current height even because some adult males just get to like 5'5". Everybody aspires to be taller because of the attention, the dominance, the feeling of superiority or attraction. I hope to be tall but I appreciate my height and consider the height of others and try not to take it for granted.

People just inflate their height to seems taller. 5'8 says 5'10 and goes away with it leaving those who are honest 5'6 wondering they're shorter. That's right. After asset bubble we're now in a height bubble
