What life is like as a Developer

- A day in the life of a Programmer in Australia on the weekend, doing things like working on side projects, startups and more!
As someone who programs, my day doesn't just involve coding, but quite a few different things! As a day in the life coder, I do love making websites in HTML, CSS and JS, but I find most days working more in React Native and doing lots of JavaScript. As a day in the life programmer, my life also includes spending time on Github, a place I live on, with most large projects on there and github issues are the bane of my existence.
As a Software developer day in the life includes enjoying working on Saturday. It's more quite and I get to focus on programming a bit more from home. If you're a web developer, you probably know what I mean.
Doing youtube also means that I often dedicated a bit of time as well to planning out videos for you all too! If you like this video, and want to see more like it, don't forget to tell me!

Absolutely loving the camera angles Adrian!
I’m trying to get better :) thanks!
So professionally done man. Congrats on a great vid!
Really like ur vids Adrian! Keep it up!
Awesome cheers :)
Quick question: Is this a computer monitor or a space shuttle commander console you use? Asking for a friend.
Both!
Wow this is literally the best way to start the week🔥
Thanks!
Nice video dude!
We've had some wonder weather here in Perth recently hey. I've started working near the window so I can enjoy it a bit more during the day.
Nice 👋 from another Perth Person!
Hello! Love you're videos! I just wanted to ask what's that app called that you use for you're iPad ? The "To do list" app. :)
This is the life I wish for everyday 😂🌺 Thanks for the inspiration Adrian
Thanks, it took me many steps to get to this point, and I think with enough determination, everyone can!
Great 👌 video, very motivating
Haha did you watch that crazy video that wix attached to the headphones?
Haha yeah, i posted the whole thing on my twitter!
great video as always. Please what is the name of iPad Canvas style ToDo - Handwritten notes app?
conceptsapp!
Hey man, this is a super old comment so I don't know if you'll see it, but I just liked an subscribed!
I don't have a College Degree, only finished a IT ServiceNow Bootcamp and have six months experience at my first job in IT. The company just did a MASSIVE layoff and so I have been reworking my portfolio website and resume. Part of it was actually following along and then improving upon where you left off on your recent ChatGPT 2.0 video so I can add it to my portfolio website (With absolutely no React experience only a week after learning how to open and manage my own cloud server may I add lol).
I just want to say you have genuinely inspired me to go into Web and Software Development. I was originally doing the ChatGPT React App to have just anything to help me stand out on my Portfolio Website until I started running with it, making it my own and realizing how much I really enjoy it. Thank you for that!
If you've ever considered paid tutoring let me know. I am still very new to JavaScript and could use some guidance.
Question as in ICT(Strand in SHS) student: How do you remember all the codes you need to put? I mean, do you sometimes forget it? And can you give me some tips on how to remember them? Im soon to be a Comp Sci!
This is exactly how my life is too as a developer. But I love hanging or chilling out tho just to cool off
This is the life I've been dreaming of ever since I started learning web dev. It was great to see it in action so I can keep visualizing it every day to keep me focused and motivated. I will wait for my day! :)
Your videos are always inspiring and packed with takeaways! Thanks for that!
Question/video idea: I remember starting web design using Apple iWeb but haven't touched it in years, what would building a "modern" website look like in iWeb and what does the code it generates look like?
iWeb? whats that?
@@AdrianTwarog It was an app in the iLife suite in the late 2000s, it let people build sites in the same way they would build a slide in Keynote/PowerPoint. I remember very little about it, I know it had a bunch of themes and JS widgets (I remember a countdown clock, an XML feed one, and a map widget). It'd be interesting to see how they hold up with the modern web and if they even work!
Here's one of the getting started videos they made a decade ago: czcams.com/video/OMcGHMEiRkA/video.html
Hi. which window laptop are you using? is it good for web development? thx
What brand of laptop you were using??😊😊
5:20 what is this device called i am bit of a nerd . Am very intrigued by it
good luck
i want to ask you that i need website to downlod photos to make out project because iam learning to be front end developer
I’m glad I’m not the only dev that gets super focused in the night
Love the part you actually went outside Sir I don't actually go outside always inside coding, my friends really say I'm weird because of this 😂
What drone do you have? I'm running a small channel (this one), and I will make some nice nature-landscape videos for my tutorials. I have a DJI Mavic mini.
Cheers,
Nikola
Air 2s!
You are very hard working
yeah
thanks for video and your's content.
Ah, Australia is so cute. I have a dream. I want to move there to live once.
Would I find a company where I can work and my own place for living if I went to Australia as frontend developer with 1-2 years experience of work?
I think so, there are not as many developers as you might think, at least that's what the recruitment companies tell me
Artiste
Cool video! This nice inspiration. Greetings from Russia!
Thanks and hi!
If you're really in Australia, why wasn't the opening shot of this video upside down?
What are you hiding from us??
I had it flip it in post production!
How many laptops do you use? :) (both windows and mac)
All of them!
@@AdrianTwarog what do you use as main? Can you maybe in a video show web development setup on windows machine? (WSL and so on)
can i ask you a question what is the start basic salary for junior flutter developer who is new comer to australia
I would say at least 60k
Excellent job and great setup!!! but please add some workout or at least walking for half an hour..Im also a programmer with 10+ of experience working remotely and it will really help your mental and phisical health...
The obligatory question, what note app are you using there?
concepts app
@@AdrianTwarog Oh you do the notes there as well? Are those searchable?
I am using good notes, but it does not have common text features nor search, I'd love to have something like Notion but where I could also draw directly into it.
This is dream setup :-) Code like a pro
tHANKS!
That monitor is overkill.
Why don't you use notion for todo lists
I use it for planning, but something about writing todo lists feels better when I check them off
@Adrain Definitely you need to consider some jogging / walking some physical activities( not carrying laptop there too) these days :-)
I know! I'm been lack and haven't exercised recently (15 years)
Hey great video! I know this is outta the blue but umm I have this school carrer project for the final. I'm required to ask someone in software developing interview questions. I was wondering if I could send you some interview questions for you to answer. If you're not comfortable with answering that's ok, I just wanted to ask. Thanks!
Sure happy to have you send me something, I could even do a more video like questions and answers thing!
@@AdrianTwarog Cool! Is there somewhere I can send these interview questions? Social media? Email?
I'm a decent react programmer , I knkw backend with python flask and entry level node express , I've done masters in IT , In india we get ridiculously low salaries , can you give me some tips to earn more?
I would recommend doing more internationally. If you're active on social media and places like devto, people can reach out to you as well. Danny Thompson has a great course for linkin too that could help for this
@@AdrianTwarog I'll try it out thanks Adrian 🤘
Funny how I keep getting a Webflow ad everytime I watch one of your videos😂
Yet I make videos for editor x! yeah webflow are smashing it with ads, I see one basically everyday I check a video from deved, traversy or designcourse
Have to say, the worst part about all this is ur back when u r setting on the desk 😅 .. I am a developer as well, I know how it feels after few years of setting that way 😅😅 .
But other than that, good luck man 👍
Only tip: Get outside more; without the computer ;) Can't hurt.
01:00 Are you sure, a little? haha!
One conclusion I've reached out to is that You are rich , Second one is compared to me You are crazy rich 😶
I wish, but i guess it's all relative. I actually avoid spending as much as possible, I usually buy $2 t-shirt on sale which I wear for years, and one good monitor which will last me a decade, in a way, that investment feels like a good choice since I spend 85% of my year on it!
@@AdrianTwarog You are smart and rich , My edit 😅
Rich people don’t work by themselves, they have other people working for them. And, where do you get $2 t-shirts, I want those! Send the link

why programmers never interact with people
What about kids Adrian ?
I tried to hide them in the background, i usually spend time after school with my son :)
You're so cute and lovely man 💋
Sounds like a cog-life. Diversify dude! You only have one life.
